Connect the charger plug on your daughters phone and connect to the computer on the iTunes where she syncs and restore the phone in itunes and will come back up as new without old passcode lock.

Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
Some users have reported as many as 8 or 9 attempts were necessary before success
After you have Recovered your Device...

Restore it as explained in the article you were just reading. If you're running iOS 7 with Find My iPhone enabled, you'll have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808).

I havent touched my Iphone 4s in ages (about a month). I came back to it the other day. I forgot the password, so naturally it disabled it and is telling me to connect to iTunes. In the meantime, i had got a new computer and didnt back up the itunes files (because im an idiot). So now when i connect it to iTunes it tells me to verify it on the phone, but i cant get in there because it is disabled. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!! I HAVE NO IDEA ON HOW TO FIX IT!! iCloud: Remove your device from Find My iPhone - Support - Apple
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud).If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase device, then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account.All your content is erased and someone else can now activate the device.

Connect it to the computer that it normally syncs with and select restore in iTunes.

If your contacts are synced to your computer then they are in the supported app you are syncing with.
When you set up syncing of contacts on your device, which application did you select?

To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:

I'm afraid the IMEI number won't do you any good: its principal value is in enabling your service provider to block the phone.
In order for your iPhone to be locatable you must have enabled the 'Find My Phone' app on it prior to losing it, and it must be on, not wiped, and able to connect to a network. Unless all these conditions are true there is no way of locating it.
