HT201363 I cannot find the answers to my security questions for Itunes and cannot figure out how to reset them

I cannot find the answers to my security questions for ITunes and cannot figure out how to reset the questions.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • HT4539 I cannot remember the answer to my security questions, so now I cannot purchase from iTunes

I cannot remember the answer to my security questions, so now I cannot purchase from the iTunes store. Incidentally, I remember my password and can connect on my iPad.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use.
If you also can't remember your iTunes account's password then you can try getting it reset via http://iforgot.apple.com or by contacting support via the HT5699 link above

  • HT201303 Where can I find the answers of my security question for apple ID?

I can not remember the answer to the questions to my apple ID

ditto.. and somebody suggested that you go under "password and security",but when I do, it asks me for the answers to the two questions before it will let me continue. Well, that's exactly my problem, I don't remember setting them up..

  • My iPad is suddenly asking me to answer security questions because "it is the first time I have purchased with this system" but I cannot remember the answers to my security questions as I didn't think I'd ever need them is there any way I could reset them

I pretty much asked it in the question, any help would be appreciated!

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

  • HT5312 I have forgotten the answers to my security questions for itunes. Is the a ways they can be emailed to me without going through these various menus (which is tedious by the way)

I need to retrieve my security questions without having to go through all the menus in here, I have an active account and keep getting shut down when trying to answer the questions. Can't Apple just email me my forgotton answers?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 on the page that you posted from should let you reset them : go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account, then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset - which is usually done by phone as you need to prove your id and that it's your account e.g. somebody else hasn't got your iTunes account password and is trying to purchase on your account.

Click here and search the article for '2 out of 3' without the quotes; in the case of forgotten answers, this generally involves either a message being sent to your rescue email address or contacting the iTunes Store staff directly.
