HT201317 Photo Stream storage almost maxed out.

I have an iPhone 4s. Question/ issue re: Photo Stream storage. Settings> General> Usage> Photos & Camera > Photo Stream-- shows I'm using 11.8 GB of memory, despite manually deleting (as suggested in the forum) and also turning off my Photo Stream. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have any shared streams, particulary those containing videos, that you need to delete?

  • My 8th core is almost maxed out while idle

    Hello folks,
I'm glad Logic is now 64bit; no more "out of memory" errors. Yippee! However, now the eighth core of my "octo-core" Mac Pro, is almost maxed out when idle. This also seems to be the core that is taxed the most during playback. After looking at the Activity Monitor, it looks like the 32-bit Bridge might be the culprit. Does anyone know if the 32-bit Bridge is supposed to spread the load evenly across the cores (multi threading)? Is there something that I can "tweak" to fix this? Is anyone else having the same issue? Thanks!

Depending on the year of the MBP, the hard drive may not be considered a user replaceable item...but you can check the available 1 TB drives at good sources such as OWC, http://www.macsales.com they are great to deal with and have on-line videos showing how to do most installation tasks.

  • HT201317 photo stream and options buttons greyed out, windows 7

This has not happened before. I have a Windows 7, 64 bit laptop, and the photo stream button and it's associated options button cannot be selected.
I have uninstalled & re-installed iCloud about 3 times now, ran Malwarebytes, emptied out all photo streams on iPad & iPhone. What should I try next?

The way it worked for me was I went to control panel and uninstalled icloud and itunes, restarted pc and went to the apple site and downloaded icloud and itunes.

  • HT201317 Photo Stream is no longer pushing photos from my iPhone 4s to my PC.

Everything was working fine until my phone ran out of storage space. I then deleted all the photos in my Photo Stream folder on my PC and turned off Photo Stream to delete photos on my phone. Now it no longer pushes photos to my PC. Any thoughts on what's wrong and how to fix it?
    Thanks

    Hello nmamommy,
I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your iPhone. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear what is happening when you try to do the transfer. If you continue to have issues transferring photos from your iPhone to your Windows computer, you may want to verify your set up as outlined in the following article:

  • HT201317 photo stream is not downloading to my PC

I have set up Photo Stream on my PC, iPad2 and iPod as per instructions, but hen taking pictures on either the iPad or iPod, they do not get pushed to the folders specified in the PC.  Same goes if I drag a picture in the Photo Stream folder on the PC, it does not get transfered to the iPad or iPod.  Not sure why, it was working a month ago but now nothing...

Sign out of the iCloud control panel and then back in on your computer.
If this doesn't work, uninstall and then reinstall iCloud.

  • TS4175 Allowed all these files and even switched security software off but photo stream is still greyed out on the icloud control panel on my windows 7 pc. Any other ideas?

    See above

Hi all.  I can’t tell you how to solve your iCloud 3.x issues.  Heck, I don’t think they’re even solvable.
But if you had a previous version of iCloud that was working correctly then I can definitely tell you how to solve the “iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 7 PC” problem.  …without even a re-boot.
Log out of iCloud 3.0 and uninstall it.
Open My Computer and then open your C:\ drive.  Go to Tools/Folder Options and click on the View tab.  Select the “Show hidden…” radio button and click on OK.
    Open the Users folder.
    Open your user folder
    Open ProgramData (previously hidden folder)
Open the Apple folder – not the Apple Computer folder.
    Open the Installer Cache folder
In Details view sort on Name
Open the folder for the newest entry for iCloud Control Panel 2.x – probably 2.1.2.8 dated 4/25/2013
Right click on iCloud64.msi and select Install.
When finished, the synching between iCloud and your PC will be back to working perfectly as before the 3.0 fiasco.  The pictures will be synched to the same Photostream folder as before the “upgrade”.  Now all you need to do is wait until Apple/Microsoft get this thing fixed and working before you try the 3.x upgrade again.
I think the iCloud 3.0 software was written by the same folks who wrote healthcare.gov with the main difference being that healthcare.gov might eventually be made to work.
For those of you who hate to go backwards, think of it as attacking to the rear.  Which would you rather have, the frustration of no synching or everything working on an older version?
    Good luck…

  • ICloud and photo stream storage levels

I have 50 gb of photos in my photo stream why can't I upload it to iCloud, I thought photo stream doesn't count against storage limit?

Sorry, I accidently clicked the "This solved my question" thing and I couldn't see how to remove it.
You cannot remove the "Solved" mark, sorry.
Post your question again, with a slightly different title and mention everything you already have done to solve the problem.
When you select the Photo Sream in the "Web" section, what do you see? I see a message "YOu are signed in as [email protected] Don't you see this message? You said, that you are signed into iCloud.

  • My photo stream options are greyed out

and i cant select them to edit options im on a new laptop had icloud eworking on last laptop de-authoried it before switching to this one how do i get photo stream working again?
iphone 4s and windows vista laptop

You didn't do anything wrong.  It appears that either your phone or your Mac are not connecting to your photo stream properly.  Otherwise when you deleted the photo stream photos from your phone they would have been deleted from your Mac.
Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing sufficient time for them to download to your devices.  After 30 days they are removed.  Turn photo stream back on on your phone.  You should only get back photo stream photos from the last 30 days, not all 900.  If you get more than you want, you can delete them.  If you get less, you can add them back using iPhoto (discussed below).
Then take a new photo on your phone while connected to wifi, close the camera app, open the My Photo Stream album on your phone and confirm that the photo appears after a few seconds.  Assuming it does, open iPhoto on your Mac and see if the new photo appears in the My Photo Steam album on your Mac.  (If you are already viewing the album on your Mac, you may need to click you events, then re-open your My Photo Stream album for new new photo to appear.)  Assuming it does, delete the new photo from your My Photo Stream album on your phone and see if it deletes from your Mac after a few seconds.  If it does, then things are working properly now and you'll just have to manually delete any photos on your Mac that you don't want.  If things aren't working, reply back with your results and we'll take it from there.
Any missing photo stream photos that you still want on your phone can be added back to your photo stream from iPhoto, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/mac/9.5/#pht7aaade98.

  • HT201317 Photo Stream not showing photos: windows pc vista

I have Windows PC with Vista: when I open 'photo stream' I have 9 'boxes' each one has photos in them. However only 5 show pictures and I can click on those boxes and see the pictures contained therein, the other 4 just show 'clouds', even when I try to open them. How do I get those pictures to show up?

  • HT201317 Photo stream not sending photos to pc

I am having issues with photo stream not operating. Apple support helped me correct this once, but it has happened again. I use PCtools internet security. Does anyone have ths issue or a solution? Photos are in my photo stream in the iphone, but do not get pushed to my pc.

I have the same problem. Iphone and Ipad both can sync photos between them.
But not icloud 2.0 application on my windows 7 pc.
Whenever I open icloud app, it have photo stream option unchecked.
I check it back, nothing happens. It is unchecked again upon next start or application opening.
I already tried rebooting pc and logout/login from icloud application.
Clicking Parameters in photo stream does not open anything.

  • HT201317 photo stream not updating

Photos added to iPhone 4 Photo Stream folder do not update in PC folder.  iCloud is enabled on phone and Windows 7, phone is Wi-Fi connected.

You may have enabled iCloud on your devices, but did you also turn on photo stream?  Check in Settings>iCloud on the iPhone.  Check the PC as well, but I don't know where that's done, as I use a Mac.

  • HT201317 Photo stream doesn't work wen I take photo,photos doesn't appear in photo stream ?

Photo stream doesn't work , wen I take photo, photos doesn't appear in photo stream

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
        1.    Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
        2.    Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
        3.    Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • HT201317 photo stream is not working, won't go to PC

I have 980 pics on my iPhone in the photo stream, not once has it ever sent photos to my PC folder and I've set up iCloud a LONG time ago. I want these pics because my PC crashed, so how do I get them back to PC if it won't upload them?

Had the same problem. I uninstalled icloud, restarted my pc and reinstalled icloud and it's working fine. Hope this helps.
