HT201328 Unlock worked but then some weeks later it reverted to being locked again...?
I received a replacement iPhone 4 from Apple UK as I water damaged mine. I followed the restore process via iCloud whilst I was in the store and the phone was working properly. Some months later I discovered that it didn't appear to be unlocked, yet my previous one was unlocked by the carrier. I visited the Apple UK store and spoke to one of the chaps there and they informed me that they could see the "unlock" was pending and I needed to perform a restore which I duly did on 29 Dec following the instructions in HT5014. The restore and unlock worked as my other sim worked - it's from DigiMobil in Spain and I only use it when I go abroad. I then switched my sim back to my normal home carrier, Vodafone UK, and that worked too so all looked perfect. However, some weeks passed and I put my holiday DigiMobil sim in the phone and now it can't get a signal so it appears to be locked again. I have just done another restore today, 13 Jan and the DigiMobil sim now works again. I also put my Vodafone UK sim back in and that worked too, however when I put the DigiMobile sim back in again, it has failed to get a signal again!
However, my question is: What needs to be done so that I don't need to continuously keep restoring my phone when I want to switch between sims?
Other facts which may help:
- I know the DigiMobil sim works as I've tested it in another handset.
- I don't recall ever getting a message stating that my unlock was successful,

I have subsequently been able to get a signal with my DigiMobil, it just took about 20 mins to get it after searching and no service. I can also get a signal with my Vodafone UK so it does appear to be working.
However, before the erase and restore today, I waited all day yesterday and only ever received no service for the DigiMobil sim. So let's see if it's properly fixed or whether I'll be back in a few weeks after having performed another erase and restore...

I updated Firefox and now it will not open at all. The hourglass shows that it's working but then nothing. I went to add/remove and removed mozilla and reinstalled it and still the same thing. It worked fine before I updated. Now I can't even remove the program at all. Why is this happening?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

I want to use a FM radio app to Airplay music through my Apple TV (by using the synchronizing function). Works, but after some minutes, the Airplay audio output setting switches back to iPad. Why? Solution?

when i try to access the itunes store to buy music, it loads at the top and says connecting to itunes store..then it loads all the way and goes to a blank page. it loads and seems like it is will work, but then goes to a blank page. Why is it doing this?

sure, just install and activate. one license entitles you to two concurrent activations.
if you've already activated on two computers you will need to deactivate (help>deactivate) on, at least, one. -
G4 just replaced power supply , it powers up , but the screen is not on and the mouse and keyboard aren't on either. Memtest X or Rember to test the RAM.

The iPhone 4 doesn't like USB 1.1 much.
after the update the computer was working well, except for this freeze when ever I connect iPhone.
I'd try USB 2.0 PCI. That's how I connect my iPhone 4s, and have connected all iPhones and iPods, to my G4.
Never an issue.
Can't say the same for USB 1.1.......

You can do it by manually managing music and videos. See:

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions -
I can't read acsm files on my e-reader after transferring them from the pc with ADE. it seems to work, but then when I try to open the files on the e-reader it says "open failure". what's wrong?
The acsm file is not the book, it is a ticket to get the book. I sometimes get library books online, here is what I do.
1. Start ADE on the computer
2. Go to library website and find the book I want to download.
3. Click on the download link
4. In windows 7 a box opens asking whether I want to open( or run) or save the acsm file
5. Click open/run and ADE downloads the book into the "Library"
6. Transfer the book (epub file) to the reader. -
Hi Apple! I am having a few problems with my 6 month old iPad mini (ios 7.1.1). I am using my iPad and then some time later it just restars! Don't know why and it just keeps doing it! Please fix or if I restore my iPad will it do any good? Thank you
Plug your iPad into your computer, open iTunes, and click Restore. This will reset your iPad to factory settings, so make sure everything important is stored safely. Once the restore is complete, do NOT restore from your backup.
If you still have problems, take the iPad to the Apple Store or another AASP (Apple Authorised Service Provider). If you're still within warranty, any service will be of no cost. Check your serial number here or find your receipt.

my samsung stratosphere is very slow to place a call. I input the number and push CALL. Nothing happens. I try it again and nothing happens. Then some time later (2-5 mins) the phone goes ahead and dials. What is causing this delay in dialing.

My exported movie was burned to a RW disc and working, but then disappeared. One day it was there, one day it was not. Also, I then opened the same file (as a project)and when I closed it, it asked if I wanted to save changes. I said no, and the next time I opened it, there was no content. Any thoughts on what might have happened?
Being a RW disc, perhaps you accidentally deleted it?
