HT201317 Permission to edit photo stream?

I use a photo stream to share photos of my children from my iPhone with family.  Can I give my wife the ability to add photos to the same stream?  She is also on iPhone with her own apple id.

According to information from Apple, with ios 7 this fall you will be able to do just that.

  • How can I edit photo stream photos on my PC?

when editing my photos with standard windows photo editing SW, when it tries to save it says "photo can not be saved because of a problem with the file's photo properties".  I checked to ensure the properties was not checked as read only, and all else looks ok.  Any help is appreciated...

Welcome to the Apple Community Katie.
It is the purpose of photo stream to sync all photos to all devices, the only way to remove the photos from the computer without affecting other devices is to turn photo stream off.

  • HT201317 How come my photo stream no longer updates photos automotically?

My phone no longer updates photos which I take automotically and the settings have not changed. I've also deleted many photos in my photostream so there's definitely enough room. My phone and laptop are also connected to wifi and icloud is on.. Can't figure out why this isn't working..

You might have to go to Settings>iCloud and turn photo stream off, then back on to get it working again.  To avoid losing any photos in the process, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to keep, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  When you turn photo stream back on, you will only get photos added in the last 30 days.  Older photos are removed from your photo stream (even though they will remain on your device until deleted or you turn photo stream off).
Also, photos are only added to photo stream when you are connected to wifi, the camera app is closed and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.

  • HT201317 import pics from photo stream

help i dont know how to import photo streaming pics from my i phone to i tunes  how do i do this

Your iTunes library doesn't contain photos.  It only syncs photos stored on your computer to your phone.
If you mean that you want to import photo stream photos to your computer, you first have to save them to the camera roll on your phone (by opening the my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll), then import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
If you mean that you want to enable photo stream on your computer so photos you take on your phone are automatically streamed to your computer, you first have to sync your computer with your iCloud account.  If your computer meets the minimum system requirements, you can set up iCloud as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/, then turn on photo stream.

  • Editing Photo Stream Pictures

When I edit a photo stream picture the only option it gives me is to save it to Camera Roll.  Is there a way to change this so it will save the edited photo to Photo stream?

The order displayed is 'Date taken' and then 'Date modified', but any photo without a 'date taken' will appear at the bottom , not the top

  • HT201317 Pictures moved from Photo Stream to another Folder are pixelated.

I will add a picture to my photo stream and it shows up perfectly clear in the photo stream album. When I move it to the camera roll, it becomes pixelated and very unclear. This does not happen with all photos. How do I resolve this?

I am having this problem as well on random images, except it isn't evenly distributed pixiliation like on this example, but sections of totally black pixels.

    Hello Glenn,
This can be done with a Shared Photo Stream, as detailed in the following article.

  • HT201317 I had my photo stream on and my icloud all set up, i just had the screen replaced and they somehow lost all the photos off my phone, but why wont the photo's reload back on to my iphone now that im connected to wifi again, where are all my photos

I had my photo stream on and my icloud all set up, i just had the screen replaced and they somehow lost all the photos off my phone, but why wont the photo's reload back on to my iphone now that im connected to wifi again, where are all my photos???

When photos are added to the photo stream album on a device (either due to a new photo having been taken or having been synced from another device using the stream) they remain in the album.  However, the syncing process involves copying the photos to the photo stream server where they are kept for a maximum of 30 days, up to 1000 photos.  If a device is reset or the stream is turned off or turned back on again (or in your case, the device was repaired), the photos that were on the device's photo stream album are gone and the only ones to appear are those that are currently on the servers (recall the 30 day limit).
If some of your photos are older than 30 days, then they are no longer stored on the cloud and hence are not synced down to the iphone.
Recall, photo stream is just a syncing service, it is not designed as a storage service for photos.  Always sync photos to a computer for archiving.

  • HT201317 i lost my photo stream, can i get it back ?

can i get back my lost photo stream or album , i did not make back up ever ?

You can re-enable photo stream on your device but you will only get photos that were added during the last 30 days.  Photos older than 30 days have already been deleted from your photo stream.
If the photos were in your camera roll when you back up your device, you could recover them by restoring the backup to your device.

  • HT201317 Why are my photo streams showing on my iPad but not my camera roll photos from my iPhone?

JUst bought iPad. Photos not loading from iPhone. iCloud is on on all settings.

No solution to offer, but I can say that you are not alone. I am having the same exact problem.
I installed "Photos" around April 8. "My Photo Stream" shows up in the sidebar containing pictures up through April 6 - nothing later. Photos taken with my iPhone since then do not show up.
My iPhone and iPad both have Photostream on and working. Photos taken with either show up almost immediately on both devices. It is only "Photos" on the desktop machine which is broken. Like you, I have tried turning Photostream on/off, restarted both desktop machine and phone. Nothing.  "Photos" photo stream is stuck in time at April 6.

  • HT201317 can not activate photo stream on my Mac

I have iPhoto 11 v 9.1.5 and OsX Lion 10.8.3 but can not activate Photo Stream on my Mac because it is not activated. The place to check activation is faded.
    Help?

You need iPhoto 9.2.2 or later for Photo Stream and 9.4 or later for Shared Photo Streams:
The following is from iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
What do I need to use Photo Stream
To use Photo Stream, including Shared Photo Streams, you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later
PC with Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.1 or later
You can still use Photo Stream without Shared Photo Streams if your devices meet these requirements:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
PC with Windows 7 or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel v2.0 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.0 or later

  • HT201317 iPhone 5 and Photo Stream - some photos don't sync

I used my iPhone 5 as my camera on my recent trip to Wales. Most of the photos synced with Photo Stream - for example walking to the castle and leaving the castle are synced and now on Photo Stream, but inside the castle will not sync. Tried turning iPhone off and on, it is charged 100%, good WiFi connection. Same thing happened every day - some photos (the ones I want to have on the iPad) seem to be stuck on the iPhone camera roll. I also turned My Photo Stream off and on again, and when it rebuilt itself, the same photos did not appear in Photo Stream. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Try taking a new photo on your phone and see if it appears in photo stream on your iPad.  If it does, photo stream is working on your phone.  If you still have some photos in your camera roll that will not upload to your photo stream you may have to create a shared photo stream containing the missing photos and invite yourself to it. This should appear on your iPad.  This article explains how to create a shared photo stream: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99.

  • HT201317 Camera roll into photo stream

Photo stream now seems to be working ok from iPhone to iPad mini  for new photos taken, however how do I get all my existing photos from my iPhone camera roll onto my iPad mini ??

Photo stream only adds photos taken after photo stream is enabled, so what you are experiencing is normal.  To add existing photos to your iPad Mini, you can either:
Import them to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then put them in a folder and sync them to your Mini by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing it; or
Us an app like PhotoSync that can wirelessly transfer them between your devices.
