HT201365 I removed/erased my phone from icloud - but I am still required to enter my apple id and password

I restored my iphone 4 and as I was about to activate it - it required my apple id and password. I can see that it is my apple id - so i entered the data. However I keep on receiving a message saying [ "my e-mail" cannot be used to unlock this iPhone.]
I then checked if the phone is still on the list of my devices in "Find My Phone" - via icloud.com website. The phone that I was trying to activate was not there.
I cannot seem to get this right - please let me know - if you know the solution.

I guess that the only problem is, that the iphone is already connected / related (or whatever... I´m german) to an apple ID. and if he could go in the ITUNES account, he/they could get rid of that by DISCONNECTING

The Help page you came here from gives you all the information; without the previous owner's password or his removing the phone from his list of devices you cannot proceed and I'm afraid your phone is useless.

What different Apple ID? Yours? Your friends? Your dogs... ? I think we are going to need more information. You're probably best setting up the phone as a new phone and restoring from iCloud later on.

I have forgotten my email password, and it's currently saved on the phone. I don't wanna change it because I have saved on other devises as well.

You need the owner of the account to remove the iPhone from their Apple ID, there is no way around this sorry.

To enable iCloud on your Windows PC,
first set up iCloud on your other (Apple) devices,
then install the iCloud Control Panel for Windows...

If you don't have the Apple ID and password, how did you get Mountain Liomn in the first place? Without the Apple ID and password, you'll need to buy it to download it.

While downloading the new apple software to my I-phone , a prompt asked me to input my "Apple ID and password", BUT the option to by-pass and continue was also offfered, so I by-passed and did not enter my Apple ID or password because I had forgotten it temporarily and wished to continue the lengthy time to download.

Hi Lrwill,
If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?

HT1751 I am trying to retrieve songs from ICloud but its not letting me I've tried logging in and it says my email is not valid even after i make an account

I have 5th gen Ipod Nano and I have recently bought a new computer and have been syncing all of my music onto itunes.But when I try to login I get locked out. I have tried using ICloud but I still get locked out. So I created a new Apple ID, I have been forced by ICloud to do this many times in the past and eventually the ICLOUD icon will appear and I can sync all my music I have purchased on itunes in the past. I as a customer not only find this process very aggravating but also feel its a waste of my time and money that I have spent purchasing the songs because in a matter of weeks ICloud will log me out.When trying to log back in it will reject my email and password saying its not a valid account when I have already verified the account. I have also experienced problems with the ipod itself, sometimes the Itunes won’t show that the Ipod is connected when it is or not syncing my music and also not allowing anymore songs to be put on it when it says it has not all the storage has been used up. I have tried uninstalling Itunes and then reinstalling it. The problem seems fixed for a while and then it starts again. I have had to deal with this problem for months now. I find this very frustrating. I don’t see the point in having an Apple ID or password when nobody but me accesses it on itunes. It would make more sense to have an option that will keep account logged in. I also find that your website does not offer any help when encountering this problem.The only options I have online are to login with my apple ID and change my name,email address or password. This also adds to my frustration with Apple. I have tried to turn ICloud on by following your instructions at help.apple.com but still find that the problem isn’t solved. I have looked on your site to see if I have an up to date Itunes downloaded and that ICloud installed correctly and I did. But still cant access my account or retrieve any of the music. You must initiallly activate iCloud from an IOS device or a Mac. You cannot inititally activated from a PC.

I cannot log into systems preferences for icloud on my imac. icloud works on all devices including the imac, but I get the window "You can't sign in at this time" when using system preferences on the imac. I am using mountain lion, but it didn't work on lion either. Help

You may wish to try the following:
1. Sign out of your account
(If you are unable to do this because System Preferences has frozen, Force Quit System Preferences and try again)
2. When prompted, opt to delete, contacts, calendars etc from your Mac.
(You are only deleting this data from your Mac, not from iCloud, the data will be reinstated when you log back in. If you need to check that the data is in iCloud before deleting it go to iCloud.com and check each section for data)
3. Having logged out, check that the iCloud accounts along with their data have disappeared from the Mail, Address Book and iCal Applications.
(If necessary, delete the iCloud accounts from each of these application separately from each Applications Preferences)
4. At this point it may be worth trying to log into iCloud from the System Preferences iCloud settings again, if this works, all well and good, if it doesn't continue to step 5.
5. Open your User Library folder in the Finder. (When in the Finder, go to the Go menu, hold down the option key (alt) and choose Library when it appears in the Go menu)
6. Navigate to Library > Application Support > iCloud and drag the iCloud folder to your desktop. (This action only copies the folder and will provide you with a back up)
7. Select the iCloud folder again in Library > Application Support and drag it to the trash, enter your administrators password when prompted.
8. Restart your computer.
9. You should now be able to enter your ID and Password in system Preferences > iCloud and log into your account. Check the services you wish to use and once you are satisfied it's working as it should, trashh the iCloud folder you copied to your desktop earlier.

Downloaded song from icloud but song missing still

Bought a song on iphone. Acted like it downloaded. It does NOT show in music app on iphone. Song DOES show as a purchased song on icloud. It allows me to redownload the song and acts like it is successful but the song never shows in music app. Tried rebooting but it still acts the same. Multiple attempts at downloads of the same song but the song never shows in music app. All other music does show in music app.

Try redownloading it in iTunes and syncing it to your phone.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If you want to get content from your iPad to you iMac, there are a few things to try.
First check to the iPad to see if it is syncing with iCloud. To do this, go to Calendar app and click the Calendars button in the upper left hand corner. If it says iCloud, then all you need is to enable iCloud on your iMac if you are running 10.7 Lion or later. That preferences is System Preferences > iCloud, if you are
