After updating my iPhone4 to iOS6 my speakers do not work. The Apple store after troubleshooting said that none of the speakers they sell will work with iOS6. Does anyone have any suggestions for obtaining speakers which will work with iOS6?
That's a bunch of hogwash. My 4S is running iOS 6 and works with all my external speakers, both at home and at work.

When trying to setup Match with Itunes I get error message 4001. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? I am on the most current version of Mountain Lion and I have upgraded to the latest version of iTunes. Error message occurs every time I try to setup match.

Hi, I recently updated from Lion. I had 2 folders on my "Favorites" side dock in finder and they seem to be lost, I've tried searching on "all my fles" and "This Mac" and no luck. I've tried looking for the root folder and I couldn't find that either. Does anyone have any suggestions? PLease and THank you!

Short answer:
Does a budget help without a spec? Really would like some idea of what the costs of this kind of development are - e.g. £xxx ish per day - and how long it takes, roughly, to build a database driven application (probably about 25 tables in the DB). If we could get a fully functioning system with all the bells and whistles for £25000 I think we'd be happy.
Long answer:
The application will be used in-house to manage our estate agency (people, properties, viewings, etc), integrating with our web CMS and possibly iCal and Mail. It would need to support multiple simultaneous users and therefore use a database on a local server (performance is key, and one of the reasons we think we don't want a web app).
No idea what this kind of development costs, but I'd estimate 2 months development for the first, very basic version of the software, then ongoing development to add and refine features probably over the next several years.
Perhaps you could give me a better idea of costs for a simple database driven application taking 2 months ish to build? -

I'm using Freehand 8. I believe there was a patch software to take it to 8.0.1b but the Adobe site link page is no longer available, although Adobe support does mention how to install it.

I spent the last two weeks converting old FreeHand3 and 5 files. FreeHand 8 is THE version for opening old files as early as FH3. Since FreeHandMX opens FH8, all those old files are now updated in FHMX and AI-CC formats. Cool. -

It would actually try to restart for about 10-15 seconds but would quit and then shut down. Tried using P_R_Command_Options but that too failed and again it just shut down. Tried using D at startup which ran a test of the hard drive. No issues there which tells me there's a software problem.

Reformatting is not a Recovery Aid. When Disk Utility suggests reformatting, it is because it considers your drive unsalvageable. Yes, you lose all the data on the drive when you reformat.
And yes, Mac OS X Extended, journaled is the method you will need for a Mac OS X Boot drive.
You should also consider buying a replacement drive to have on hand the next time this internal drive gives you the slightest bit of trouble. Possibly an external enclosure to put it in as well. and it would not hurt to go ahead and Install Mac OS X on it and try booting from it, to make sure it is ready.
And make sure your Backups are current, as the next time that internal drive screws up you may get no warning whatsoever. -
My iphone5 itunes playlist seems to have a mind of it's own, after selecting a song to play it will randomly flash through songs on my playlist without stopping. I've rebooting, and restored my iphone with no results. does anyone know how to stop this from happening? also I am having trouble syncing songs from my library on my computer to my iphone. the songs so up on my playlist on the computer, but will not synch over to my iphone5. I received instructions to install Foxfire in order to sync Foxfire with a database. My instructions say once I have installed Foxfire (which I have done), I am now supposed to click "Restart Foxfire" I do not see an option to click "Restart Foxfire" - does anyone know where that option can be found in Foxfire?

I just installed ios7 on my iPhone 4s. It seems to be working fine but all of the apps I had previously installed are gone. They show up in my app store as purchased, but the shortcuts are gone. Does anyone know how to get the shortcuts back? Thanks!
I updated via my iPhone 4s. The apps were on my iPhone 4s. That's all the information that I have. The update to ios7 seems to have gone smoothly - everything else is working, phone texting, email, internet, etc. But all of the apps I had installed over the past year are no longer showing up as shortcuts. No facebook, no twitter, no espn, etc. They are all still listed in my app store as purchased, but the shortcuts and my folders are gone. Thanks.

when I'm on an app, on iso7.1 it will now show the "iPad/iphone" sign - the time - and the battery whilst running in an app. does anyone know how to get rid of that as its effecting the games i play.
If you can hide the status bar, it would be an option inside the app. I have one or two apps where that is an option but in most apps it is not.

My i-pad 2 keyboard will not pop up with trying to sign into a web site or Facebook.. Does anyone know how to get it to come up?
Make sure you click in the text box for username and password to bring up the keyboard.
Try powering off your iPad by holding the power button and sliding the red slider when it appears, or try resetting your iPad by holding the power and home buttons together until the apple logo appears.
I would also highly recommend an app for facebook, it's called MyPad. -
The user profile my appleTV was synced on my computer to no longer works (corrupt). My Apple TV is still synced to that profile and all of my recent purchases are going to that username. Does anyone know how to get all of the purchased items back and to the new user (same computer)? I created a new user on my computer and moved the itunes folder to the desktop but never changed the path to which the apple synced to. Now I can only see old items I purchased before the user profile went bad. PLease help!
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Changing the library the Apple TV is synced with will delete all synced content from the Apple TV, but it won't delete purchased content.
You should be able to change the library, resync any content you want and transfer your purchases back to the new library. -

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.
