HT201401 My Iphone is on silent and i cannot get it off

My I Phone is on silent mode i  cannot get it turned off

Go to Settings-General-Accessibility scroll to the very bottom and turn on AssistiveTouch. In the top left corner of your screen a black box with a circle will appear. Select it then select device. A menu will pop up and on the right will be a selection for Mute/Unmute. You can then go back and turn off AssistiveTouch and the setting will remain applied.
