Thanks for the advice. I finally tried a solution after doing nothing. LoL. What I did do was change the channel the router was on from 9 to 7. I think I've done something like this in the past when I had slow internet and that worked out well too. I thought that would help and so far so good. Not an interruption so far but we shall see. To the guy or girl who expressed that they had the same problem as me I would try changing the channel of your router like I did. I will monitor the situation and see if it totally solved my problem or not and keep this thread updated. Thanks people

Sorry but I don't use that so I'm not familiar with the settings.
But if you haven't setup and security the iPhone might not mind but I know most Windows computers do not like to connect to Open WiFi. and make sure it is WPA or WPA2.
Then again it may be a setting in the connection sharing like some type of MAC filtering or it may simply be that Mac OS X connection sharing only allows one connection at a time. Try disconnecting your phone and then connect the PC.
As to Linc's response about Windows.
Windows basically does care about connecting to open, unsecured, WiFi. But it will normally pop up a windows asking "Are myou sure you want to connect to this open network". And a simple click on yes will get you connected and an IP address.
So this is clearly a Mac OS X problem. -

I have deleted time machine preferences...restarted the modem a bunch of times, restored time capsule to it's original settings...after I first set it up in Airport Ulitity its shows a page quickly that states there is a internet problem, but the page quickly goes away before I can read what it says exaclty and states the internet connection problem is resolved...
However it's not resolved, I'm also having trouble doing a back up to my time capsule...I recently purchased a new macbook and retrieved/restore what was on the time capsule to the new computer...that worked fine...wireless worked fine...however when I tried to back up the new macbook...it would faii stating that there isn't enough room on the TC to do a back up...
I didn't end up keeping the new macbook, I was just using it/trying it out while my current macbook pro was being repaired (logic board)
Ever since I got my current macbook back from repair...my backups have failed due to their not being enough space to perform the back up...in the past the back ups would happen and old back ups would be replaced...

The internet was working fine wirelessly through the TC a day ago, but it wasn't allowing my other laptop that was connected via ethernet access to the internet...I had a self assigned IP address error then...I don't have that problem now, but it's not transmitting internet at all...even though it's in a solid green state.
I have no problem completely wiping out my TC including the previous back ups on it...just don't know how to go about it...I have restored it to factory settings a bunch of times and created the network from scratch...just hasn't fixed the issue
Is there more prefences files I should deleteIf the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues. -

It sounds like Voice Over is still on.
In any case, under System Preferences > Accessibility under Voice Over click Open Voiceover Utility... and then make sure under Verbosity > Announcements that "Automatically Speak Text in Dialog Boxes" is unchecked. -

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

The viewport on a computer is adjustable by the user. iWeb sets the viewport width to the page width that you chose in the layout menu. No matter what the end user does, the page width is static and a reasonable compromise for the width of a web page that will be viewed on these devices is 980 to 1024 px.
Safari on iOS devices cannot set the viewport. The viewport on mobile devices is fixed and its width depends on the orientation of the device. The iPhone in portrait mode has a viewport width of 320px. This means that the 980px wide iWeb built page will be squashed down to about one third of its desired size making it unreadable and difficult to navigate.
Setting the viewport meta tag so that width equals the device width is a futile gesture since Safari on iOS will do that anyway. Its only useful if you add some initial scaling like...
<meta name = "viewport" content="initial-scale=0.7">
In the case of a 980px wide website, the initial scale is about 0.3 so any value higher than this will magnify the initial view of the site.

i have been trying to install Windows XP Pro SP2 (original and I am sure of the version) with Leopard and Bootcamp 2.0.
Like several other users, i had the "error disc" problem when installing directly on the bootcamp partition (without formating) and "hal.dll" when deleting the partition (and making one with both 128Mo partition and my old Bootcamp partition) and formating after.
Like most of the users who had this problem, I can't choose to format the Bootcamp partition when i choose the partition (choosing a partition installs directly windows and i don't have the step where i can choosing the formating method...).
I tried with 3 different windows CDs and none of them allow me to use the Recovery Console (Pressing R) and to format.
I didn't delete Bootcamp's 200Mo partition, since I saw in several forums that sometimes it can have tremendous consequences.
How can I manage to install windows XP? Does Vista works better?
Thanks for your help!Actually pr100, the Bootcamp instructions say specifically that you HAVE to reformat the bootcamp-created partition before installing windows. Here's the excerpt from the instructions:
"*Formatting the Windows Partition*
Even though Boot Camp pre-formats the Windows partition, this partition can’t be
used to boot the computer. You must reformat the new Windows partition using the
Windows installer."
But yeah, after re-partitioning and unpartitioning (using Bootcamp) about 10 times I finally did a complete (not quick or 'convert to') NTFS reformat from the Windows installer and that did the trick.
All my other issues, from no-boot from anything (not CDs, not 'option,' not anything) were fixed by resetting firmware with an unplug-and-hold-down-power-button, plug-back-in-and-hold-power-button-until-you-hear-the-firmware-update/reset-bee p. That first bit was a heart-stopper with the machine not responding in ANY normal configuration I could discover until the afore-described bit of unplugged firmware resetting. Just always booted to the black screen of blinking DOS cursor scariness. Next it appeared to be installing Windows but finally gave me nothing but the hal.dll error at startup. Very depressing considering the sketchiness and contradictory nature of most of the posts here about fixing hal.dll errors. Mine included above. After about 10 tries at various Bootcamp/Windows setup options I finally decided to go NTFS and that's what fixed it for me in the end. Good luck all of you. Hope this further bit of insanity helps you. There was no way I was going to delete the 'extra' partition (200Mb) or the new 'free space' (128Mb) that Bootcamp also created in its partitioning process. As recommended elsewhere here. I'm really clueless about the whole boot process but I'm sure that Apple could make things better if they wanted to.
Good luck, I hope you all manage to fix your issues and get XP or whatever running. Crysis was the only reason for my efforts and it's really paid off. Will be buying the whole game tomorrow. -

If it's just the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store that you are having problems with, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
