You cannot delete an iCloud account from the server, but you can remove it from your phone by going to Settings>iCloud and clicking 'Delete Account' (this does not remove the account from the server).
You should then go to http://icloud.com and delete any data there you want to, and then just ignore it.

@mac.com are no longer available, this is ture. you would had to set this up prior to MobileMe going live. an existing @mac address is still valid today.

Need help setting up a new email account for my wife.

I've been trying to set up a separate email account for my wife with no success. I've gone to Preferences clicked the plus sign, it then asks for full name (my wifes'?) email address (would that be the one I pick for her or my email address?) and password- I'm assuming that's the password I use to get my email. It tells me it's checking connection to mail server and then says login to "POP failed".

New email accounts should be created and set up first with your email service provider--contact them for information about how to do that. Just making up a new address and typing it into Mail's preferences doesn't create a new email account.
Edited to add: In addition, you probably want to establish a new user account for your wife on your Mac, so that you and she have separate folders and inboxes for your mail, once she has her own account set up. Separate user accounts also mean the two of you can have separate bookmarks on your browsers, separate document folders, and so on--almost as if you each had your own computer.

I just changed internet provider and I need help to set up my emails accounts

I have changed from Optus to TPG (internet) and I'm having problems setting up my wife email account; we always had 2 accounts , one each.when i create the slave account on tpg website doesn't transfer into Mail. Already have my account working fine. Please somebody have some ideas?

The instructions on Apple's website *****. It says that Microsoft Hotmail is an option when it isn't.
Follow the steps below to set up your Hotmail, Outlook, Live, or MSN email account on your iOS device.

Enter your email address in the email field.
Enter your password in the password field and tap Next.
Choose the account items you would like to sync, and then tap Save.
Microsoft Hotmail is NOT an option on my iPad air. So, does anyone else know how to set it up?

The instructions are just old. Try using the outlook.com option.

Any devices connected to the same icloud account can sync all the data on that account. For this reason an icloud account is really for a single user.
On a mac, if each user has their own account, then the itunes for that mac account should be set up to connect to that user's icloud account (System preferences>icloud).

Your computer is probably set up to access your Yahoo mail using POP3. POP3 does not synchronize with the server. For full synchronization, you will need to use IMAP instead. See the Yahoo mail help pages for instructions on how to configure your mail client.

My friend as actually just bought her 4S and is wondering how to setup her Virgin Email account. I have a googlemail so it's quite obvious for me as there's a selection for it in the menu. But when I go to other i'm unsure what to tell her to put in as it's asking me whether to setup as imap or Pop and I really have no idea as Google is self explanatorty.

I have and android phone and I want to use my mac email account. I cannot get the account to load

I am using an Droid Razr M phone and want to put my mac email account back on it. When doing the set up I constantly get a message that the there is not a connection to the Server. I have followed all the instructions on how to do it but it consistanly will not let me set the account back up. I am using the correct email address and password.

Thank you so much for the help. I had to enter my complete email address using me.com added to my sign in name and then after I got to the next page to enter the settings, I changed the address to not include the me.com information. From there everything went through just fine. This ended about a week of frustration trying with many folks at the Verizon Store to help me. I'm so grateful for your help.

I don't know if this has changed - this was a 2011 psot after all. But I've always had a 2nd .mac email address on my iphone. Probably for at least 2 years or more as far as I can remember. I set up 2 .mac email accounts a long time back before anyone had heard of the cloud. And it's always worked fine on my iPhone 4 and then the iPhone 5.
Came across this thread - while looking at another issue. Just installed Mavericks and while it will allow me to have my 2 .mac email accounts in the email program, for some reason it's refusing to save the password for the 2nd account.

Hi - I've tried Apple support, iphone support, and the submit a question/problem to the mac people with no luck. So, I'm taking my question to the next higher level -- you all.
So here is the issue. I have had a mac email account for years. I buy my cool new iPhone a few weeks ago, and add my main apple mac email account to the iphone. All is good, and I can send/receive email messages from my main account. Then I add = three other email accounts I have on mac for internet/web surfing, and all is good there too. So, now I can access my 4 apple mac accounts on my iphone.
Here is the problem -- a few days ago, my main apple mac account stopped working on my iphone. I can still send/receive email messages via web based mac mail, and I can access all my mail on my laptopn (just like usual). But, now, when I go to check my main mac account on my iphone it says unable to verify username or password.
So, I have tried 100 different times now, all to no avail. I deleted it, rebooted it, tried it as a mac account, an IMAP account, POP account, etc.
I have all the latest versions of itunes, iphone, etc.
So, can anyone help me (pleeeese)......
