It was used oversea and when I got it here from a use phone store that no longer is open.I have old bill what I pay for It back in 2010 it was unlock but ,It up date the phone to new solfware and not lock up ?

I WOULD LIKE TO USE T MOBILE ON THIS PHONE PAY AS I GO .
Sounds like your iPhone was previously hacked/modified/jailbroken
to work with other than the original carrier. The update has relocked
the iPhone to the original carrier and only the original carrier can
unlock it.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?

just recently my iphone is not syncing calendar to my macbook. It has worked all along until about a week ago. It does transfer new items from the computer to the iphone but not from the iphone to the computer.
Plug you iPhone into your computer, select the iPhone, select the photos tab. Now check (not uncheck) the sync photos from... Select the folder where the photo came from, click apply then sync, now uncheck the sync photos box, click apply, it will ask you if you want to remove the photos click remove, it will not delete other photos exept the ones in the folder that was synced. How do I sync what's on my computer to my iphone 3gs, not from the phone to the computer?
I have made changes in iTunes on my computer (sort, deleted items, etc) because the stupind iPhone won't download and sort my podcasts in order. When I sync to my phone everything from the phone gets back in iTunes.

I'm from the USA but am on vacation in Brazil; I have a great WiFi connection but can not connect to the iTunes Store. Is this because I am out of the Country?

You can buy a factory unlocked on direct from Apple sim free, make sure you get the right one and not just a contract free one. I am sure one of our US members will be able to give you the price.

Nope. You need a verified billing/shipping address in the US to use the US store. Same reason someone from the US couldn't use the UK store.

As Wjosten says it is locked to AT&T and they will not unlock it. Even though o2 unlock iphones they can only do this with phones originating from them. So, yes the phone is not able to be officially unlocked.

EDIT: I'm sorry, I missed that you referred to iPhone 5S. There should be an unlocked 5S, and it could work in Malaysia, but probably not with all of the bands there. Also, the warranty for the device is good only in the US. -

The officially unlocked GSM version will work fine. But why on earth do you want to do this? The iPhone warranty is not a true international warranty, thus you most likely won't have any warranty & support in the UK for a US purchased iPhone. Not to mention you can purchase officially unlocked iPhones in the UK. Your money, do what you want.

how can I skip the activation?Your phone is locked to AT&T and you will not be able to use it with anyother SIM. AT&T will not unlock an iPhone for any reason. Best to sell the phone and get an unlocked version if that is what you need.

you could buy it somewhere in Europe. I know Apple sells them unlocked here in Germany and if I am not mistaken also (among others) in France and Italy.
Yet, as Peter wrote, the warranty can become a problem. Not sure whether a one country only rule goes for the European Community as well though.
As for the price, the 16 GB model costs 679,- € (equals roughly 550 £). Currently there is an average delivery time of 4 to 5 weeks.
LTE connections will not work with Orange or Vodafone. Only EE is about to offer a compatible LTE network. DC-HSPA and regular HSPA+ will work fine.

There is NO International Warranty for the iPhone. Your best bet is to purchase one in Thailand. If you purchase a phone in France, you will NOT get warranty service on it in Thailand and will have to return it to France (or any EU country) for warranty service.

Sounds like your friend is a bit dumb and bought a carrier locked iPhone. The only way to address this is to contact the carrier to whom the device is locked and find out their unlock policy.

FYI, if the phone was not originally sold in India, it can not be serviced in India. You will have to take it back to the country where it originated.
