HT201318 cannot delete icloud backup

So I wanted to get rid of the ridiculous size of the a 5GB backup on my iPhone because I didn't want to take 5 hours to restore my new iPhone.  No matter where I go into it from, I cannot delete the photos or even the entire backup because it says it is in use.
Anyone have any idea on how to delete this mess from iCloud and start over with a fresh backup?  Or at least get rid of the 4.8GB of photos and videos that have already been offloaded to my MBP?

I knew if I waited this would not be an issue, however, the point was to backup to a new profile so that I could move to my iPhone 5 instead of having to wait for it to download 5GB of photos, when I had deleted them from the old phone and then backed up again, but it wasn't respecting the deletion of data, even after 3 backups.

I am unable to delete the last backup from icloud, i checked my all device setting but it still say "cannot delete icloud this time because it is in use,"Please tell me what should i do

    It still didn't work...
Within this commonfiles\apple folder, there is only one folder, labeled "Internet Services." Within this folder, there are 6 folders, labeled:
    APLZOD.resources
    BookmarkDAV_client.resources
    CoreDAV.resources
    iCloud.resources
    iCloudServices.resources
    ShellStreams.resources
Within all but CoreDAV and BookmarkDAV_client, there are multiple different folders, all labeled starting with a two letter (acronym I believe, for different languages) then .lproj (for example, a folder is labeled "ar.lproj".
In each of the folders of APLZOD.resources, there is a file labeled "APLZODlocalized.dll."
In all of the folders containing the multiple .lproj folders, there are likewise "name"localized.dll files contained.
In the BookmarkDAV_client and Core DAV folders, they each contain only one file, "Info.plist"
I attempted to delete all of these files, and still, the FileAssassin could not delete them. I unlocked one of them for instance, and I tried to delete the file myself (thru windows explorer and just clicking delete), and I still had the same issue of coming eventually to the window requesting me to "try again" to have permission.
What can I do?? I'd like to avoid Unlocker, but if it really is a reliable and SAFE program, and someone knows a SAFE place to download it from, I'd appreciate it very much so!!
    thanks!!

Follow the steps in wjosten's post here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/13356770#13356770 (for Windows, substitute Outlook in step 2).

  • " Cannot Delete iCloud Account - There was a problem deregistering this iPhone with iCloud. Try deleting your account again"! i can't sign out my icloud account

I want to sign out my icloud account but I can't. When I try sign out, I received notification " Cannot Delete iCloud Account - There was a problem deregistering this iPhone with iCloud. Try deleting your account again"

Backup to computer first and sync Apps to iTunes first!
Restore in recovery mode will work, be persistent and retry
    Recovery restore challenges
    - computer didn't detect recovery iphone, attempted and failed 3 times
rebooted computer then recovery restore worked
    - recovery restore was successful, unlocked, and iMessage/Facetime, Find My Iphone, ALL WORKS!
    Restore from backup challenges
    * Make sure you have plenty of harddrive space!
    - have to restore first then restore from backup, i did this incorrectly by restoring from backup and the find my iphone feature got stuck forcing me to recovery restore
    - each restore from backup attempt will copy the original backup and create another backup folder. My original was about 10gb, so it copied another 10gb onto my computer's harddrive
    - when i restore from backup, my computer ran out of space and errored out/failed.
    - I tried again to restore from backup then figured out where the backup data folder was and tried to transfer to external harddrive but not quick enough and failed again.
    - finally cleared the extra backup data files and restore from backup was successfull
Missing apps from restore from backup
    - Downloaded all my missing Apps from APP store
    - I have 300+ apps and there are only 15 screen scrolls, have to organize before apps will populate and load, very difficult to organize now. Wished I had sync Apps first.
    Conclusion
This process took me literally 20+ hours to correct and will probably take me few more hours to organize the apps into their respective folders...
At least I got everything to work. Hope this helps!

  • Recovering lost photos from delete icloud backup

Hi is there a way to recover the photos from a deleted icloud backup? I know once on the Internet it is there forever.

Unfortunantly there are no other backups...
I am hesitant to connect the new phone up as I find that whole line of questioning that iTunes does confusing.
I am never sure what it will do to 'sync' the old data with the new phone....
I think I'll just try the free utilities....

Cannot get iCloud backup off my screen

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.

  • Restore accidently deleted iCloud backup data

I accidently deleted one of three iCloud backup data and how can I get it restored?

I'm afraid that iCloud backups are not backed up.  If you delete a backup it cannot be restored.

  • Deleted iCloud Backup - Can I restore?

    Hi,
Today I accidentally deleted the iCloud backup, is there any way to recover it?
I need some pictures of that up, because I had my iphone stolen.
    Sorry for poor english.
    Thanks,
    Kido

I am afraid not, once you deleted your backup on iCloud you cannot get it back again. (If you also used Photo Stream, then maybe you can get some of your pictures back. Therefore set up your iPhone enable Photo Stream (during initial set up or in "Settings > iCloud") and see if some of your photos return into the Photo Stream folder in "Photos".

  • How to restore a deleted iCloud backup? I deleted the backup to free up the 5 GB free storage and now on my iPhone some of my Contacts are missing a phone

How to restore a deleted iCloud storage backup?
I deleted it all to free up the free 5 GB storage and now on my iPhone 5s some of my Contacts are missing a phone # info and some of the Contacts are missing entirely. Thank you.

I used this to restore my deleted notes from Time Machine, hope this helps others
    closed Notes,
    turned WiFi off,
entered finder/go+option/ to 'get to library':  /Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/
entered TM and selected the 3 files/ hit restore/ keep both (just to make sure, then I deleted the newer file, not the 'restored' file when this worked out)
opened notes and my deleted notes were back so I copied my notes into pages as a backup,
turned on WiFi and the notes disappeared!
replaced my restored notes by copy/pasting my backups into notes/iCloud....
notes/mac would not show across iCloud.... don't remeber this being an issue prior to Mavericks when 'all' notes were selected?
Apple needs to hear from us so they can fix glitches like this.  TM was created for instances like this, hopefully this is just an oversite.  Pass this along to Apple Feedback/iCloud/bug.  If enough of us flag such issues, hopfully it's addressed on the next update.
Dear Apple, this should be much easier than it is. We should be able to open Notes, go into Time Machine, and restore anything regardless if it's on my Mac or on the cloud.

  • Deleted icloud backup and need it back

Today I had to get my software reset or restored by Apple because it was telling me my battery was much lower than it actually was. I was in a rush and could restore my previous backup (from a week ago) in the store and decided to do it at my hotel later. Long story short, I accidentally backed up my phone with nothing on it, trying to undo this i erased the phone. Then when going to set up the phone again looked to see NO BACKUPS even though i am 100% positive I had one from a week ago because the man who helped me in the Apple store told me and I checked. Please help me find this backup! The other option would be to back up my phone from 2013 which is not helpful at all. Thanks.

If you really accidentally deleted good backup, try not to do that anymore. There is no way to help you, sorry. You should be able to see all your backups to icloud when you go to settings, icloud, storage and manage storage.

  • How do you delete icloud backup in wondows?I have 400 icloud messages in my email--all iclouds problems.

How do I delete these 400 iclouds messages I get every day, in  my email  Is this the iclouds backup?  You apple people are making it very hard for a novice like me.  Please help me get rid of all this mess of icloud's messages and explain step by step as I don't understand about this back up business.
    Bfromaz

    There are no iCloud messages.
Are you referring to email, iMessages, or something else?

We are users like yourself, not "apple people".  Frankly if it is difficult for someone to clearly communicate the issue there are having it is virtually impossible for any of us to offer relevant assistance.

  • Cannot delete iCloud calender

I am having difficulty in editing calenders in my iCloud account (via iCloud.com). I have been trying to tidy up my calenders by deleting one or two. Every time I attempt to delete a calender in iCloud I get a message saying "Cannot delete Calender, Server Error Try again later"
I have also tried to delete calenders from my mobile devices with no luck.
    Can anyone help?

You won't be able to delete it without the ID and password.  If your friend doesn't remember them he/she can try to find it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625.  Then he/she can reset the password as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617.
