HT201401 white constellation on retina display

My display has got white constellations or like bright spots which seems disturbing much when there are white backgrounds.
any solution to remove these white bright constellations ?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?
It's possible that a reset or restore will clear things up... more likely the device has a hardware issue but it's worth trying the simple troubleshooting first.
If it is a hardware issue, take it to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Just discovered white spots on my retina display, bought it 2 months ago. Is it still possible to get it replaced?

More likely than not, Apple will replace the screen - they actually have to replace the whole 'top hinge' to get to the screen, but if I were you I would waste no time in getting it repaired, under warranty.
If I had had a Retina MacBook Pro when I was 16, high school homework would have been a lot simpler! I had a typewriter. A nice IBM Selectric, but just a typewriter. I didn't get my first computer until I was 18 and in college (and it was helpful).
Ah, but you kids today have it made!

White spot on Retina Display

Ordered directly from Apple Store and discovered white spot. Sent email to apple support and had a return call within minutes. Talked to software support first and after a brief description transferred me to sales who after explaining the issue said they would send out a new one which was shipped two days later. Phone support was incredible. Was on the phone for less than 15 min and very happy with the solution. For those wondering I did not see the spot until making the background white. Does not show with other background pictures.

I think we have the same issue. I bought my Macbook rpo retina last sept 2012. I jsut discovered it recently as I often watch Tv shows on my ipad3. I happened to watch a tv show in my mbpr lately and saw this tiny white flickering dot on the top left corner of my display. I see it only intermittently meaning in some instances you see it sometimes not. It only happens when in full screen using QT player. If I minimize it and back to ful scrn, the dot disappears. After few mins it may or may not show up.
I brought it to apple customer service and they cant duplicate the issue. I told them its random and they should wait for it. They said theyve been watching tv shows in full scrn for 2 days already and it didnt happen. I even showed them video clips - I record the tiny dot flickering using my iPhone - but still they cant reproduce the issue. After I brought it back home, I immediately watch a TV show and see it once again. It dosappears once you minimize it and returning to full scrn mode the flickering disappears.
So I thought Why would it disappear once I minimize it? If its hardware then it should be there all the time! and so I use VLC player instead to check if it would happen as well. for sevral days, I used vlc player to watch all movies/videos and IT DID NOT HAPPEN AT ALL! There is no tiny white dot flickering with VLC! and so I thought maybe this is firmware or driver...and so when the macbook pro has an update recently about 2.0 something...I thought it would resolve the issue but it didnt.
I have inserted a copy of the flickering tiny white dot...

In the Print dialog, select the Color Matching tab and then select Vendor Matching.

Tiny white spot on MacBook Pro With Retina Display Screen

I bought my MacBook Pro with retina display on July 10,2012 It has been working fine but then, I noticed a white spot on the left side of the screen. It's real tiny, proably not even an inch big but I can see it. Other peole have not been able to see it, But I can. I spoke to AppleCare, they said to mail it in to have them look at it since I don't live near an Apple Store. But is it really worth sending my computer in for something that is so small? It is also too late to return my computer.
P.S I think and so does AppleCare, that it is a dead pixel
Should I send it in? Has anyone ever mailed in their computer to Apple before? What is it like? Is it a good or bad experiance? How long does it take for you to get it back?

Apple service centre employee told me that they do not have this 14 day offer in India.
And My mac book pro is taken in by Service centre people to run test etc and I will be informed the next day if they accept it as a fault or not ?

Take it back in and gently but firmly try to persuade a senior supervisor to authorize a replacement. Had it been stuck on black, would have been easier on the persuasion, but you may get lucky.

Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider.

Youtube not fluid( microlag), flash problem whit retina display?

i've searched for this issue a lot on the web and i did't found exactly something that matches my problem perfectly.
i often watch fullhd videos on youtube, but when i do that on my macbook pro retina 15 inch late 2013 base model i notice that there is something going wrong.
at the first looking the videos seems to play fine but for the most experts it's lagging just a little every few seconds, and you notice that especially on a camera movement.
i wanted to know if any of you have experienced that issue, and if someone have solved it. when i play videos on the computer evrething is fine, so i think that is a bad optimization of flash player with the iris 5200 and retina display or with the OSX. everything is fine when you play html5 videos too.
this problem happens on all browsers i tested but speccialy with safari and less on chrome.
try to watch carefully the hobbit trailer on 1080p to see if you have this issue.

Screen burn-in/ghosting on MacBook Pro with Retina Display

I have had my 15 inch MacBook Pro with retina display for a little over a year now I and I have started to notice that when I am on a mostly white webpage for a few minutes, and then switch to a darker page, there is an obvious screen burn-in/ghosting. Is this something that can be fixed? It's not accidentaly damage, it's a manufacturing problem.
My warranty recently expired. Will I have to pay for repair costs even though this is Apple's fault and not mine? If so, how much could I expect to pay? Is there any way to extend my warranty? How much does that cost?

Not sure if its Samsung or LG, but honestly I dont care, I just want a not faulty display in my new expensive laptop.
Now Im thinking to return it again and Im really paste after waiting for almost a month to receive this second and also defective laptop (I bought it in the online store, 1TB, 16RAM, I7).
Should I return it again? Im thinking that even if the 14 days expires, since I have the waranty,they fix it anytime within the 3 years apple care waranty.

I bought my Macbook Pro (Retina Display) from a Authorised Reseller in Malidves. Its been 3 weeks since i've bought it. Few days back i noticed a white spot on the screen. I tried to wipe the spot off with the cleaning cloth. to my surprise, the spot didn't fade. The spot was rough to touch. Any ideas what it might be???

Take it back to the reseller. Your warranty should cover that problem.
