You are not using a valid SIM that came along with your phone. Please insert the sim card with which your iPhone was purchased. Your phone is locked to that particular SIM and will not recognise other sim cards. If you don't know which sim it was, you might want to take the iPhone to the place where you purchased it from.

If you mean that you are creating a new iTunes account then the gift card field is optional, it doesn't have to be filled in, you can enter your credit card details instead as your payment method - and no, there isn't a 'promo code'.

Accidentally merged my iPhone with my partners iPhone library now when she adds new app she is asked for my password, when she restores phone, my apps download onto her chosen wallpaper/phone 5c, she still has her content too, it's like we have two accounts merged into one even our music is one big jumbled mess! please help!?!?!
Yeah we thought about just syncing straight to her itune library... But the problem is she had used her iphone 3gs to purchase a boat load of new music and apps during the past 30 days or so... And those now only show up in my itunes library...
Also - I want to be careful not to wipe out all of my content by syncing her phone with my itunes again... Are there any precautions to take to make sure that the sync ensures content writing to her iphone ... rather than the other way around?

i have followed the suggested methods of restoring my iphone by placing it into recovory mode, however itunes keeps asking for a response from my iphone except it is disabled and thus the restoration willnot continue

I updated my ipad air to iso 8 and now its asking for a vpn password I have never had one before, and even with my wifi shut off. It also will not let me sign in to my apple id, saying it is the wrong password, but I used it on my computer with no problem. to get to this blog.Tried restarting it, nothing, tried to shut off wifi nothing it will not let me do anything.

my iphone4 is disabled as the passcode is saying incorrect i have connected to itunes where i have restored the phone and the passcode is still coming up an apple advisor is ringing me bk within the next hour and want to no if there is anythin else i can i do in the meantime

I bought a iphone 4 a few months ago, used from a store .. i had to currently restore and update my phone today due to it saying connect to itunes it wouldnt do anything else so i did other wise, now my phone turns on but wont go past the apple id and the orginal owner still had there apple account in the phone and its asking for that account to actiavte the phone again and not mine , im stuck and dont no what to do i just want my phone to turn on again

thanks !!!You have encounter Activation Lock, the antitheft feature of the iPhone. The previous owner did not remove the phone from their account. The phone cannot be used until they do. Return to the store and let them sort this out. It is very unusual for someone to "forget" to disable activation lock, as it is necessary to do so to erase personal information on the phone. So it is quite likely you bought a stolen phone.

i had recently followed orders to restore my iPhone 3gs (iOS 6.1) from a question on apple support. However it was working fine before that, it's just that my phone didn't have signal. So it said to restore my iPhone and now it says that the Activation server is temporarily unavailable and when i plugged it into my mac, it said that i ddn't have a sim card installed. What can I do to fix this besides bring it to the store? it also bugs me because this answer was supposed to work but it just messed my phone up even more. This has already happened once and i had to take it to the store. What should I do to fix this? Thank you so much for all answers. i really appreciate.

Try popping out the SIM card and turn off the phone.
Pop in the SIM card once again and turn on the phone, make sure that the SIM card is placed and seated perfectly in the tray!

Somebody help!What happened when you connected your iPhone to your computer while running iTunes on your computer? You should be prompted through the restore process. If it doesn't work try getting your iPhone into Recovery Mode.
