Update2: There is something very wrong with wireless on mountain lion recovery. I don't know what the problem is, but this link may explain:

Wireless recovery would start out with over 25 hours estimated and kept on failing. It turns out to be a two step process of downloading a few Mbytes then a 4Gbyte .dmg file, but I couldn't even download the Mbyte file. I bought the thunderbolt to gigabit ethernet adapter, plugged it in, restarted recovery and download of a little more than 4Gbytes took less than an hour. My limiting factor was probably comcast home internet rate of 12Mbps. The wi-fi wireless connection should be able to do over 100Mbps, so wireless shouldn't be much slower than wired, except wi-fi wireless is broken. Now that ML is installed and updated, wi-fi seems fine now, as I am using it right now, but I haven't tried downloading a big file yet.
Don't use wi-fi wireless for Mountain Lion recovery.

I recently downloaded a program and have now lost Firefox's "awesome bar" which has been replaced by the program's own search bar. How can I restore the "awesome bar" and get rid of the other search bar?

I recently downloaded Bearshare.com which then overrode my Firefox "awesome bar". Now when I enter a search item in the search box at the upper right of my screen, I'm automatically shunted to this new search bar where I have to re-enter my search item and click return before it will begin a search. Previously, the Firefox "awesome bar" opened automatically together with my home page and I had the choice of searching using it or the default search box at the upper right of my screen. I 'uninstalled' Bearshare but it now continues to come up when I search using the right hand top search box , forcing me to use it instead of the search box at the upper right of my screen. How do I get rid of it completely so that only the "awesome bar" appears as an extra tab when I open Firefox browser?

First, some clarification:
* The location bar (often called the "awesome bar") is the larger bar on the left that shows you the address of the page you are currently viewing. As you type in the location bar it searches your history and bookmarks for matches.
* The search bar is the smaller one on the right. It typically displays an icon of whichever search engine is currently selected and may display search suggestions as you type in it.
It sounds like you are referring to the search bar rather than the location bar. You can change search engines for the search bar by clicking on the icon on the left edge of the search bar and choosing a different one. You can also choose "Manage Search Engines" to remove ones you aren't interested in using.
It also sounds like Bearshare might have changed your homepage in Firefox. To restore that you will need to open the preferences menu (click Tools > Preferences), go to the General tab (first on the top left), and click "Restore to Default".

Yes i understand this but most electronics that fail, will fail during the very early stages of there life. It sounds like either the screen or one of it's associated components has failed again.
Of the many screens i have changed i have had three dead out of the box and two failed within the first week of operation.
They make them in huge numbers and work on a known failure rate for all screen panels large and small.

If you had backed up your iPad prior to deleting the Safari history, that history should be in the last backup.

I am deploying Adobe Reader throguh SCCM 2012. I currently have Adobe Reader setup as a package where there are two programs: The Adober Reader XI MSI and the 11.0.6 msp update file. I have it setup to where on new deployments the Reader XI MSI installs first then installs the msp update file. I now am trying to convert this to an application and I have one issue. When you setup an application, you have to setup a clause to indicate the presence of the application. I have the clause setup already for Adobe Reader 11.0 MSI to install but I cannot find any file or registry key that would list the version number to point the application to know if that version of Adobe Reader has been installed on the computer or not. If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

You need to use separate iCloud accounts. This will mean that you can both have your own separate contracts and calendars and put an end to them being deleted by each other.
Whether or not you have a separate iTunes account, is up to you. If you have a separate iTunes accounts you will not be able to access the music, books, apps that have been purchased by the other. This may be exactly what you want, but it also means that you both may end up purchasing the same item.

I called Apple tech support. The device turns out to be a WiFi extender. I never would have guessed that the extender would show up on the list since I wouldn't think of it as an airplay device, and in the list, it shows a little speaker icon. In the process of talking with Apple, I gained a greater understanding of how airplay works.
It turns out that there is no stored list of devices in a file on the mac, or anywhere else. I have seen a lot of traffic on the web from people trying to modify this list, but there isn't one. iTunes, and other devices simply poll the network for airplay devices from time to time.

If you are hosting with Libsyn or most any other "Podcast" host you should be ok.

I have tried the reset in restore mode as well as the DFU? mode and it still will not work. I have the latest version of iTunes on my Mac. My error code was 2002. I also tried it on my laptop (windows 8.1) and none of the above worked. My error code on my laptop was 02. The phone is through Verizon and it has absolutely no damage. It was working fine up until this and I have been trying to fix it for 2 days. Please help! I am unsure of what version the phone was currently running on before this because I have another iphone that's my primary phone and have not used this one in about a month. I do not believe it was updated to IOS 7.

Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. Follow the steps in the article below for the specific error messages you have been receiving. If after following all steps the issue remains book an appointment at a local Apple Retail Store to have the iPhone evaluated.
