I have redeemed a gift card and It shows my available credit however when I buy a song it is still charging my credit card. How do I make iTunes use my available credit?

Do you mean that the full price was charged to both ? For your credit card, it's a 'proper' charge and not a temporary store holding charge : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3702 ?

Itunes not using any CPU - freezes up for 5-10 seconds

I'm having a very odd problem. I've submitted this before and didn't get any replies at all, so perhaps it truly is a mystery (hello apple?).
Description:
iTunes will "Freeze" and the application as a whole becomes completely unresponsive; can't focus or bring up the application window, controls won't work, and audio playback halts for a random period of time. Usually 5 to 10 seconds, but at times much longer. It's happened up to a minute.
I don't believe this a hardware issue - my drives are 7500 low latency very clean and defragged drives. It's certainly not a CPU issue - at least not the way you might think.
The strangest part of this is that when iTunes freezes, it drops down to 0 CPU cycles. Nothing at all. Overall system performance remains incredibly low - CPU & hovers around 11%, with over 50% of memory available. Nothing is hammering the system in any way. iTunes just stops. Completely stops. Nothing else stops or slows down in any way.
This is ridiculously frustrating and makes iTunes completely unusable. I wish competition would get off their butts and come to some standards on other streaming technologies, as if it weren't for AirPlay I'd say goodbye forever to iTunes. Maybe their Windows programming will finally get to professional standards with iTunes 11. Here's hopoing!
Any suggestions or thoughts would be much appreciated!

iTunes 10.6.0.40
Plenty of HD space

Please try to uninstall completely iTunes and ALL its components by followint this Apple guide:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Also make sure you have the 64-bit version of iTunes installed when you reinstall.

How did you create the account ? If you followed the instructions on this page when creating it then you should have got the 'none' option : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
e.g. on a computer's iTunes, if currently signed into an account then you logged out of it, and you then found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price' :
And then clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup :
When I tried that process to create an account a few days ago I got the 'none' option on the payment details screen.
If you didn't use that process then you will need to create a new account using it (the instructions won't work with an existing account).

Did you follow these instructions? You have to. Also, you have to use an email addresss that you have not used with Apple before, it has to be a new acciount.

Why did my upgrade to Maverick result in my not being able to access my Documents in the previous format? Why did I not have the option to change my 'filing' system to use the new 'Tags'? Had reinstall 10.8.5 to access my Documents

Why did Maverick not enable me to access my Documents in the previous format (Grid) and when using the alternative I could not 'clik' to open them. The same applied when I tried to open documents from within my back up disc (LaCie). I had to reinstall 10.8.5 and back up from my LaCie (thankfully) to gain access to all my critical Documents? To deal with this I spent 3 and hlafg hours on telephone to Apple Support ( very helpful - but unable to resolve issues - then 3 hours in Apple Store (again very helpful but only able to assist by clearinng Maverick from my HD and reinstalling 10.8.5. Fortunately LaCie came to the resuce and I was able to back up Mac HD with all my documents but lost about one week of work....!!

10.8.5 is the lates ML edition. I use TM and also carbon copy cloner as my second backup. If I were you and you have a TM backup prior to Mavericks I would try another restore at bootup. You should erase your drive first in that process using disk utitlites and then use TM to put back you apps and files. The other choice is to do an internet recovery and then use TM to restore your apps and files. That should fix the permissions issue. I did the same thing and all was OK including getting my original iPhoto progam (9.4.3), iphoto11 and photos back.

Please don't tell me to retry, or re check my information because it is all correct, it basically says u cannot use thi account due to it being connected to another device... which is my old fault iphone, at the apple store.

I have never before heard of cards being locked to a single device... but your case has shown me that it happens.
If I am getting it right you try to log in to your account and it asks for billing information, and when you enter your card details it tells you that the card cannot be used. If that is the case then I'm sorry to say that my only suggestion would be to contact iTunes support directly; the contact form can be found in here: Apple - Support - iTunes Store - Contact Us

why is itunes not able to pick up certain photo folders from Iphoto. i'm tryin got sync certain iphoto album into my iphone 5 but itunes is only able to read certain photo albums. not sure why because photos were taken using the same camera 1 day apart.

i did but its still only picking up some of the photos. For eg, 1 folder had 147 pics but iTunes is only picking up 17. Can't seem to understand why. They were all taken on the same day using the same camera with the same settings.

Yes I had a problem! I upgraded from CS3 to Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Web Premium. I Installed but I could not register it to use it! ADOBE Software License Agreement kept on returning. The technical people had me delete a file and then it worked! But still no Acrobat! Please can you help!
