HT201317 Photo stream tripling my photos
I set up a photo stream to be made public and it worked properly at first. Now it's showing three sets of the same photos and I can not change it without deleting all my photos from all devices. Is there a way around this?
That's because photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days. After that, they are deleted from your photo stream but will remain on your device until deleted. When you connect a new device to your photo stream, it will only receive the photos from the last 30 days, as the others are no longer there. Thus, connecting different devices to your photo stream at different times results in a different number of photo stream photos on the device. In your example, your iPad was probably connected to your photo stream after your iPhone.

I have iCloud set up fine on Windows 8 and it pulls shared photo streaming great, The problem is that in My Photo Stream folder the photos doesn't charge automatically and is empty, how can I do?

I utilize WIFI sync to sync all my information....however the photos don't sync wirelessly...is that because I have version iPhoto '09 8.1.2 ? if I upgraded can I wirelessly sync over wifi or can you only use Photo Stream to synch photos and you can't do it over wifi sync?

Does photo stream distribute also photos saved on iOS device?
I have several photos taken by another iPhone and sent to my iPhone via email or whatsapp. I see them on my iPhone but not on my iPAD.
That is because saved photos go to the Camera Roll, not to PhotoStream. Only photos taken with your device go to PhotoStream.
You can create a Shared PhotoStream album if you want to share photos not taken with the device:
To create a Shared Photo Stream, launch the Photos app on your iOS device, and select the Photo Stream option at the bottom of the screen. In the upper-left corner is a + sign; tap on it. Enter the iCloud e-mail address of the person (or people) you'd like to share your album with. Enter a name for the album.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud. -
If I reset photo stream will the photos in my camera roll be deleted as well or will they stay in the camera roll and just be removed from the photo stream?

When you reset photo stream from the iCloud.com website, the photos will remain on your various devices, unless you also disable photo stream synchronisation and then turn it back on again. -
This is very confusing. Can someone explain the difference between these 3 options in Photos app.

Your iPhoto Library is located in your /Home/Pictures/ folder and contains all the photos you have put into iPhoto. iCloud Photo Library is the library of photos you have stored in iCloud. -
On my Ipad 2, I deleted my photos from camera roll, photo stream and imported photos.
I did not know that my photos were also being deleted from my albums.
Is there anyway I can retrieve these photos from back up or from Icloud ? PierreIf you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup you can restore to that.

is that correct? I spent an hour looking for it and thought maybe it was a glitch in the new app or ios.
However, I'm not sure what the itunes photos add, if one is using photostream.
The iTunes photos tab lets you download any photos that were on the iPhone before Photo Stream was introduced or do a total download of your iPhone's photos if you haven't done so previously. It's also for us "control freaks".

I am having issues with photo stream not operating. Apple support helped me correct this once, but it has happened again. I use PCtools internet security. Does anyone have ths issue or a solution? Photos are in my photo stream in the iphone, but do not get pushed to my pc.
I have the same problem. Iphone and Ipad both can sync photos between them.
But not icloud 2.0 application on my windows 7 pc.
Whenever I open icloud app, it have photo stream option unchecked.
I check it back, nothing happens. It is unchecked again upon next start or application opening.
I already tried rebooting pc and logout/login from icloud application.
Clicking Parameters in photo stream does not open anything. -

I tried disabling my firewall; did not work. Had the same issue before 90 day support ended and now,
here we go again. Also, on my iCloud account Photo Stream "Options" bar won't open!You may have enabled iCloud on your devices, but did you also turn on photo stream? Check in Settings>iCloud on the iPhone. Check the PC as well, but I don't know where that's done, as I use a Mac.

Save the photo stream photos to your camera roll if they aren't already there by tapping Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. Camera roll photos are not deleted by turning off photo stream.
