And related problem: Getting told can not connect to network when trying to sign on with Apple ID to launch Facetime and Messages.
I've restarted several times. If I restore from backup, unfortunately the backup was done after iOS7 downloaded. Now, am I wrong that "restore as new" will essentially wipe me out? If so, and having backup, you're saying essentially start over and then backup?

There's a small vocabulary issue here.
"Reset" means a specific action, which does not involve iTunes at all. You reset your iPhone by holding the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. You could try that - it's risk free - but probably would not work.
"Restore" (not reset) is something you do using iTunes. Plug your iPhone into iTunes on your computer (current version: 11.1.3). Let it sync. Then choose "Restore" from the iPhone's summary tab in iTunes. -
Not receiving some emails from specific sender.
Hi.I just started getting the problem of not receiving some emails. I have not had this problem with the sender until yesterday. My sender is sending me emails from gmail, some with attachments and some without, to my comcast email and it's not getting through. It is just one specific sender that I know of. I narrowed it down to my comcast account because I had the sender send myself the email to my comcast address and cc me on my gmail address. I received it on my gmail account but not my comcast account. I use Outlook for comcast but I even checked the webmail on comcast with nothing there. I checked the spam folder also and it's not there. Please help, these are important emails. Thank you.
Same issue, as far as I know it is just 1 person. But I have no way of knowing. I also had them CC my Gmail and it went through to Gmail but not my comcast. I then had them use a secondary comcast email and it didn't go through. Comcast seems to be blocking this person for some unexplained reason. It's frustrating and so far has cost me $525 because they thought I was ignoring them. They are using my Gmail until I get it straightened out, so the financial loss shouldn't increase, I just hope others aren't having the same problem and I don't know about it.

I'm having the same problem and it's iPhone users whose texts I'm not receiving. Initially I thought it was just texts initiated by a friend, but I just found out its also some in response to my text. I've known about the problem for a week now. When I posted about it, the one response said it was the other person's phone issue and not mine, but now I'm not convinced since it's 3 people having trouble with it.

my google voice # was ported over to my droid x2 phone and i am recieving calls just fine but i am not getting any type of text messages from friends. where are they going and how do i get them to come over to me?
Do you mean that your ported your Verizon Wireless number to Google Voice? If so, it may take a few days for the port to complete and text routing to happen correctly. If you still aren't getting messages after a few days, you'll want to contact Google and Verizon to make sure the port happened properly. The messages MAY be showing up in your online Google account, and you could view them there, but it's not likely until the routing is corrected.
Or just that you directed your Google Voice number to ring on your Droid X2? If so, you need to set up an application on your phone to recieve the messages. Do you have the Google Voice app on your phone? You should be able to read the messages in your online Google Voice account, and find instructions there to set it up on your phone. -

I too am having this problem with texts from a frequently texted friend. Her texts will now no longer open and I can't text her either. It looks like I have to delete her whole thread which goes right back to when I bought the phone which I don't really want to do. And no, she's not on an iphone, just cheap Nokia which she's had for years.

User is not receiving some email from outside of our network.
My company runs a 2010 exchange server in house and we have Microsoft Office 2010 running on all systems. Recently one of the executives at my company has been having trouble with receiving email. As far as I can tell the issue is just related to him.
He still receives a bulk of his email, I've been sending him multiple test messages from different outside emails and he gets every single one of those, but there are times when he doesn't receive emails from certain people. He has no filters/rules set up
for him in outlook or in our server. I'm not convinced the issue is with our server or outlook. We have a barracuda spam firewall on our network and when I look through it's message log, the emails that he needs to receive are not even showing up. It would
show up even if it was blocked. This means that they don't even touch our network. This morning it happened again and the executive had the other guy send me the email and I received it no problem and I could see it on our firewall message log, but not the
one he had sent the executive earlier in the morning. I need to come up with some kind of solution or work around, or even just different ways to trouble shoot the issue. Any input would be appreciated.All the clues indicate this is not the problem on recipient Server/Client. We are out of control for the message item even doesn't touch our domain. Maybe we need to contact ISP or resolve the issue on Sender site.

When sending a text via normal texting ( I turn my mobile data off whilst out and not on WiFi so I am not using IMessage ) I can send the message without a problem. However when the text reaches the person ive sent it to and they reply,I don't always receive the text they have replied with. I have tried doing simple things like turning the mobile data on and off again and nothing has changed,still not receiving all the texts I get sent. Any idea why this could be happening?
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
If the issues continue, you may need to consider restoring as new. -
Verizon is my internet provider and about a month ago I stopped receiving some emails from comcast customers. Is there a fix for this???

Since I downloaded Adobe Reader 11.0.07 I have been totally unable to print any PDF files using my Dell 1720 laser printer - I just get a blinking "error" light on the printer, no other error messages . I never had a problem printing PDF files before downloading the new Reader version. Suggestions? Thank you.

My husband and I both have Iphone 4's. I do not receive any text messages that he sends me. He gets mine though. He sends texts to other iphone users and they get them. I get text messages from other phones including iphones. Please help.
Both of yall need to go to settings, meassages, send and recieve, scroll down to start new conversation from, and make sure you have different email addresses with a check mark beside it. Right now sounds like they are the same email addresses.

Just got the Samsung Galaxy s5 and am very frustrated that I am not receiving text messages that were supposedly sent to me. Also, it says 'sent' but it is never delivered. Or it might get delivered but mine still just shows being sent. I re-started that phone and disabled my texting on my old iphone as some have suggested. I'm ready to go back to the iphone just because of this issue. Please fix this Verizon!
I'll tell you it is some marketing coup that a problem Apple has created and has control over is being passed off on Verizon.
This problem is the result of you migrating from iMessage, a messaging platform controlled completely by Apple, back to a more mainstream messaging system of SMS/MMS. Verizon has no control over other iPhones "thinking" you are still using iMessage. NOTHING Verizon can do will fix this problem.
Try texting the word "stop" to 48369. Others have reported this has worked. Doing this should de-register your number with the iMessage system. You should receive a confirmation reply. It may take a day or 2 for other iPhones to completely register that your number is no longer associated with iMessage. You can also try calling Apple support and let them know you are not receiving messages from iPhone users after switching to an android phone from an iPhone. -

How do you block or stop receiving a group message from a specific thread of people, without disabling all group messaging? I got put on a thread of 10 people and can't stop receiving all the messages. I'd still like to keep group messaging enabled though as there are other group messages I use.
ThanksAs a recipient in the thread, you have no control about receiving messages. The person that starts the thread is the only one in control, as they add people to the post. You need to ask all of the people in the thread to delete the thread and use a different one, and ask the starter not to add you to a group message.
