I was searching all over to figure out more on screen mirroring feature via Apple TV . Everywhere it talks about screen mirroring , does it mean that only video what is appearing on the iPhone 4s screen is mirrored ? How do I get the audio to the HD TV ?

iPhone 4S mirroring sends both video and audio to the TV provided airplay of the content is supported.
With non-mirroring Airplay certain things only send teh audio as teh content owners block video airplay, but I've never heard of anyone getting video not audio, only the reverse.

I am not sure what you mean by "Muse Side" Or BC.
People who have only Muse experience with the web, sorry its hard to follow what you mean sometimes so bare with people like me.
BC - This is the CMS (Content management system) and hosting platform to develop websites on. Muse is a very basic graphical based interface to build websites. This is NOT the only thing you use to build websites on and use with BC. I use Coda2 for example (We design and then code sites ourselves to offer rich, feature and web standard, well optimised etc websites).
Because embeded videos are html, flash etc depending on what you choose then you can.
Auto play is a bad idea, its a bad user experience. Why? Say you just had a gaming session or listed to music, you now have that stopped and your now browsing the web. All of a sudden you load a site that starts playing sound in your ears - This is a big shock and its a very well known pet hate of web users. It puts them off your site instantly.
In saying that you can have a video autoplay from youtube if you just enable the option when you embed it, so does vimeo. That is at the basic levelt.
If you want to have a modal pop up on your home page you will need to code it to do so when you load the home page using javascript. In that you can have the video and set that to autoplay. The one thing you will need to do is also code cookie support in javascript as well. You will want to do this when the user closes the browser because as soon as they do so they do not want to see it again if they reload or go back to the home page. Your cookie will be checked every time the homepage loads and if it is there - dont play the video, if it is not then play the video popup.

For those battling with their java hogging the audio device *and for those who waste their time with runescape *included* *
Install PulseAudio and follow their instruction, be sure to READ ( and more if you are like me that can't survive without listening to music).
After installing and testing everything go to console type in:
$ padsp opera
Note I use opera, although I'm pretty sure most of you use firefox. Don't bother though, firefox 3.5 will hang on, been looking on how to fix it but not close enough.
if you run
$ pavucontrol
you should be able to see all the applications that uses audio routed onto it and be able to manipulate the volume of each one
Alright going back to the 'dadsp opera' step, go to runescape.org or whatever site that contains java mini games or application that uses audio, run it and you should be able to get it working. In the 'pavucontrol' it'd be marked as "OSS Emulation"
Along with this, be sure to check on libflashsupport-pulse (using 32 bit one personally)

i currently use iphone 3gs and desired to buy iphone4!but i'm doubtful whether the video calling can be done from iphone to some other mobiles! help me out!!!

At the current time, you cannot call "other mobiles", unless the other mobile is an iPhone 4 (or presumably, an iPod Touch (4th gen) which has the current version of iOS installed).
Of course, calls can be placed from/to other devices running FaceTime Beta (whether desktop or laptop OS X), but those aren't considered "mobile devices".
Now, it's reasonable to say that it may be desirable to extend the FT calling circle to other devices/platforms, but only time will tell (Apple remains tight-lipped on future plans until they're officially unveiled).

Will the video tags in HTML 5 work inside premiere pro panel?

But the preview video option in our panel is not working. We have created the preview function using HTML 5 video tag element.
while testing the panel the video tag is comming as black screen.

Al Jazeera in English will run audio, but won't display video. Page tells me I need a missing plug-in, but when I look, it says there aren't any.

I get the warning "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page." When I click the "Install Missing Plugins..." button, it says: "Conclusion: No suitable plugins were found."
At first, when I started the video player on this page, it would play the audio for a bit (no video) and then crash FF. I disabled the Silverlight plugin, and reinstalled Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave. Now the page doesn't crash, but I still only get audio, no video.

Hi - I tried the tip above but easier. If you right click on the flash player (or two finger click I guess in mac speak) you will see a settings box.
"To make the video display without crashing Firefox, I had to do what georgek above did: disable hardware acceleration in Flash. However, I couldn't do it in the Flash window on the Al Jazeera web page. Everytime I right clicked and selected Settings, the settings dialogue box was grayed out and I couldn't make any changes. "
Same for all of us - but only - strangely - on Al Jazeera's page. In my Facebook account, where one of my games are that use the Flash player also (TikiResort) it is not grayed out and I was able to deselect it. When I went back to Al Jazeera I looked again - and voila! Deselected and AlJE is playing.
The other post suggested something more complex about going to Macromedia's site and doing the same thing - but it seems to me any other instance of Flash player will do.

Playback pauses and audio sync issues with live video stream

I'm seeing playback pauses about every three seconds and audio sync issues with our live demo stream when using the OSMF/Strobe player. It happens on both our 2Mbps 720p stream and our 480p 750Kbps stream so it does not seem to be related to higher resolution/bandwidth streams. It also happens if I point directly to a stream asset or if I point to a .f4v with both streams listed for dynamic so it does not seem to be related to dynamic streaming specifically.
The same live streams play back very well without pauses or audio sync issues in the Akamai's dynamic player and even slightly better with JW 5.2.
I have viewed the OSMF/Strobe playback on three different laptops of various age (3 months to 2 years) and two are Windows and one is Linux. I have also tried the various buffering options on the Flash Media Player Setup and Strobe setup and it has not made a noticeable difference.

I do not have JW set up for public viewing yet, but the two above show the distinct difference.

dynamicStreamBufferTime=8
The actual value can be higher or lower. The best practice is to use a value that is twice the keyframe distance. Anyway, try different values and see which performs the best for your content.
I know that the setup page does not contain this option and it is not documented in the UserGuide. We simply missed it. Sorry.
Also note that the dynamic buffering algorithms are not being used for dynamic streaming content. I tried to explain this here:

Audio is jerky with Quicktime videos

Thanks to Gary Teresi for doing the research and posting the two links below that show QuickTime performing differently.
I noticed that there were no more posts followng his post aside from one that verified that the following information is true. He found two separate streams where the behavior is completely opposite, one with jerky audio and one without. Hard to imagine it's a setting on my computer causing the issue.
Here is an example of a file that only the video plays fine, but the audio is very distorted... (click this week's message)

I could really use some help answering the following two questions.
1) How can you be sure (aside from formatting the hard drive) that your current QuickTime version has been uninstalled? Is there a registry key that can be removed? I uninstalled and uninstalled, and then installed an earlier version, but it still comes up as the latest version.
2) What are the settings that some have found are the problem creating this issue? Some have said that settings not set appropriately can cause similar issues. Has anyone been able to duplicate this issue by changing settings?

I, too am having the same problem.
One thing that i have tried was to uninstall Itunes and Quicktime and install Quicktime Alternative.

On the right hand side of the page there is a QT logo with play this weeks message.
When i click on it, it opens and the sound is very distorted, the video is fine, (except in my case i'm having trouble w/ the audio and video being out of sync.)
Any way, i opened the file, let it finish downloading, then i right clicked in the same window and chose to "save as source" or "save as QT file" and save it to my desk top.
i right click on the file and another dialog box comes up asking what i want to open the file with.
After many tries w/ different media players, i finally got the the file to WORK in (of all things!), Windows Media Player!!!
i hope someone would try this also, and let me know, if this works for you.

Ive been doing the starter videos trying to learn how to build pages etc. I am aware that there have been changes from what iam using and what the video is using. Is there a way to update or switch views temp? I am having problem with the part about "inserting image with captions" and the "figure" button. What are my opitions here? Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know which videos you're referring to. I recommend doing this 5-part written tutorial by David Powers. Unlike videos which often gloss over the finer points, David's tutorials are detailed with example files you can download.

Audio sync issues with Flip video and PSE9?

If I upload directly from my Flip video camera to PSE9, the audio may start out as synchronized, but as the video progresses the audio becomes more and more out-of-sync. If I use Quicktime to upload the video and export it as a Quicktime movie, the audio synchronization is fine in PSE9. I have tried ALL the tech support suggestions, but no luck. Does anhyone else have this problem? I am running Windows 7.

Presenting on ipad: will the video sound play through external speakers?

I'm giving a presentation on my iPad, using Keynote. I have always had problems connecting the iPad to the podium in our classrooms (using the connector)--the screen mirrors beautifully, but the sound doesn't get transmitted. There is a speaker jack on the podium that always works with my MacBook, but when I plug it into the iPad2, no sound (except for the iPad's own speakers). Can anyone help? I don't want to have to take my MacBook--but I need sound! Thanks.
