When my iphone4 is charging, text sounds and email sounds do not work. Only phonecall sounds. Is this normal?
Also when you go into settings, sounds, and what to change the default for texts and email you cannnot hear the sounds if the phone is plugged in.
As an example if i change the text tonne from bloom to bell, it makes a bell sound if it is not plugged in. But if it is plugged in, it makes no sound at all.
This doesn't seem like the way the phone should work.
It has the same problem with email sounds. They do not work when the phone is plugged in.
Call sounds work fine with and without charging.
Help.
Seems like your iPhone is sensing that it is Docked into a Dock system. Clean the iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush and see if this fixes it.

Did you recently deauthorize a bunch of computers? You can only deauthorize all once year.

for the last few days I can log into icloud via icloud.com on my pc but I can't action anything.
I can see the emails but cannot view them. I cannot compose a new email.. I don't know if this is icloud or my pc?

I had the same problem like you. I can hear from the speaker, and when doing a recording and play back via the speaker. My iPhone 4 is out of warranty so I just got it fix at the small repair shop and cost me S$50. The repair guy did the above test and comfirm it is faulty of a small component, total tiem taken to fix my iPhone is about 10mins..

10.7.4 is the latest update of MacOS X Lion. Run Software Update in System Preferences.
Since you state to run 10.7.2, Software Update will have to use the combo updater to bring it up to 10.7.4. This will entail a large download that will take some time so have patience. I suggest the following steps:
Restart the Mac, press and hold Command-R to start up in Recovery Mode (More info: http://www.apple.com/macosx/recovery/ ).
If needed, select the desired language to move to the next screen (only if it is the first time in Recovery Mode).

Now run Software Update in System Preferences, choose to apply all missing updates. This will take quite awhile, depending on how fast your Internet connection is. The Mac will need to be restarted when the updating is done.
Run Software Update again to have Safari updated to the latest version. This is necessary since Safari 5.1.7 needs OS X 10.7.4 to be running already. -

When the blinking stops, it is charged. Then you can unplug it. The behavior you describe with it stopping blinking when you unplug it is because it has stopped charging. Hitting the button will show how charged it is.

I recently received an email from my son which was infected. When I use Firefox and go to my Gmail account I can no longer forward or send emails with the password account which was infected. If I use Internet Explorer I have no problems. If I use another Gmail account I have no problem. It is important I use the infected account and I prefer using Firefox. What can I do to fix the problem.

question is self explanatory. I want to be asked for a password when I click on mail, less anyone can open it.
Option to stay logged in will be stored in cookies. Delete the cookies for the email site (for details on doing that see the [[Deleting cookies]] article). When you next log into the mail site, deselect any option on the login screen that says something like"remember me" or "stay signed in".
