HT201406 My 2nd generation ipod touch screen is not responding at all is there anything i can do to fix this?
I let my cuzin borrow my ipod and when she gave it back the screen was not responding, my volume button is pushed all the way in and the lock button doesnt work very well. Is there anything i can do to fix it or anywere i can get it fixed?
well unfortunatley your warranty is over so the device is not covered, BUT sounds like you have interupting signals being sent from a stuck home button constantly being pressed and maybe even a digitizer problem (the touch screen). You can try to restore your ipod to your computer to see if it might be some kind of software related issue. Just restore to the last sync you have on iTunes. But FIRST...I would try to Reset your ipod.
Go to Settings>General>Reset> Reset all settings.

My iPod Touch is stuck. I can't get it to power off. All that comes up on the screen is the Apple Logo. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
You may need to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the apple logo appears. Or anther thing you can try is draining the battery until the battery is dead. That's what i tried and worked. You may need to do those things more than 2 times. OH anther thing is you can try connecting you ipod to your computer and see if it appears on itunes. If those don't work you can send it to apple. So that's what helped me I hope I answered your question.

My location services in iPod Touch 5 is not working. Any help?? I really want to fix this issue.
You do have it turned on ins settings>Privacy, right?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
You can confirm that by going to place with a know located router like Starbucks or McDonalds -
After updating my iPod 4 and my iPhone 3gs to 5.1 it keeps turning itself off whenever I'm trying to load a larger web-page, or doing some hard operations. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Have yu tried the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod. -
My 2nd generation iPod Touch is unresponsive to touch... tried the restore options, etc., no go... any suggestions?
If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Ipod touch screen is not responding anymore!
i have a first gen ipod touch that i got in christmas of 2007.
it's only given me problems a few times, and i use it every day.
but lately, it's been acting really wierd.
a few weeks ago i went to use it. when i went to type my passcode i had to press the numbers more than once to get them to type. then after it was unlocked it wouldn't always respond to my finger. i would have to lock it then unlock it to get it to do something. i reset it a few times but that didnt help so i just put it down and when i used it the next day it worked fine, and it's been working fine until yesterday.
ever since yesterday the touch screen works for about three or four actions then i have to lock it and unlock it again to get it to work. and even after i do that, it stops working after a few touches or swipes. i've reset it a few times with no help and i even let it just sit there and charge all yesterday afternoon, last night, and today but it still wont work. even when i type my passcode, or even when its locked but i double click the home button to pause music - it still doesnt respond. but the home button and lock buttons work fine its just the home screen.
i want to do a restore, but what will happen if i do? will i lose everything thats on it??
what do you think i should do?The backup you make before you restore includes information such as mail settings, notes, sound settings, widget settings, certain network settings, and other preferences including settings and data from third-party applications purchased from the App Store will be restored from the backup. Your music, videos, and applications will be reloaded by iTunes as they were before the restore. This article gives all the details and shows you the screens you will see during the restore: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

My girlfriends ipod touch screen is not responding..
So my girlfriends ipod touch is not responding and I have tried resetting it but that doesn't work. Any ideas on how to fix it?? I need something to work before she kills me.. Help...
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My iPod has died and wont load back up. What do i do?!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar -
Help please
- After charging it for at least an hour try what you already tried. You battery may be fully discharged.
- If still problem, I would try restoring it via iTunes. If the iPod does not show in iTunes try placing the iPod in recovery mode. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore -
i have tried the whole menu an lock button trick but it still wont turn on past the apple logo.
Try #2 and #3 in link below. If neither work, you most likely have a hardware issue.

I was camping this weekend and left my ipod in the heat and now it does not work. is there any way i can fix this or do i need to send it in to get fixed'?
- Try here first:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for:
Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing
- It could be only the battery since high temperature can destroy the battery.
- I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to see what your options are. -
