I am trying to download an image from a vendor's media gallery to use on our website. When I press the link to download the image iCloud opens but I can't find the image. I'm not sure it even downloaded. Can anyone help me?

This sometimes means that the original website has provided a link to a web.me.com page on MobileMe, which of course closed last summer - when this happens you get redirected to the iCloud login. When you hover over the image look at the link in the bottom bar, or control (right) click it and choose 'Copy link location' or equivalent to find out what is going on. If it is a web.me.com address it's dead and only they can fix it.

How do I disable automatic image downloads if there is no option to turn that function on/off in Options/Control???

I want to turn off the automatic image download function, and DO NOT have that option on the Option/Content tab. I have looked everywhere I can think of for an option to stop web pages from downloading a ton of stuff I don't want to see, and I cannot find a way to do it anywhere. I am VERY frustrated at this point, because all the help info I found online from other sources say to uncheck the Automatic Image Download box on the Content Tab in the Options dialog box.
That option isn't there... The only things available on that tab are "Block Pop-ups," "Fonts & Colors," and "Language." That's it. I have automatic updates enabled for Firefox, and it is up to date.
Please help me solve this very annoying problem. Thank you.
BTW... EVERY search I did on the tech support page said there were 1000 answers/solutions found. This tells me that your search function is NOT working very well at all...Every search should not return the EXACT same quantity of results.

iWeb will still be around but as Jeff pointed out if you want a blog with visitors comments you should consider converting your iWeb blog to WordPress. Rage Software has created an applicaiton that will convert your current iWeb blog w/visitor comments to a Wordpress blog. You can get the application here: Convert Your iWeb Blog to a WordPress Blog.
If you don't have visitor comments then the iWeb blog will continue to work for you on a 3rd party FTP server.

I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. In addition the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on.
HOWEVER, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still currently available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those copies still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

IOS 8.1 Does Not Download All iCloud Mail/ Keeps Cache?

I have setup and enabled an iCloud e-mail account on all of my devices and was successfully able to use the Mail app in Mac OS X Yosemite to copy mail from my Yahoo! inbox to my iCloud inbox. All e-mail copied from Yahoo! Mail appears in the OS X Yosemite Mail app as well as in the iCloud.com site, however, my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5 both running iOS 8.1 does not download all of the mail from iCloud. I have tried the following on both iOS 8.1 devices with no success.
- Disable iCloud mail and re-enable
- Sign completely out of iCloud and sign in again, then reconfigure all iCloud services including mail
The result of both steps is that the incomplete list of e-mail in the iCloud inbox just reappears in the Mail app instead of downloading from iCloud again. It looks like the incomplete list of e-mail is stored on the iOS device and signing out of or disabling iCloud mail just hides it; re-enabling or signing in merely shows it again. This appears to work differently than my Yahoo! Mail configuration where if I sign out of or delete the Yahoo! account and reconfigure, iOS downloads a fresh copy of all e-mail in the inbox and all other folders. Here are my two questions:
- How do I get my iPhone and iPad Air 2 to download ALL e-mail from my iCloud mail account?
- Are my suspicions true? Does iOS actually store a cached copy of iCloud mail on the device when the service is disabled and just "redisplays" it when re-enabled?

Yesterday (Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014) I made some updates on an iCloud Numbers document that I use to share data between my Mac at work and my Mac at home.
This morning (Thursday, September 18, 2014), I can't access iCloud Numbers AT ALL.
There was no warning yesterday that I wouldn't be able to access iCloud Numbers.
When I click on Numbers iCloud a popup that tells me to upgrade to iCloud Drive to use it, but warns that I won't be able to use it on any of my devices that aren't upgraded to iOS 8 or Yosemite Beta. My only choices are "Learn more," "Not Now," or "Upgrade now." "Not now" simply puts me back into iCloud.
I'm not in the position TODAY to upgrade all my Macs all at once, especially to a beta operating system (Yosemite).
With no access to iCloud Numbers on either of my Macs, how do I download the latest version of the numbers document to save it?

I was able to send (email) myself a copy of my iCloud Numbers documents through my iPad Numbers app . Thankfully, they were synced, so I didn't lose anything.
This forced beta OS update has got to be a mistake.

It has the Icloud icon in the top right hand corner of the cover and if i click on play it starts to download from Icloud again and it does this each time i wish to play it, the same now happens to all my purcased movies which of course uses additional ISP download allowance. Before the recent update and lay out of Itunes this didn't happen i just purchased a movie and downloaded it then synced it to my ipod and enjoyed it. But now this latest movie purchase will not download to my ipod. I have sent the problem to Itumes and if there is answer i havent received it. Appreciate any advice

You may need to download a lower resolution version of the movie in order for it to sync to your iPod.

From iCloud Control Panel 2.1.1 for Windows
"iCloud Control Panel 2.1 and later includes support for Windows 8"
but you still need to set it up on a Mac or iOS device, "Note: To create an iCloud account you need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later."

Hi, I'm a pc user and am trying to access an ical via the icloud. This ical houses information about work etc and it is quite important that I can gain access to it. To that end I have created an apple id and password and downloaded the icloud for the pc. However , when I get to the sign in page and use my apple id, I get a message to the effect that my apple id is ok, but its no good for an icloud account/ or I dont have an icloud account. You must create the account using an Apple device, a Mac (Lion or greater) or an IOS device (IOS5 or greater). Having done that you will be able to sign in from your Windows machine.
FYI, iCal is an application that can display calendars from iCloud (and others) it is not a calendar itself, merely a calendar client. In Windows Outlook is the calendar client.

what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when iPhoto opens?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

You can't setup (create) an iCloud account using a PC. You must use an Apple device, a Mac or an iPhone etc. Once you have created an account you can sign in from your PC.

That's possible if he didn't connect to a WiFi hotspot after taking them. I don't think the "Personal" Photo Stream uploads over Cellular, unless they changed it since the last time I used it.
If that's the case, then the photos likely didn't upload to Photo Stream and are stuck on the phone.
And you're not going to be able to get them back, either.

Downloaded latest icloud software update on my PC and now icloud does not work with Outlook. It wiped out my contacts list. During numerous attempts to set up icloud get this error message "apple outlook dav config has stopped working" Apart from the the obvious bin iPhone and get a another type of smartphone which has sync software that does not conflict with Outlook - Any ideas how to resolve this problem?
