I spelled the e-mail address incorrectly when I signed up for the iCloud service but didn't notice it until it was set. How can I change the address to be spelled correctly? If it means deleting the incorrect one and then adding the correct one I can't figure out how to do that either!

If you would rather create a new account and keep your data, start by saving any photo stream photos on your phone that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data. When you turn Mail on you will be asked to create your new iCloud email address. Type carefully as it cannot be changed later.

So my options are:
Create a new Apple ID, use that and lose all the apps I've purhcased with it (a fairly substantial amount)
Somehow Migrate these purchases over to a new Apple ID
Apple let me change the primary ID for the account
Anyone else ran into this before?
I've tried accessing the mail through a mail application using the correct server information, and trying both the old 6 character password and the one I had to change it too after they updated the security guidelines - neither work.
Help would be greatly appreciated as I can see more services down the line not working without the address being verified!

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should not need to verify the old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. With the Name, ID, and Email Address drawer selected, click Edit next to Apple ID and Primary Email Address.
Enter your new email address.

Delete your email from rescue address;
Do logout and login again into manage your apple id;
Go back to Name, id and email address;
Change your primary email address;

My apple ID is not an @icloud address (it is @yahoo.com). Curretnly I have an @icloud e-mail address associated with this account. If I log onto icloud.com with my @yahoo Aplle ID, it will show the emails that I have received from my current @icloud e-mail address.
How do I:
1) create a new @icloud e-mial address and
2) replace the old @icloud with the new @icloud
3) forward e-mails from the old address to the new one and then, evetually delete the old one.

When I got my iPhone and started using the iCloud, it was with an older email address - but everything's been working OK. I have since created a newer Apple ID associated with my recent email address.
Recently I updated my billing address on the credit card I use ot pay for the iCloud service, but when I try to update my iClous setting on my iPad or iPhone, they both have the older Apple ID email addresses and everytime I try to reset that password, I never get the confrimation email.
Any sugesstions?

You can't change your @icloud.com email address, but you can create an @icloud.com email alias with the name you want to use. This will receive email in your current iCoud email inbox. This article explains how to create an alias address: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622. Be aware that when you create an alias address, you can't later use that address to create a new iCloud account. You also can't transfer it to another account or reactivate it should you ever delete it.

You made a purchase and exhausted the credit on your card before it processed. All purchases are final. Contact iTunes Store support. You need to settle up before you can purchase or download anything else.
