hello
i have a macbook pro with mac os x 10.7.5.
i am trying to download and install mavericks, but when i press the "install app" it just thinks for a sec and then doesn't do anything.
is there a way to reinstall the app store or do a rerun to the 10.7.5 so it works or something?

I have the same problem. I click on the "Download" button, I see a bit of action in the top bar next to the right arrow key, then nothing.

I tried to download OS X Mavericks from the APPS store abd it was downloading ok. But after 3.4 GB of data transfer, internet connectivity was lost with message "an error has occurred". Tried to again initiate the download but now downloading is not taking place and I am getting continous error of "an error has occured". Please give procedure to resolve this issue. It said the application could not be downloaded and when I clicked RETRY, it popped up the same.

Trying to install Mavericks from the App store on my 2011 11" Macbook air, (wihch has more than 15GB free space). After clicking 'Install App', and entering the Apple ID password, I get 'unkonwn error'.
You can't use Safari to download iPad apps. Only use iTunes/App Store.

i am trying to download OS X Lion from the app store and it says it can not complete my purchase becuase it needs at least 2GB of space and over 2GB on my computer...any ideas??
That requirement is referring to the need for 2gB of RAM, not hard drive space.

It can't be downloaded anywhere else. It is a large file, 5.3 GB. Are you giving it time to download?

hello everyone! i have a new macbook pro and i want to download aperture. my app store says it is already installed (on my old macbook pro). how do i install aperture from the app store in this instance please?
Are yoy sure that Apeture is not in the Applications folder of the new system? If it is move it to the trash and the App Store will let you download Aperture from it.
You will need to make sure you use the same Apple ID you used to purchase it in the past.

I updated my iPad 2 OS to iOS 6.0..after that I am unable to download or update anything from the App Store. The MSG I get is "id not valid for US store. Go to Indian store for purchase"..never faced this problem earlier before the update to OS 6..help!!

Try searching with Spotlight. Click the magnifying glass icon top right corner of your screen.
If you can't locate the apps, you can re download without being charged again.

FCPX crashed and I reported it here. Tom Wolsky suggested I trash prefs, perform an fsck, reboot and redownload FCPX from the App store. The reboot was okay but Safari will not let me access the App Store to redownload FCP. I'm running 10.6.8 but the App Store icon is grayed out. I get a "Safari doesn't recognize addresses starting with macappstore."
How do I get to the App Store to get FCPX back? I'm using the Trial version now.How are you linking to the App Store from Safari? From this page?

Cannot download Final Cut Pro from the app store

I cannot download Final Cut Pro from the app store.
I says "Failed to download" and error has occurred

is it my Macbook?I had a problem way back in the olden days, i.e., FCPX 10.0.2, and finally gave up and called the Apple Store using a land-line phone.
Anyway, (this was a couple years ago), if I remember right, they passed me off to someone in the FCPX group and I got the App. However, this was not a really goo way to go because for many updates afterward, everytime I wanted to update I had to go thorugh the same ritual.
Finally, probably around 10.0.8, things got "fixed" and since then I've been able to go direct and download it from the App Store without having to make a phone call.
My suggestion would be to try calling the App Store. Maybe, if there is a "global problem" and they get a lot of calls, they will fix it.
Heck, maybe write a Knowlede Base (KB) article about it.

I have Snow leopard, 10.6.8 on my iMac, I just tried to install Lion from the App store, but during proces, the install stops after one minute saying: "software might be damaged". I downloaded the software again, same thing. What must I do to install Lion? I have still 487GB free.
Quit all other programs and open Disk Utility
Select your "MacintoshHD" drive on the left and indented and click Erase > Erase Free Space > Zero and let it complete.
Also run First Aid > Repair Disk and permisisons.
If Repair disk gives a error, you have a bigger problem, if repair permisisons fixes and completes, even if it fixes the same thing twice if you click it again, it's ok. Apple just changed things.
You should be able to download the file sucessfully this time, if not, take it to another location with better/faster internet.
