I upgraded my iCloud storage and don't think I needed to. Can't work our how to canel it. I purchased it in Canada whici is where my account is registered. Help!

You can cancel an iCloud storage upgrade but only within 15 days of buying:
Apple seem to have made this as difficult as possible. You may be able to do this using http://expresslane.apple.com - Click on 'More products and services', then 'iCloud', 'Account and setup' then 'This topic is not listed'. Explain the situation in the box provided and wait for a response - include a phone number. However you may find you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare.
In that event you will need to phone them directly, using the Apple Online Store number given at the bottom of this page. The first person you speak to may tell you to do it from the iCloud website but this is not possible. Politely insist on escalating the issue to a more senior person and eventually you should be able to get through to someone who can deal with this (you may have to wait for them to call you back) - you will be asked security questions and for part of your credit card number to identify yourself.
If it is more than 15 days since you purchased the storage you cannot cancel it for a refund; you can downgrade your plan as from your next renewal date. Please see

    I enthusiastically upgarded my storage to 100GB the other day, thinking that iCloud would suit my needs.  However, I am on Google Apps for my business and it seems that iCloud will not sync, and I am not willing to switch to all iCloud at this time.

    I wish I could help but I am in the same boat.  I spent $100 and not able to use it.  I followed up on everything I could find on line but did not get my money back yet.  Have decided to follow up for the sake of the general public and to get Steve Jobs good name back for the company I loved so much under his leadership.  Next up, is that I go to the the Genius Bar and request the right help.  Good luck to all of us.

    I agree and am baffled by this also.  At first I was really excite about this new feature.  Mostly because I would be able to seamlessly sync videos along with my PhotoStream.  I just assumed there would be some systematic way to handle large libraries.  Like removing older files as the current PhotoStream does.  However, it appears that this new feature will simply 'shut down' when you reach your storage limit.  This just makes no sense to me.  I would have to double check, but I have all my photos and videos in iPhoto and stored on a 3 TB external hard drive and I think the full library is over 1 TB.  So, even if I was willing to pay $20 a month for photo syncing (which I am not) I couldn't do it because my library is too large.  Again I am just baffled why Apple cannot blend this new service with the existing PhotoSteam model.  My favorite aspect of PhotoSteam is that is uploads all my iPad and iPhone Photos to my Mac for permanent storage and it seems this is lost in the new version.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple,  Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
    Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
    If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

    The whole business of cloud storage is unclear to me. They say that you have 5G of memory free upgrade to 15 for twenty-five dollars and that this is unrelated to music and video memory. I get this, but I have purchased iCloud Match for $25 but I've quickly maxed out the 25,000 song limit. How can I increase this limit. It is at this point I am unclear about the $25 for 15G additional storage... can this be used to increase iTunes/iCloudmusic storage to increase the music Storage? One would think that apple would make these distinctions clearer. Can anyone carify? Thanks!

    iTunes Match does not use your iCloud account.  Your annual Match subscribtion pays for separate storage to host your iTunes library.  As far as I know, you can't increase the 25,000 song limit.
    If you recently purchased the storage upgrade for this purpose, in the U.S. you could call 1-800-MYAPPLE for a refund if you don't need it.

    When I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and it turned into a "brick" I was forced to use iCloud to backup and restore and it kept complaining that I had 5.9 gb which is over the 5.0Gb free storage provided, so I purchased an upgrade - in a dazed and confused state as my iPhone was a "brick" I must have done this twice to recover my iPhone.

    I had thought that iCloud would store all my photos - I did not realise that the maximum is 1000, regardless of memory.

    Photo stream doesn't use space in your personal account so purchasing additional storage wouldn't be necessary even if you could exceed 1000 photos.  But to answer your question, contact the Apple online store for your country to request a refund (1-800-MY-APPLE in the U.S. and Canada).
