HT201335 Issues on my iPad 2 with AirPlay

I am attempting to use airplay with my iPad 2 and am not having success. I have meet the requirements yet when I double click the home button and look for the AirPlay icon I have no luck. Any suggestions?

Amazon Prime reply app does not allow video airplay - nor do several other content providers.
It must have something to do with digital rights/copyright.

Issues syncing new iPad air with iTunes

Hi everyone-
I work at an Apple Reseller and I am trying to trouble shoot an issue for one of my customers. He brought in an iPad 3 with information on it that he backed up to iTunes and wants to put it on his new iPad air. The issue is that the PC would not recognize the new iPad Air, but will recognize the older device. He is running Windows 7 on a PC and is using the newest version of iTunes. Does anyone know if there are any special drivers he needs to have? Or why iTunes won't recognize the new iPad air? Has anyone else had this issue? Please respond. Thank you!!

is the new device running ios 7.0.3? if not update ios over wifi.

You can not use AirPlay if you have not eneabled it and set it up on each device.

Is the new IOS 8.1.3 (ipad) incompatible with Airplay?

In our school we use ipads and apple tv, so the students can present their work on the active board. However, after upgrading the software to iOS 8.1.3 on some of the ipads, they are no longer able to connect via airplay, while it still works in those ipads, that are not upgraded.
Is this a bug in the new edition of iOS?

When my apple tv 3 with newest firmware 7.0.3 is in standby and on my iphone 6 with iOS 8.1.3 I choose the apple tv to play it won't play. It takes 5 seconds and the apple tv entry disappears. The music is played on the iphone. I have to try about 5 times. after that the music is played over apple tv. This is not the case, if the apple tv never is in stand by (standby off). This was not the case with iOS 7.
I hope they will fix this soon. Until then, I leave my apple tv turned on.

hey diesel, my guess is that they put that there because just to cover their backs... the 1st Gen. iPad's OS can no longer be updated, so if they change something fundemental or added new features relating to AirPlay, it will not get updated on 1st Gen. iPads and AirPlay could cease to function or get new functionality.. so yes, it's no longer "supported", in that they are not going to insure that AirPlay is backwards compatible with any updates, but in spite of this lack of support, at this this time it continues to work... fingers crossed
added to this, AirPlay on the iOS on 1st gen. iPad is a bit flaky at times, doesn't support full screen mirroring etc.. so already it is out of whack with current AirPlay functionality... so AirPlay on these devices is already out of step with current implementation of AirPlay... but the basic functionality still works... uses it all the time.. I used it this morning...

IPad mini with retina display and airplay issues?

Hey guys, So i bought an iPad mini with retina display last week. Have an ipad 3 at home that we've been using before that. For some reason, using Airplay from the Mini doesnt seem to work properly. I use the same apps (Dailymotion, Youtube and a few links online) on the iPad 3 and they work fine. But whenever i use in my mini, the video stops after a few mins. it stops playing on the tv, and continues on the ipad. Is anyone else having the same problem? BTW all my devices have up to date software so that is not an issue i think . .Be good to get some help/ feedback /suggestions about this . Thanks

i recently have been problem with my AppleTV. I select the AirPlay button on my ipad3 and select AppleTV below my iPad selection. The tablet thinks for a little bit, about 5 seconds, and then gives up, deselecting the AppleTV button and refreshing automatically to display on my tablet. My spouse has the same issue at the same time with her ipad air. All software is up to date and re verified wifi. The AppleTV can still stream from its internal apps. Seems like the only problem is AirPlay.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

Issues syncing iPhone 5 and iPad mini with outlook calendars

I am having issues syncing my iPhone 5 and iPad mini with Outlook calendar. This is a new problem since I upgraded to IOS 7. I am now using ios 7.0.2. I have removed air sync for calendars and that has not resolved the issue. Nothing new on my calendar is syncing to my phone or ipad. Any suggestions?

Since upgrading to iOS7, i have experienced issues with Airplay button missing from the control menu as well as in Spotify. It is as if airplay is not runing. A temp fix: Reboot of the ipad mini (Home button+standby) Is there anything permanent?
I have verified that my iPad mini and apple TV is up to date.
Airplay enabled, the network is connected with internet.
It is as if, airplay is a service that just stopped working and has to be restarted again via a reboot.

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

What can I do with airplay and 1st gen iPad?

I just set up my new 2nd gen atv. I have a 1st gen iPad. Besides using it for movies, photos. what else can I do with Airplay. I've seen posts about using it for games such as racing but I looked at a couple of racing games I have and don't see how to send it to my tv like a movie. Any help is much appreciated!

Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues).

Is there really not an email address for tech support? ( I really do not want to waste time being put on hold on the phone.)
However, I have 3 Issues Regarding iPad 2 with IOS 7:
1.) I can no longer open up the apps from the update page. (I used to be
able to & it was a quick way of making certain that I wanted to keep an app
before I updated it.
2.) I have many apps that I have updated since installing the new
operating system & they now have "open" symbols next to them, but I don't
know how to get them off of my update list (since that has already been
done to them).
3.) My iPad has gotten stuck or frozen more in this last week since the
new update then has in the last 2 years put together. (It seems to be stemming from the "Updates" page as sometimes that page is just white & will not open, even though everything else opens & I have an internet connection.)

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. No. Only iPhone 4S and iPad (2nd or 3rd Gen) as it requires more processing power. You can still use airplay with your device though.

Ipad 4 with Retina issue using projector

I have just downloaded ios 8.2. My projector no longer works. It keeps trying to download firmware. I've never had this issue and the only change is the ios update from 8.1.3. The connectors were even replaced to no avail. Lightening to hdmi.
