HT201363 iPhone 4s was factory reset at Apple Store, but iTunes account now doesn't exist? Help

4s had a reset at Apple Store, is now asking for my iTunes account which I entered but now doesn't exist?? Checked on the iPad but it's gone, I can't access on answer any security questions to reinstate the account, is there anyway to get this sorted or do I need to go back to Apple

I did not have my backup with me when my hard drive failed and was replaced at the Apple store. Now it will not download to my new hard drive. A message says that "the volume has the worng case sensitivity for a backup". How can I resore my data from the backup?

I've turned the phone off and on several times, but it won't progress in downloading the pictures. This happened the last time the phone was replaced and there was something I could do to get things moving, but I don't remember what?

Then you'll have to decide when you think it's hung and unlikely to restart. At that point, you'll probably have to reset it (by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release) and try restoring the backup again.
The only "solution" I've seen posted on photos that fail to restore from a backup that seems to have worked for others, is the on posted by ezjules here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. If you restore the backup again, you could give it a try and see if it works for you.

My CDMA Straight Talk iPhone 5 was defective and the Apple Store replaced it. But now I can't activate the new iPhone!

I have been to the Apple Store twice now, and my original iPhone has been replaced three times since Tuesday. Straight Talk says they are getting an error on their end when trying to activate and add the phone to my existing account. They are insistent that the phone I have is not a CDMA iPhone and that I need to go back to the Apple Store again to get another phone. My iPhone said that it is activated on CDMA US network, and shows bars and the 3G symbol; and yet my carrier doesn't show up on the top bar where it should be. The iPhone I have now is in fact CDMA with the part number A1429. Has anyone experienced a similar issue when they had their Straight Talk iPhone replaced?

My friend threw a Straight Talk SIM card in so now it is working on the GSM network. The service isn't as good but at least my phone works again.

Do you mean that you've reset your account's password ? If you do then have you logged out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logged back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it ?
Or do you mean something else ?

As I mentioned earlier, the main time when this becomes an issue is if you need to do something involving associating a computer with a particular AppleID. Careful management of your collection should minimize this situation.

So the first account is really "yours" and you are setting her up with her own account? It helps to know this because if both are "hers" then there isn't an issue with her having full access to both accounts. If in 10 years she moves 2000 miles away and she is pretty much independent then you may not want her to have full access to your AppleID just so she can authorize a device.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

Carriers lock phones. Only Carriers can unlock them. Contact the carrier to whom your phone is locked. See if they allow unlocking, and if they do, what the qualifications are.

Only the carrier (not Apple) can initiate the unlocking process. In the US, AT&T has not and will not unlock the iPhone for anyone for any reason.
If your network provider cannot or will not unlock your phone, then you phone cannot be unlocked. If you need an unlocked phone, sell yours and buy a factory unlocked phone.

I held down shift and clicked i tunes and created the library. I was told you can switch back and forth. I cannot find the old library and all of my playlists. Apple really needs a better way for families to manage their libraries and devices. This is such a pain in the butt!

No, as I stated in the post this is the first issue we've had with the phone. No, this was not a replacement phone, this is the same phone I bought from the apple store in December and had not been serviced by anyone, it did not have any issues until last week.
