I've just updated my Itunes to the newest update (iso7 I think) and now my itunes won't even open. It just jumps 2-3 times on my dock then doesn't open. I have no idea what to do , please help!
Open Finder. Go to the "Go" menu in the menu bar. Press and hold Control and click on Library. Go to "Preferences". Find a file named, "com.apple.iTunes.plist" and delete that file. This won't delete your iTunes content. It will reset iTunes. Try it again.

Ever since I updated my system to 10.9 and updated the numbers, iphoto, imovie, pages etc I have been unable to open my numbers documents. I keep getting a message I need to update. My computer shows I did. Whats happening?
I was opening my documents from the document folder on my dock and that's when I couldn't open them. I also couldn't open them from the old icon for numbers on my dock. I even couldn't open from finder. After recieiving your message I did use the Applications to open numbers and it did work. I also had one document set with a password and I still had problems opening it. Once I got it open I removed the password temporairly and it opens now from the document folder like it used to before. Oh yes, I forgot to mention I removed the old Numbers icon from the dock. Then I dragged the icon from the Applications folder onto my doc and all seems fine.
Thank you for your help, I just don't know why these things just don't update automatically from Apple. Ever since using Apple products these past 3 1/2 years I've decided no more Window's computers. Please to Apple.....is there a way they can take care of these updates beforehand? -

Since the last software update, Safari will not save bookmarks history.
Prefs. are set correctly, Cache has been dumped, reset done, appropriate .plist trashed, and finally an uninstall and clean install done
with 5.1.1 download from the Apple support site.
The problem still exists, making me very suspicious that this is a bug.

I go to settings and switch "Automatic time" off and then back on. It works for a while, but then just goes back to being off. I've tried manually setting the time, but it just goes back to what it was before. If I send a text, it sends and then disapears. I can't see what I wrote! I went in to Apple to try and get it fixed, but they just restored my phone. It's still not working. Please help!
It's not hacker or a virus. You are experiencing what a number of users of iOS 5 are experiencing now - sluggish or less than perfect iPad performance. It seems that for some of us - memory management has gotten a little out of whack with this most recent update. Some of the basic troubleshooting steps that you can try are ....
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close apps in the recents tray. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If you have Safari crashing issues - Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
None of these steps should be necessary as part of your daily routine - the iOS is supposed to handle all of this without any user input. Once again - for some of us - the iOS is letting us down.
Until Apple releases another update that resolves this issue for the "few" that suffer, keep these steps in mind and use them as needed. -
My Iphone 5 and Itunes no longer sync after I updated my IOS to 7.1 I have done multiple things to troubleshoot. Uninstalled drivers, reinstalled drivers, uninstalled Itunes, reinstalled Itunes, etc.. It will not show my Iphone in Itunes anymore and will not sync.

Deauthorizing all is definitely the way to go. You will just need to authorize your computer again after, as well as your husband's.

I have an Apple Trackpad that shows that it is connected with Bluetooth but it is not responding. I've tried restarting the computer, disconnecting and reconnecting and also turning the trackpad on and off but it simply does not respond. Does anyone have any idea on what is going on here?
There are reports of similar behavour but generally it is due to battery connections. Is the indicator light working steadily or does it blink or even not function. Here is the Apple document dealing with some of the problems.

Is your machine within the guarantee period or under Apple care. If so, return it to any apple retailer for examination and possible replacement. -
ok so I went to buy a an album on iTunes that I havnt used on the device before. It said I needed to do clarification questions but I cannot remember the answers to them. When I go to reset the questions it sends to an email that is now non existant. It wont let me change it what so ever, I cannot find it anywhere to delete or change. Please help

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. Ever since the new update in iMovie all my audio seems to be there ,but when I get in the middle of the video the audio is off. Help?
I think the problem is that the iPod got set to Manually manage music and videos. It needs to be set up for automatic syncing again. Just unchecking that Manually manage music and videos setting does not do it.
In iTunes 12, select the iPod in iTunes (using the device button), so that you see the iPod's "management" screen. In the sidebar (along left side of screen), there are two headings (Settings and On My Device). Under Settings, click on Music. To the right, you see the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box at the top for Sync Music. That turns ON automatic syncing for music. Below that, choose the option to sync Entire music library (assuming your music library fits completely on your iPod). Otherwise, you can choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres and make your selections below. Then click Apply. -
Ever since the last two updates of iOS 6 I have a blank email screen
Ever since the last two updates I have a lank email screen. I've tried a warm reboot and a cold boot but with no results. I have nothing. Also the battery drains very quickly now. It used to last for two days quite easily and now it barely makes it thru the day and I've actually been using it less. In the time I've been composing this post, it's drained 6%. Additionally, there is considerable lag when using other functions such as photos. I have a 64GB iPad and no where near capacity so that shouldn't be an issue. We are, BTW, down 8% of battery function. Just so frustrating to have a wonderful piece of technology turn into crap.
Prior to the last two updates, it was functioning normally. What's the fix? Please advise. And don't suggest a reboot or complete shutdown because I've tried that.

PS Down 10% battery capacityBackup your ipad and then restore it as a new iPad with iTunes on your computer. Check to see if battery use has returned to normal. If it has not then your pad may have a hardware problem. If so contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store.
If it now functions normally after the restore as new then restore it from the backup you made previously and continue to monitor battery usage. -
Since the new iTunes update 11.3, right after that I couldn't connect my iPod nano 7th G to iTunes. It kept showing me that it couldn't find my ipod, that I had to reinstall iTunes. I did that and still. And now I can't connect my iPhone 5 to iTunes to sync my music. Can anyone please help me ?

Ever since the last iTunes update, my cloud movies and TV purchases all vanished from my iTunes library. I go to Settings>Store>Show Cloud Purchases, but Show Cloud Purchases isn't there. So, I go to the store, then click on purchases, and I download anything from my iTunes account. Now, I go to Settings>Store>Show Cloud Purchases, and it is back. I check the box, and my cloud purchases are again back in iTunes.
OK, I wouldn't bother posting this, but a day or so later, it all happens again. Cloud purchases gone, no option to fix in the Settings>Store menu until I go to the store and download something again.
How do I get iTunes for Windows to keep showing my cloud purchases without having to do this silly work-around every day or two?Audiobooks are not avaiable for redownload from iTunes, though I suspect you may find they are still on your computer even if not currently listed in your library. This may help...
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
Would you mind telling me which anti-virus package you use? It may be that it is disturbing iTunes when it tries to write out the fresh database, as it does after almost any activity with your library. I'm noticing more of this type of problem than usual and trying to see if there is any pattern. It may help to prevent a repeat of the problem if you look at the advanced options for your AV package and see if you can find a way to exclude the iTunes folder from any real-time scanning process.
