When trying to download Mavericks it says it cannot be loaded onto this machine? Strange as I have just downloaded Pages, Numbers and Keynote...free? Thanks and Regards

You already have got OS X Mavericks installed (the Keynote, Pages and Numbers versions available in the Mac App Store are only compatible with OS X Mavericks).
You have got a Late 2013 MacBook Pro, which uses a special OS X Mavericks version that is not available in the Mac App Store. This is the reason why the Mac App Store is not compatible with OS X Mavericks even if you are using it. This will be fixed in OS X 10.9.1, when your Mac uses the same Mavericks version as all other Macs.

You need to move your iTunes library and other important data(contacts, calendars, pics, etc.) from your old computer to your new computer:

Once you do that, authorize your new computer(Store>Authorize this Computer), then backup your iPhone on your new computer, then restore your phone from that backup, followed by syncing your iTunes content back to your phone. The iTunes content currently on your phone will be erased when you first sync on your new computer, but if you move your entire library, you'll just sync the same content back to your phone. -

I am unable to download updates directly to iPad 2 , now trying to reinstall one from scratch but download keeps stopping and the restarting. Can you offer any advice, this happening when trying to download to laptop in itunes as well. Have tried to download on different broadband lines without success. Is this an apple problem due to high demand or something else?
Everything has worked well until about a month ago, up to date iOS 5 and itunes installed. Tried resetting numerous times, turned off all apps still no joy. Ipad was great but now feeling buying one was mistake. Also recent music purchase was useless and tunes would not play correctly.Since this is happening on the iPad and the computer, it might be worth a try to reboot your router - unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
Quit iTunes on the PC, reboot it and the iPad as well
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons -
Wonder if anyone can help? Have just bought a new Macbook pro and installed FCP7. I thought that I would get quicktime pro as standard but stuck with QTX. Downloaded QT7 but it won't let me install it. Says I can't do install as I already have QTX. Does FCP not come with QTpro or am I jsut being stupid. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. B

I have just bought a new iphone 4 as an upgrade to my iphone 3GS. How can I transfer all my apps including saved levels in games etc. and data and folders to the new iphone 4 and keep facetime etc on the new iphone 4. When I have done this for someone else they got all their data etc but lost the Face Time App and teh iphone 4 looked like the iphone 3 screen.

I have just bought a new Imac and it will not load my copy of FCE 3.5 as it says "PowerPC applications are no longer supported". So how do I get to use the version of FCE I am used to and have paid for ?
I do not have any experience with Final Cut, but if you have existing projects that you MUST access; then you are in need of a solution on your new iMac in Mountain Lion!
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. Purchase a used Mac that will run Snow Leopard (with the optional Rosetta installed) and continue to run FCE on that Mac (you can actually use Screen Sharing with a "headless" used Snow Leopard Mac Mini and use the 27" screen from your iMac to view and work FCE in the Mac Mini environment);
2. Upgrade to an Intel compatible version of FCE and hope it converts your existing projects to its newer format correctly. There is much debate that the newer version of Final Cut are eliminating many needed features; for example Final Cut Pro X vs. Final Cut Pro 6 -- many users are staying with version 6;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels and then install FCE in the Snow Leopard environment:

That's not a problem. You can connect multiple iPods to your computer at the same time, and each one appears separately in iTunes.
If this is the first time you are using iTunes 11.x, the sidebar (along left side of window) may not be visible. If so, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
Make sure you are using the USB cable that came with the shuffle, if your old shuffle is a different type (2nd gen). When connected, it should appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES. If you connect both shuffles at the same time, they should both appear under DEVICES.
If that does not happen, please post back. -
I am regularly getting a message "...cannot be played on this iPad" when trying to download podcasts while using a strong wifi connection.
I accidently deleted an episode that I wanted to save to listen to again and went to redownload it and got the message so the file and/or publisher aren't the issue.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me get my iPad to function correctly!I am getting the same issue!! I have found it only seems to do it on podcasts with explicit content like idiot abroad or frankie Boyle.

I have just bought a new Mac Pro after my old one died after nearly 10 years. I have most of my music backed up on CDs, but when i load them into iTunes they are only identified as Track 1, 2, etc. Can I transfer from my iPod and how?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

So, what do I do now to make this all right? I would like to be able to sync mine and my wife's iPhone to the computer. Should I not bother and just keep my back-up in the cloud and are there disadvantages to this? For my son's iPhone, I can let him back-up to the old computer, I would assume that would remain good and I would not have any issues. Should I erase the back-up on my new computer, erase the appss or whatever and start from scratch? Kind of not sure how to handle, please help. -

Do I need to download the up to date version of itunes on to laptop before I try to copy music library over to laptop or will itunes software automatically copy when I copy the library? I am not that knowledgeable IT wise but can manage slowly.

On my Toshiba Satellite P10-221, running WinXP, I used to be able to use Fn F5 to switch to my external display. Recently pressing Fn F5 brings up the same menu as always, but the only option is the LCD display. I used to have CRT and TV as options.

After keeping my phone on the charger all night, my phone began to function very slow this morning. After taking the battery out and in a couple times, the phone would no longer turn on. Now that the phone has turned on, it appears that the "n" and "
