Have you tried syncing the iPhone to your computer and restoring from the backup to see if you can get your other songs back? If you purchased the new album with your Apple ID, you should be able to download it to your computer to sync.

we transferred purchases and synced from a iPod touch to a toshiba laptop, after it updated and synced again we have been unable to put the files back onto the ipod. the computer will not let us drag or copy paste files, and when we tried to " export" the library to the documents folder, it only showed up in code. we have books and music we would like to reload to the ipod.

It sounds like you are unable to manually put your content back on your iPod Touch.
It seems like you may need to re enable Manually Manage Music now that the device has been updated, and this article should help with that.

You changed the Apple id on your itunes. Apple will only allow this to be changed once every 90 days. If it is kept the same there is no restriction

Try a Reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

My mini had defective HD replaced and came back with no sound what happen

I took my mini to the genius bar at bra mall. they kept my mini overnite and the HD failed. I was called 3 days later for pick up. my mini has a new $352.00 HD. I got home and hooked up mini and now I don't have any sound not even the start up chime and system pref. says no input devices found.
please tell me i don't have to make another appt.!

White empty browserwindow opens after coming back to the App -whats wrong?

Hello, i got the following Problem.
A v24 custom viewer App with Entitlement+iTunes Subscription. Already in App Store and approved.
Now the problem: If i switch to another application and the App reloads again ( and updates Library) an empty white browserwindow opens with no content.
No matter how long you wait,there's nothing in there.
We don't know anything about that problem and hours of googling did not help at all. Does anyone know the reason for this strange behaviour
Strange is:
First time you load the app or no matter how often you close an issue and reopen it - as long if you don't leave it, the Library-Update works perfectly. ...Untill you switch the application and open the app again.
Even more strange is: it has no effect for the purchase at all, i can click done, and i can act like the browser window did not even show up.

it does not appear anymore. Luckily.... We were talking to the Adobe Gold Support, and they figured it out. That error was produced by a tracking pixel of google analytics inside the entitlement banner - that forced opening that link in a ( of course empty) browserwindow instead of just running in the background. Now we know the problem and glad that it's fixed. But thanks for asking. Wish you a nice week, Bob

Is Your ATV2 Back In Action? What Happened?!

Well, mine was down for more than 24 hours, suffering from the same issues so many others on here were experiencing (no Home Sharing, no Internet, did not recognize Apple ID, etc.). However, at about 10pm tonight I was watching my Blu Ray player and I see the ATV light turning on and off a few times. I wasn't doing anything with the network but it appeared to be switching on by itself. Then, when I checked it out I just had to reconnect to my Wi-Fi network and everything was 100%!
Whatever happened was obviously on Apple's end, but the fact that they didn't issue any type of statement during that time period is NOT a good indicator of what we may be facing in the post-Steve Jobs world. A horrible stumble on Apple's part.

Though if I type "Utility" in the search box at the type of Launchpad, all the Utilities show up.
