Why do I see different quantity of photos from different devices when I go to my photo stream?
From my iPhone i see ~618, while from my ipad I see less than that (~570)

That's because photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days. After that, they are deleted from your photo stream but will remain on your device until deleted. When you connect a new device to your photo stream, it will only receive the photos from the last 30 days, as the others are no longer there. Thus, connecting different devices to your photo stream at different times results in a different number of photo stream photos on the device. In your example, your iPad was probably connected to your photo stream after your iPhone.

Hi there. I'm having the same problem: my iPad won't import some photos from a folder, saying that they can't be read. They are all JPEGS and some photos taken at the same time have synched fine, but out of a folder with 200 photos, it only lets me synch 37. I'm synching albums created via Photoshop Elements 6, which has worked fine until now.
I've tried deleting all photos and re-synching, and have also deleted the iPod Photo Cache, but it hasn't made a difference.
The iPad auto-updated to the latest version of iTunes, so maybe that's what's causing it?
Any advice gratefully received!

Content of photostream not the same on all devices?

I have a iMac, iPad and an iPhone. All photos are added to iCloud with Photostream, but the content of the photostream on iCloud is not the same on all devices. I thought that the content would be synchronised. 487 photos on iPad, 529 Photos on iPhone and 596 Photos on iMac. Just now I have all devices turned on, connected to the same wifi, but no synchronising is taking place. How is this soposed to work?

This usually happens because, while you can keep 1000 photo stream photos on your devices regardless of age, they only remain in iCloud for 30 days. Photo stream photos older than 30 days are removed from the iCloud server so depending on when you enabled my photo stream, you devices would have a different number of photos. You can always add any missing photos to a shared stream on the device that has them in order to stream them to your other devices.

My iPhone serial number and IMEI is not the same as Apple server

My problem started when I want to unlock my iphone 3gs via Imei.
My old iphone broke about a month after i bought it (it was 2 years ago), so i sent it to Movistar to change it (i think that they sent it to appleCare). Now Movistar told me that i have to send the old iphone imei in order to unlock the iphone i have now, i ask apple for the repair order receipt, then i received an email and i could see the information about the 2 iphones: the old broken one and the new one.
Then I realized that the iphone they sent me as a replacement (the new one) is not the same iphone i have. The serial number and the Imei are different, so, should apple change this data in their server in order to unlock my iphone or what can i do to solve it?
There is any formal way to perform this data change?

Here we work with repairs for devices that does not have waranty (expired or other issue). In this case, I did the screen replacement. No other ipad was on my station, the ipad arrives, i took it change the glass, put everithing back, give to customer. Thats it. The job was done by me, the customer test his ipad in front on me, works fine, everything ok. Few days pass and he came back saying that it wasn't his ipad, he brings the box that the ipad came and ask me why the serial number does not match the serial number in the box (sorry NOT in the back of the ipad).
There were no other part changed only glass. After 7 years working on this, thats the first customer complaining about a work done here. After this I was curious and look for more information and some forums, also one port here is claiming that the serial number on the device is not the same as the box where it came.
I just want to make sure that there are possibilities that there could be such mistake during the packaging process.

I took an ipad mini for screen replacement, everything was succesful. The customer calls me back claiming that the ipad wasn't his ipad. He went to store and claims that the serial number that shows on info of the ipad does not match the serial in the outer frame (the one in the back). I didn't check that on my procedure due to that I didn't turn on the ipad and in the recieving yes i wrote the serial number that is in the back. I check on several forums and some people where asking the same issue but in case of a purchase in a store or online, that their serials didn't match. I would like to know if someone have found this issue on any product, ipad, iphone, ipod or whatever other, having this issue with serials.

Ask for security question but they send the email to my other second account ! Not the same email which i logon it

I had a weird problem i have two id apple account one of them i forget the security question i try to ask for reset but when i login to first email and ask for reset they send the email to other email which is in other account !! I need it to send to the same email which i login through it i do not know how they know the other email is my second email
Now i can not reset my security question because they send it to other email which has been hacked !!

Messenger and Contacts not the same over different devices

I upgraded to iOS8 on my 5S and iPad 4th gen.
Then I updated my MBP to Yosemite Beta - just in case I need to utilize iCoud Drive. I'm not using it.
On my phone, I noticed that my contacts got jacked up. First noticed it in my Favorites, where names used to be, there's numbers. I notice much of the same thing when I open Messenger on the phone. On my computers and iPad, Messenger has all the contact info the same - the way it used to be.
I've been around since the @mac.com days, so I have that id. As well as a @me.com from that transition. And of course, the @icloud.com id. I did notice, that one of the device (don't remember which one) was using the iCloud id while the rest wear using the me.com id. Figured that it wouldn't matter, since they're all Apple id's that have merged all my data over the years.

What do you mean by "synched on the iPad and iPhone"? Are you using iCloud?

JPG Photos are not the same quality as on my camera

Hi, I'm shooting with a D300s and a D90 and using approved memory cards. I hav been shooting with these cameras for about 2-3 years and since July I have noticed that the quality of the image on the camera is not necessarily the quality of the image that I upload. I am a professional photographer and am teetering on replacing all my equipment to target the problem. I have called Apple and Nikon and have not been able to trouble shoot the issue.
I have tested the image import on several different devices and the results are mixed.
Cameras: jpeg, custom color settings, pretty picutre
Imac (early 2009) : dark, grainy, unusable picture
Macbook Pro 2013: dark, grainy, unusable picture
ipad 4: viewing image via dropbox: moderately useable picture
I have opened it Photoshop Cs5 and Cs3 and the image quality is the same

I visited the camera store and we discovered that my camera lcd was set to the maximum brightness level which completely distorted any understanding of my exposure. What I now see on the lcd in terms of ligt and shadow is very similar to what I see on my computer screen.
Maybe you can shed light on this:
I also may need to just upgrade my imac. On the camera store's late model imac my images were tac sharp but on my imac they look quite soft and still have less light.
There is also still some difference in terms of color settings. My camera's colors have a brighter pinkish tone and on the camera store's imac and mine the tone is yellowish orange.
I will try DPReview and Nikoncafe. My first step is to reset my cameras to factory defaults and then upload and compare.

HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated.

My camera roll and photo stream on my iphone 4 and ipad 2 are not the same. I have the same apple id for both and both devices are running ios 7.0.4.

The camera roll contains photos actually taken on your device, or saved from text messages, emails, websites, etc. Because of this you shouldn't expect both devices to have the same photos in the camera roll.
The my photo stream album is also usually differerent on your devices. This happens because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days (even though they stay on your devices longer). When you enable photo stream on a device, it can only receive photo stream photos still in iCloud, which are those from the last 30 days. A consequence of this is that unless you enabled photo stream on both devices within 30 days of each other, one is likely to end up with fewer photo stream photos than the other.

Not much you can do. You overwrote your current data with older data when you restored the phone from that backup. Your data's gone.

I cannot transfer music to my iPhone4. I just got it and was shown how to do it on iTunes. I managed to transfer photos, but not the music. I tried auto sync and also manyal. Nothing worked - still no music on my iPhone :-(

Hi, I'm doing a poor man's morph project on my motion 4 . It works perfect while on motion , but when I try to import it to tcp it will transfer the photos but not the optical flow fx. what am I doing wrong?

Decided to use cmd A to select all the icons on the desktop and then looked for a right click option. There it was - the option to move to a folder. I now have them all in this folder which tells me it holds 157 items. Now you know why I needed to know LOL

Photos repeatedly importing the same photos.

Photos is reimporting the same photos every time I connect my iPhone or iPad.
I'm running the most recent OS and iOS (iPhone 6, iPad 2) and most recent version of Photos. Every time I connect my phone or ipad "import new photos" re-imports the same set of photos, as well as any new photos.
Previous there was the "keep the photo app open on your phone when you connect" fix - as far as I can tell that is not still the case?
Any ideas what might be causing this?

It sounds like you Photos app seems to think the same photos it has already imported need to be reimported over and over again along with photos that actually are new on the device whenever you connect it. I would start by quitting all the running apps on the iPhone:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device, and your computer as well then test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
