I have restored my new replacement iPhone from my latest iCloud back up. However my camera roll pictures are not displaying. Its not saying I don't have any pictures in my camera roll, it has all the spaces for them, but it just shows empty white squares? How do I get my pictures back? Thanks!

It's difficult to say whether it's stuck or not as the time to restore a backup can depend on many factors.  You'll have to decide when you think it's just not continuing.  You could try turning the phone off (hold the power button until you see the red off slider, then slide to turn off), then back on to see if that would get it going again.
When you're convinced it's just hung, you can go back to settings and tap Stop Restoring iPhone to stop the restore.  You'll then have to try restoring it again (Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup).  Be sure it's connected to your charger and wifi while it's restoring the backup.
You might also try the approach posted here by ezjules: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589.  This seems to have worked for some people who had trouble restoring their photos from an iCloud backup.

I have recently got a new replacement iPhone 4.  Since I got this I have found that my data allowance is getting used up during the night while my phone is charging on the bedside table.  How an I find out what is causing this and stop it happening?  Some nights the usage is 150 meg!

You can not access the backup directly.
Did you restore your replacement from this backup?
If so then you already have everything in the backup on your device.
If not, you can wipe the device and restore from this backup:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings
What is it you are worried about losing that isn't already on your current device?

  • Just got a new replacement Iphone and my Itunes has died

Iv just received a new replacement Iphone 4 with new Sim card, and I have plugged it into my laptop (running Windiows XP) to sync with my Itunes.
I get a error window pop up saying "Itunes is not installed correctly, please reinstall Itunes Error 7 (windows error 127)"
And when I open Itunes from my start bar it say " The procedure entry point AVCFAssetCreateWith ByteStreamAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF. dll."
I haved tried to repair Itunes though control panel and Itunes in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer but does not seem to have helped.
I dont want to remove the program because I worried I might lose all my telephone number and music off my Iphone backup
can I take telephone numbers and apps from my old phone backup to put on my new phone even though Itunes isn't working or repairing and i have a new sim card?

Music purchased from the iTuens store can be transferred using iTunes.  However, music from other sources can only be transferred from your phone using 3rd party software such as PhoneView (mac) or Touch Copy (pc or mac).  These articles will show you how to start syncing with your new computer with minimal or no data loss:

  • Getting replacement iPhone unlocked.

    Hi,
On the 5th May i went into the istore in covent garden with my old iPhone 4s on Orange. My phone had encored a software/sim issue where it wouldn't pick up signal and was constantly saying "searching". I upgrade to an iPhone 5s on EE the week before my visit to the istore as my contract was up for renewal and my 4s wasn't working.
I got notified by one of your staff that as my phone 4s was out of warranty with both apple and orange they couldn't do anything for free however i could replace my faulty phone with a new one for £159 which i did. I was told that i would need to get it unlocked if i wanted to use the phone with a different network sim.
I have been trying to get my phone unlocked through EE since the 12th May and it has been a nightmare. As it stands they are tell me that the replacement 4s phone needs to be unbricked...which to my understanding is reversing it from being jailbroken. At no point was my old phone jailbroken and i have only turned this brand new replacement phone on several times to try activate it which have failed.
Im at a crossroads because EE are being awful there customer service is completely backwards and i just need some advice.
I find it very hard to believe that you would supply me with a jailbroken phone.
My issue is that i don't have my old sim to put in the iPhone 4s my new sim is too small to fit in and i only have the new o2 sim that says i need to contact my carrier EE or apple to get it unlocked.
I can supply you with both the old and new imei numbers if needed.
Hope this is enough info and you can help me with this very frustrating issue.
    Jack

This is how the unlocking process works as long as EE have processed the request correctly ( unfortunately an unlikely scenario)

  • New replacement iPhone 5 just received.

Hi, this morning i received my replacement iPhone 5. I am unsure but i believe the original handset i owned could of been on the O2-UK network. Is this replacement from Apple now going to be factory unlocked or not?
    Appreciate your time, thanks.

I think they are unlocked. Not to sure but with the iphone 4 that's what my friend got

  • Just bought new replacement iphone from apple store and less than two hours later, the screen went blurry and I can barely see anything. Phone still functions fine though.

Just bought a new replacement phone at the apple store and as soon as I got home, vertical lines came up through the screen and now it's extremely blurry. All the functions of the phone still work fine and I really can't see anything except a small part of the screen at the top. I called the apple store and he told me to put the phone in recovery mode on my computer and the restore and update it. I did this and I can tell the phone has restored yet it is still extremely blurry and I can't see anything to type it in. Is there anything I could do with this? The apple store is over an hour away and saving another trip down there would be great. Thanks

    Bad luck. Take ti back.

  • Not heard about iPhone unlock status since received initial email, please help?

I submitted the online form to get my iPhone 5 unlocked last week and got the email to say it had been received. However, I need to find out about the status of my submission as I am going abroad this week so would like to use new sim card in my phone. Who can I ask about this?

  • HT1918 I am trying to set up my new replacement iphone 5 and i dont know how to transfer my back up to the new phone.

I am trying to set up a new iphone 5 replacement and i don't know how to get my back up to the new phone.

Well you would be first need to be using the ITUNES program. Not be on itunes the internet page. The program will usually be a music note icon on your desktop. IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE INTERNET = safari , internet explorer, firefox, etc ....your not using the program itunes. YOur surfing the web.
with that said , always make sure your running the latest version of itunes. If on a mac  >in the upper left , next to the little Apple, click on the word itunes> check for updates.
windows users > where it says FIle EDIT View Controls Store Help across the top> select help > check up updates
    >Then plug your phone in
    > then when it appears in the itunes window , click on the iphone > it will bring up the option to restore from back up

  • My new (replacement) iPhone will not sync with iTunes on my Macbook.

My old (two weeks old, replacement of an old broken one) iPhone sync'd just fine, but kept going off. The new one will not sync at all, nor will it save my email passwords. Any clues?

Did you try to set it up as new device, without using the latest backup, in case it contains corrupt data?
How to back up your data and set up as a new device

  • HT201328 Hello. I sent a request for iphone unlocking:

Hello. I sent a request for iphone unlocking:
Status of your ATT Mobile Device (Phone or Tablet) Unlock request
    IMEI Number
    012646004628828
    Request Date/Time
    01/06/2014 10:08 PM
    Request Number
    6673769
    Current Status
    ATT Mobile Device Unlock Approved
But I can't still unlock it. I updated iOs, I restored data, but iphone isn't unlocked. On a site http://iphoneimei.info/ phone statute "locked". What shall I do?

Generally when you receive an email from AT&T about an unlock, it will tell you if the phone has been unlocked and then tell you to wait 24 hours before restoring the device to complete the unlock. I'm not sure where you got this screenshot you shown, but if you received the unlock email, then you need to connect the device to iTunes, restore it as new, not from a backup and you should see the message, Congratulations, you iPhone is unlocked, in iTunes. If you restore and do not see that, then you need to contact AT&T.

  • Replacement iPhone will not sync with existing library on external HD

I had an iPhone, and all of my music is on an external hard drive. Everything synced and worked great, no problems. However, the Apple store just replaced my iPhone on a warranty issue, and now my iPhone will not sync with my itunes. Itunes and my external hard drive work great, but the minute i plug in my new replacement iPhone, it instantly crashes my external hard drive and will not sync any of my music. Ideas?

    Hi,
The issue might be caused by the USB connection. Try directly connecting both devices to a high-speed USB2 port on the PC.
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1286 provides additional USB troubleshooting tips.
Also, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your PC.

  • T-Mobile SIM card won't work with my replacement factory unlocked iPhone 5

On Saturday, my rear camera on my factory unlocked iPhone 5 stopped focusing. I took it in to my nearest Apple store and they replaced it. Problem is, now I can't get my T-Mobile SIM card to work with the replacement phone. The guys at the genius bar sent me to T-Mobile to see if a new SIM card would fix the problem, but I'm still getting an "Unsupported SIM" error when I try to activate the phone. Any insights?

Do you have information about the model no. of original purchase that is printed on the back cover ?
What is model no. of the replacement iPhone 5 ?
If T-mobile SIM worked on the original purchase and does not work on the replacement iPhone 5, they gave you a wrong model.

  • How to check iPhone 2,3,4 with and without S factory unlock status

There are many discussion going around people concerned about how they can check that an iphone they got or purchased is FACTORY UNLOCKED here is what they need to do which I recently did
    1. First of all you will be getting signals for any carrier sim you insert into iphone
    2. To Confirm the FACTORY UNLOCK status you require following things
    (a) Latest version of itune
    (b) Latest version of ios download it to you laptop/pc desktop .
    3. Connect you iPhone with itune using cable connection not wifi , Itune should stay open
    4. press SHIFT button on your keyword for Windows and if you are on MAC you are going to hold option button then click Restore button and select the IPSW you have downloaded on your desktop and let restore process begain
    5. Once this is done you will have iphone screen and strat completing the activation screen in most cases you will have carrier shown up on top before the activation process end
6, ocne done you will see on your Itune screen
just like attached image in post it means your iphone is factory unlock and now can be used anywhere
    around the world.
    7. Just keep in mind iPhone official support is available to those countries where iphone are officially being launch
Please comment if this post helps you thanks
Note: Above process are mostly used for new factory unlocked devices for rest you will get you carrier info on top
    Thanks

  • IPhone unlocked by carrier, will Apple replace with an unlocked phone in the event of a warranty replacement?

    Hi there.
I use an iPhone with the Canadian provider, Fido.  I purchased the phone from Fido and signed up for a 3 year contract in order to recieve the phone at the reduced price.  I understand that Fido performs a carrier lock on the phone when you sign up in this way so that the phone can only be used on the Fido network.
At the moment I am in the process of cancelling my contract with Fido and switching over to another provider in Canada.  After doing some research, I found out that Fido offers a service where they will unlock your phone from their network when you finish your contract, for a fee.  Since I am cancelling my contract and paying the early cancellation penalty, my contract will be satisfied and I will be eligible for the unlock service.   My plan is to have my iPhone unlocked by Fido so that I can use the phone with my new provider.
My question is this: If I have my phone legitimately unlocked by my provider, will Apple send me an unlocked phone in the event that their is a hardware failure covered under warranty, and I need a replacement iPhone?  All my previous replacement iPhones have been, to my knowledge, locked by Apple back onto my provider before they are sent to me.  But, it would be awfully annoying if a replacement phone came to me locked onto an old network that I no longer use.
Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Are you sure about this? I thought so too, but when I received my replacement iPhone 6, it was locked again.
I bought a carrier locked iPhone. Then it was replaced with another carrier iPhone. This second phone (first replacement) was then unlocked. Later the unlocked iPhone was replaced with a third phone (second replacement). To my disappointment the second iPhone replacement is locked.
The Authorized Service center said that Apple made a mistake and should unlock it remotely ASAP. Apple Support however, says that iPhones are replaced with specifications of the originally initially purchased iPhone. If the original was unlocked, they would replace it with unlocked, but if it was locked then replaced with a locked and then unlocked by carrier. The carrier should be contacted again to unlock future replacements. I know it sounds ridiculous and illogical.
If an iPhone has been unlocked (obviously by a carrier), why would you replace it with a locked iPhone and ask the customer to contact his carrier and request another unlock for the replacement iPhone? So inefficient and could be a problem if the carrier allows only one unlock per year per line like most do, or if you are no longer a customer of that carrier.
Interestingly I found the following on Apple's "Hardware Warranty". Retrieved from: https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/ios-warranty-document-us.html):
"Following warranty service your Apple Product or a replacement device will be returned to you as your Apple Product was configured when originally purchased, subject to applicable updates.”
What I understand from this is that replacements will be configured exactly as the originally purchased including any updates made to it. I believe unlock is considered an update.
Apple Support argues that the second device was unlocked (updated), but the original (initial / first) device was not unlocked. Therefore, I should deal with my old carrier to unlock this one.
    How insanely ridiculous is that???
