Looks like the lens in the back has a film over it. It is blurry!

Does it happen with pictures you take with the front-facing and the back-facing camera? Or just one of them?

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

So, whenever I try to plug in my IPod I get nothing, I get the sounds of it being synced, but I open ITunes and I have nothing. When I access my IPod 5th gen, I get a message asking me to "trust this computer" this just recently became a problem for me and right about now I don't even know what to do. I'm having this same problem. I AM NOT HAPPY, APPLE!!! Sure glad I upgraded from a 4th Gen iPod Touch to this iPod 5th Gen that I cannot get recognized in iTunes. Jeez - for as much money as people pay for these products, it sure would be nice if they worked propelry...

Has anyone ever had a problem with their iphone 4 not syncing and/or writing a backup file? Itunes locks up when i attempt a sync as well as when I transfer my purchases from my phone to Itunes. I'm running Itunes 10.4.1 on iOS 4.3.5. All of this is running on an 8 year old hp pavillian laptop running XP Pro that is fully updated. Could my phone have a bug or a hardware problem. Are there any known problems with iOS 4.3.5? Pretty frustrating problem so I'm hoping that someone has heard of this and can offer some suggestions on a solution. Thanks a bunch.

This happened to me a few years back, and several other iPhone users in my neighborhood, and after a while on the phone with AT&T they figured out that a technician had recently adjusted the receiver/sender on the tower and it was slightly off. They sent them back up and I actually had a better signal after than I did before it went out.
I would call AT&T and explain the issue you are having and see if they can fix it.
If you never had service there then like wjosten said it's probably just a bad zone.
Hope you get it sussed out.

IPad 3 freezes after upgrade to 8.0. Never ever had a problem with 7, at all. want to throw the stupid thing out.

After upgrading from 7 to 8 my iPad 3 will freeze using email, safari, games. I never ever had a problem before this upgrade. Have done all the temporary suggestions but nothing is a permanent and will come right back. I am so sorry that I upgraded, can not go back. I really want to thank the IOS guys for screwing everything up. Seems like old times with the Microsoft Tech guys. I have no problem with my iPhone 6 Plus phone.

It seems to be caused by roboform 7.5.1. I upgraded to the latest version of robo and it's working now. Sorry mozilla, not your fault.. very frustrated.

Has anyone ever had a problem with their screen going all "choppy" for lack of a better word. It happens when I go from one window to the next and they sort of mesh together.

In addition to doing this today my mouse went all crazy and it was like I had no control over it. Once I restarted my computer it was fine. I took it into the genius bar a few weeks ago, but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. If anyone has experienced something similar OR has any idea what in the world might be causing this please let me know!

I'm getting tired of people who supposedly know what

Thanks for the suggestion... but I think my first question would be why these parameters would need re-setting? This is a new machine... It has never been shut down hard. It is used at most 10 hours per week... mostly using Office 2004 for MAC. I need to figure this out as I will soon need it as a Cs2/CS3 - Aperture workhorse.
I too agree that it is best not to use a sledge when a scalpel is needed... but as a novice to the MAC world I may have been misled by Apple support. I seems to have fixed the symptoms ( some) but appears NOT to have addressed the cause... which is what I am after.
Would TechTool Pro detect a bad HD or RAM?

Windows.old Folders ... Have You Ever Had A Use For Them?

That you know of. What if the old OS has a virus in it?
As I've said earlier - nuke it just to be safe.

Has anyone ever needed the Windows.old folders created when an OS is re-loaded or a different OS is loaded on a machine containing an existing OS?
Deleting them can free up Gigs of space and I do it when I have had to re-load an OS or have upgraded an existing OS.
Now, for a secondary question. I have a machine that has this Windows.old folder that I cannot delete. I have tried while logging into the machine as the Domain Admin and again as the machine local Admin. Each time I am being told I don't have the sufficient permissions to delete the folder. I have never had this issue happen before. The Windows.old folder is on a Windows Server 2012 R2 machine. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Have you ever had Compressor go missing??

Tried reinstalling FCP and tried the fixes listed re: background process. I cannot get Compressor to open while in FCP. Has this happened to anyone else?

That's interesting because if you followed Apple's instructions to the letter and ended with that result it could mean that you have an improper mix of software components on your system. Therefore, somehow you've ended up with a set of software that is not internally consistent. What I mean (by example) is that if component A requires version 1.1 of component B your system may actually have version 1.0 of component B. It's not only the major versions of FCP and Compressor that need to be matched, it's also lots of smaller files and components that make up the entire FCP/Compressor package.
I suppose that this problem could happen if an installation or update failed, or if someone manually installed or removed a component that was not the correct match to your existing system. Or, it could even be caused by some third piece of software that was installed over your existing setup.
I can't suggest any way to resolve such a problem (other than with a complete or clean reinstallation of all of your software) and frankly there is no certainty that what I've described is even the cause of your problem (I'm only making a guess at what could be wrong).
I'd suggest that you look in your console and system logs to see if there are any error messages or warnings that might hint at what could be going wrong. You can view these logs by going to the Apple menu and selecting "About This Mac" and then "More Info..." This will bring up the System Profiler and then under the left-hand column ("Contents") go down to "Software" and select "Logs."
You will likely find a lot of messages in both of these logs, even some warnings that have nothing to do with your particular problem. Just scan through the information looking for anything that seems related to Compressor, FCP, Qmaster, QuickTime, or any warning about a missing or incompatible component that could be related to the above.

I purchased a gently used ipod 4g from eBay. I was pretty thrilled with it. It was still new enough to have some limited warranty time left. Dec 23. I experimented with different apps for a couple of days. I had to recharged it once. No problem. I purchased a gel case with a screen protector, so it didn't get it scratched, or beat up. I set it up and it was looking pretty nice. It was a clear gel case so it didn't alter the look at all. I installed some more apps and read some ipod tutorials. I installed mo gv app and found I had an iphone 4 with a free cell phone contract. I needed a second charge. I plugged it into my wall outlet adapter.. After 4 hours nothing. I changed the wall outlet. After 4 hours nothing. I thought I was having a cord problem because my ipod would neither charge nor mount as a flash drive on my computer usb port. I googled ipod trouble shooting and was advised to do the things that I had done & 1)reset it, and if that didn't work 2)buy a new cord. If that didn't work, use the apple limited warranty and get them to fix or replace. I did 1) and 2). Nothing. I was very desperate and getting ready to send it back to apple. Then it struck me that the only thing that had changed physically to the ipod since I last charged was putting on the case. I wondered if the case was interfering in some way. I took it off and put on the cord and plugged into the old wall adapter outlet. This worked, now my ipod is charged. I also found that I could charge with the case on if I pulled the front of it up a little before putting on the cord. Problem fixed.
I guess I am writing this hoping it might save someone else the aggravation of sending an ipod to get if fixed only to be told there is nothing friggen wrong with it. Maybe this should be added to the online troubleshooters?.

This happened to me.
You need to use Expresslane to contact iTunes support to regain access to your account ASAP.

HT1657 Have you ever had the rented movie frozen have way?

It's happened to me 5 times. I rent a movie from itnes store and when I'm half way watching the movie freezes and I can't finish watching. Everytime I contact the apple support they reimburse me but I never get to watch the whole movie and they never say why this happens. They say the checked the quality of teh video and that it is safe to rent it again but I did it once and the same thing happened so nowwhen I get reimbursed for a frozen movi I don't rent it again. And every time I'm going to rent a new mivie I'm always hesitant the same thing is going to happen. Has anybody had the same problem'

I had to export from an other environment a same DBLink that worked and import it... Only way I found... :-(

Have you ever had video, but no audio in FCP?

I had a friend digitize footage(as uncompressed 8bit) for me on his mac at work. When I import the clips into FCP there is video, but no audio. Audio does indeed exist because you can here it if the clips are opened in Quicktime. Any ideas on getting the audio to play?

Welcome to the forum!
What codec is the clip? If its a muxed MPEG clip, you'll need to demux/convert it to an editable format prior to importing into your FCP project.
To find out what codec was used to make the clip, open it in QT and hit Command j, then click on 'Video Track' to see the specs.
