HT201359 About taxes and accounts on different countries.

Hello Apple comunity!
About taxes;
Which ones apply to us, the customers?
The ones from our own Country, or the ones on US.
What difference in terms of taxes does it makes to register the account on a country different than the one in which we have our banking account?
Example:
I want to buy a U$1 song and my credit card is managed by a Colombian bank.
Does it cost the same if I bought it through the U.S. iTunes Store, or through the Colombia’s iTunes Store?
There is plenty of more content on the U.S stores (apps, books, musice, etc) than in other countries, but we eouldn't like to pay for extra fees.
Note: I've read the Terms And Conditions and couldn't find explicit info about this matters.
Hope to hear from you,
Andrés Mendoza.

If you are in Columbia then you can only buy from the Columbian store, so the Columbian prices will apply - to be able to buy from the US store, you will need a valid US billing address and be in the US when buying from it, and you will be charged US taxes there.
From the US store's terms of use (and other country's stores will have similar statements) :
The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance.

Hi can someone tell me if it is possible to have two accounts (from different countries) in the same laptop?

    Hi...
The issue is that your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside to make purchases.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

Billing policy is the same for both the iTunes as well as Mac App Stores.

  • Best way to manage multiple iTunes accounts (from different countries)

Ok, wasn't sure if this was the best community to ask this question, but here goes.
My wife and I have two iTunes accounts, one originally from the United States, the other originally from Australia. Over the years content has been purchased using both accounts.
We currently reside in Australia and primarily view our content on Apple TV. So far we’ve had no problems logging into either account and accessing all our content.
Now, I have a fear (perhaps an irrational one) that if we choose to permanently reside in one country (Australia, the US, somewhere else) that at some point Apple may cancel/restrict one of these accounts. Since there is no way for me to merge all our purchased digital content into the one digital library, we’re now wondering the best way to manage this?
I see there is a new "family sharing" feature soon to be launched, so that may be half the solution (assuming it will work with family members in different continents). If so, the other half of the question is, will we be able to still purchase content on both accounts? While in Australia since April we have rented movies on both accounts, but have only purchased movies etc on the Australian account (we can still do this on the US account, but we haven't risked it in case it gets cancelled because Apple decides we're no longer in the US - in other words, we don't want to spend $$$ on movies we may not be able to access in future).
What do others think? What is the best way for us to manage our scenario? Or am I worried about nothing and we can continue purchasing content on either account without fear of “losing” it later?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I did try and ring Apple, but the guy refused to give me advice until I provided my details and I did't want to do that at this stage.
    Thanks everyone for your help!
    MM

You may lose the ability to purchase content from the USA, but any content you've already bought will remain accessible. Back everything up.

  • How can I update the apps. with the new iTune, that's really silly especially I have two iTune account for different countries

I used 2 iPhones and a iPad, 2 Apple ID for different countries so that I can download apps. from different country.  Its a pain and sometimes no possible to update the apps. on the ISO devices.  Apple really needs to fix this aspect.  Also the new iTunes is so difficult to use, please bring back the old one.

    When Itunes opens
    1) Click on drop dow list button top left under the player controls
    2) Select Apps
    3) At the bottom right there are two buttons, Check for updates and Get More Apps
An Alternative is when iTunes opens in the top menu Click on View, Show Sidebar. Then you will see your apps page as in itunes 10. Click on that option and as before you should have two buttons, Check for updates and Get More Apps.
NB this is all within Itunes NOT the iTunes Store

  • Tax procedure compatability in different countries

    Hi All,
Can we have two companies (Company codes) operating in differeng countries under same client?
We are operating in India, can we have another subsidiary say in Spain within same Client?
And is the Tax Procedure Company Code specific or Client?
We are currently using TAX INJ condition, will it be compatable to the Tax procedure of Spain or we have to migrate to TAX INN condition to incorporate TAX procedure of Spain.
    Regds,
    Ritesh

    Hi Ritesh,
Yes. you can have two company codes operating under same client. You can have a company code for India and another for Spain But keeping under same client. This allows you to share the settings like master data, config settings, and also it enables intercompany transactions between India and Spain .
Tax Procedure is country specific actually. Hence you will be assigning your tax calculation procedure for a specific country i.e in this case India and spain respectively. Transaction code is OBBG. And the procedures will be different.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks & Regards,

  • ITunes Store Accounts in different countries.

    Hi,
I first made an iTunes account when i was living in france. And so all the apps that i bought was from the iTunes French Store.
Now i have moved to India and want to shift my account to the Indian iTunes Store. How do I do that? Do i get to keep all the Apps that i have bought in the previous Store?
    Thanks...

To purchase in the India store, you will need to update your store account with credit card info that has a billing address in India. Then, scroll to the bottom of the Store page and look for an icon (on the right) of the French flag. Click the icon and look for the India store and select it.
As to your apps, as far as I know, you can keep them. I'm just not sure if there are issues with updates. Perhaps someone else knows more about that.

  • Rsreportserver config urls reservations accountsid and account name different from service account

    Hi All ,
I have an  ssrs instance  which has been al ready configured, the instance is set up to use network service account ,but the rsreportserver is configured to a different account in the urlreservations   section  ,will this  effect
the kerberos setup for ssrs server,
    Many Thanks
    Chandra

    Hi DataPro2010,
In Reporting Services, when we configure a service account in Reporting Services Configuration Manager, this account will be written into Urlreservations section automatically. This account is used for accessing the Web Services URL and Reporting Manager
URL. It's not related to Kerberos setting. For Configuring Kerberos Authentication for SSRS, Please refer to the links below:
Configure Windows Authentication on the Report Server

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • Can I have 2 iTunes accounts (in different countries)?

When I want to use my iTunes store, it asks me to "Create an Apple Account for x iTunes store".
Now, I study in country A, and have a bank card there. I live in B, and have a bank card there too.
The question seems to imply that it's possible to have an Apple Account for each iTunes store (as long as one has a billing address in the country in question).
    Is this indeed the case?

    Yes, it is the case.

  • How best to manage AppleIDs for different countries?

We live in Canada, but have a recreational property in the U.S. where we spend several months each winter.
We use AppleTV in both locations, and as such, we have to have AppleIDs associated with both the US iTunes Store and the Canada iTunes Store (which of course means that we have to have credit cards in both countries, which we do).
This is frustrating as we often have to buy the same content twice so as to be able to watch it in two countries... but I understand that this is probably a content owner imposed issue about distribution rights, and not due to Apple.
We used to easily manage this by just switching the AppleID (& country of store) on our MacBooks as we travelled back and forth.
Then Apple introduced a constraint that one could no longer switch between AppleIDs on hardware such as MacBooks and iPads (I believe that one can switch to a new account any time, but cannot switch back to a previously used account until a period of time passes, which I believe used to be 90 days).
Now it seems that one cannot do these account reversals more often than one per year.
It seems like it is getting to the point that one has to have a portable hardware device for each country and use a different AppleID on each in order to have access while travelling to the content that one has paid for in the past.
This was not the case years ago when much of this content was purchased.
Further, when doing upgrades, it is easy when prompted to enter the "wrong" AppleID and then unintentionally lose access to the store in the country that one is currently in (now for up to a year!)
Is there a better way to manage one's accounts across different countries?
Given the constraints on AppleIDs, it is not something that is easy to figure out through experimentation.

We can start applications in a particular screen, since Snow Leopard, similar to what Linux has been able to do for some time; however, these screens are not really desktops, since we can't dedicate certain shortcuts/icons to only appear on certain screens.
Thanks, Eric.  Perhaps I wasn't clear in the above.  I realize we can start applications in certain desktops, but that is NOT what I'm after.
What I would like is the icons (i.e., shortcuts, directories, files) that appear on the desktop, to be different for each desktop.  Such that if I go to Desktop 2, I can place all my game icons/shortcuts there.  Then if I switch to Desktop 3, I might have all my Office programs there, but not my games.  Does that make sense?
Eventually I might also want my Dock to have different icons based on what desktop I'm using, but I figure that's even more difficult.

  • Material and accounting document

    Dear Friends,
Can you Explain When the Material Document and Accounding
created. How the boths are function in MM Area.
                       Please Explain Clearly.
    Regards,
    Rajan.

    Hello Rajan,
The material document is the documented 'proof' that goods movements have occurred for a Material in a Plant and a Storage Location. It has header data which affects to all items in the document and item data, which is specific for each line. The information that this document contains can hardly be changed (only some informatory fields like the texts can be changed in MB02). If data is wrong, the document must be canceled and re-posted again.
If, as a consequence of this goods movement, there is also a value change in the system, an accounting document is generated automatically to reflect the changes in accounting. This document is automatically posted since the warehouse clerk who registers the goods movement in the storage should not have information about prices and accounts, therefore, the process is automatized to avoid manual errors.
    I hope this helps,
    Esther

IPad 1 Safari crashes frequently. I went to many Apple stores in different countries and each Apple staff member had their own different opinions with no help. I had upgraded my iOS to 5.1.1 and the Safari crashing started about one year after the upgrade and some Apple staff blame this- but this started one year later after the iOS upgrade. Recently at the Apple Store in Vancouver an Apple staff reset my computer (erased everything and sent to iCloud to reset the iPad) and I hoped this would fix the problem. IPad Safari still crashes. Short of booking an appointment for taking it for repair to Apple technicians which will cost me money can anyone help me to fix this Safari crashing.

    Hi,
You might have a 3rd party plugin that isn't compatible with Safari 4.0.4. Go here for help...
Safari add-ons can cause performance issues or other situations
If you are using a USB hub, try disconnecting and restarting with just your keyboard and mouse connected.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Mac OS: Web Browser Quits Unexpectedly or Stops Responding
Also, you could download and install the 10.5.8 combo update (PowerPC) available here.
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_8_ComboUpdate
It contains fixes that might help. Then repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

The general rule is that the shipping address must be in the same country as the billing address of the credit card used to order. However, you can try changing the Print Products store in iPhoto's Advanced preference pane to Canada and try ordering again.

How do I access music from different countries? My account is in Australia and I want to purchase music in Franch

In order to buy from another country's iTunes Music Store, you must have either:
    a) a credit card with a billing address in that country, or
    b) a mailing address in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
This, BTW, is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice.
