No need to get in touch with account security because they will only tell you what I'm about to tell you...
Just log into the appleid.apple.com website > sign in with his/her apple id > go to password and security in the left side > enter the security questions > and from there you can edit the rescue email. -

I have upgraded to 10.6.8 Snow Leopard from Leopard on my macbook pro and now cannot read and write pages. Pages in app store is for 10.10 and above. I don't have a pages application. Where can I get pages for snow leopard?
It's been so long since I bought my macbook pro in August of 2010, but I do remember the iwork disk that had pages, numbers, and keynote on it, but I can't find the disk in my closet. I did not realize that when I took my computer in to the genius bar to upgrade to Snow Leopard, and then to download Yosemite, that I would lose these applications. I had no reason to open pages when I emptied my hard drive to upgrade to Snow Leopard, so I don't know if I kept iwork when I upgraded to Snow Leopard at the Genius Bar. I had file vault on with my external drive on, and since removed it before the upgrade, but now all my documents are unable to open on my external drive. ****. So now the new problem is how do I undo file vault in a new OS 10.10 when encoded in 6.8? Can I take my external drive in to Genius Bar?

Note: Creating a new Apple ID wont help.. you must use the same Apple ID as you used to purchase LPX in the first place to download it...
However;
Several people have reported a similar issue over the last few days.. For most, trying again the next day worked.. Seems like Apple has been doing some work on their servers... and this has temporarily caused issues when trying to download an app...
If this doesn't resolve itself...then as i said, contact Apple directly. -

As per Apple instructions, I moved my iPhoto library to an external hard drive so that I could free up space on my full iMac. However, I was not told the last step in the process -- How do I get the iPhoto library off my iMac so I free up that memory?
And after deleting the old Library, you should start up iPhoto while holding down the Option key in order to force iPhoto to let you select your iPhoto Library that is on your external hard drive. If you start up iPhoto the usual way, it will just create a new, blank iPhoto Library in your /users/yourusername/Pictures folder on your iMac's internal hard drive.

I bought iphone 5c phone on Ebay, the seller in the description specified that phone is completely cleared and ready to work. It appeared that the seller didn't disconnect function to find my iPhone and now I can make nothing with phone. Another reason: You said he doesn't understand that find my iPhone is activated. If the phone was originally his, he would have known what it was since he had to turn on find my iPhone to begin with.
Doens't mean they know what FindMyiPhone is or that they even activated it.
Many (most?) users simply click thru without reading anything and don't have a clue what they are clicking on. -
Since updating my iPhone 3GS on my friends laptop, it keeps asking for her iTunes Id not mine. When I log onto a computer it comes up with my Id but from my phone it's my friends. I don't have an option to change the user Id when it pops up either. So I can't update my apps, download songs or games now as it will charge my friend

Went to Help. But the instructions didn't work
clicking the iPhoto icon with the Option and Command keys opened iPhoto but not the First Aid as promisedGive this a try:
1 -be sure to have a current backup of the iPhoto library.
2 - download and launch http://www.macchampion.com/arbysoft/BatChmod.
3 - click on the File button, locate and select your iPhoto Library.
4 - check the Unlock and Apply to enclosed checkboxes.
5 - make no changes to the other checkboxes
6 - click on the Apply button.

Thank you for your reply, I did go to my general settings, but for some odd reason I don't have a restrictions setting, or a reset setting. I thought I could reset all the setting to see if it could be that, but as I said there aren't any.
My husband also has the iPad 2, and also did the software update and hasn't had any problems at all. I took both iPad's and compared the settings thinking maybe there could be a setting that could have been changed when the update was done. -

1) Apps are not part of the backup, only data stored by 3rd party apps. But you can redownload the apps for free again if you use the same account you did when you bought them the first time. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
2) See this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 and find out what's in your backup.
3) Backup your itunes+ library (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1382 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751), which will copy your Mobile Applications folder, and save your iphone backup folder as well
In other words, maintaining a backup of your computer is essential.
