    - Try a reset.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Connect to computer and restore if it appearsin iTunes.
    - If screen still white let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour repeat the above.

  • IPod touch 3G won't work after falling in water? Help!

Ok it's been 3 months since my iPod touch fell in the...toilet. I immediately put it in rice after pushing all the buttons. It was only in the water for a second. When I picked it up the screen was dim, flickering, then when black. I wiped it off and put it in rice. I left it in rice for about four days. I finally plugged it up to the charger and after 20 minutes it came on. It told me I needed to plug it up to iTunes so I did. I restored it and when it was restored I tried to slide the bar at the bottom of the screen but it would never register. So I let it die and when I charged it again it wanted me to restore it AGAIN! I've restored it about five times!! Each time the touch screen won't work and it doesn't hold a charge very well. Also every time it does it wants me to restore it. What's wrong with it and how can I fix it? Oh and the home button doesn't work.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

  • My Ipod touch screen won't stay on.  Right after turning the Ipod on it goes fuzzy even after a full charge.  Is this due to battery problems?

My Ipod touch screen won't stay on. Right after turning the ipod on, the screen goes fuzzy.
Is this is sign the battery is a problem?   Clicking sounds are also not working despite being tunred on, as well as the speaker.

If they don't work, that may be a display or GPU issue. Take your MacBook Pro to an Apple Store or reseller. If you want to know which is the part, connect an external display

  • IPOD TOUCH 4G WON"T WORK!

I tried syncing it with my computer, holding the home and sleep button for very long and it doesn't even work!!! PLEASE help me if anyone know what to do. I also bought an extra warrenty when i bought this ipod, I wonder if i can replace i with a new one.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that points to a hardware problem. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Ipod Touch STILL won't work with Windows 64-bit

    Argh!
So, I've read the entries about the new Itunes 7.6, and how it should work with my Ipod Touch.
I uninstalled all my previous Itunes, and Quicktime software. I then installed the new Itunes64.exe. Everything worked fine.
But then, I connected by Itouch and it says "This Ipod cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the Itunes installer to remove Itunes, the install the 64-bit version of Itunes."
I'm confused what the problem is. I just DID that!?! What do I need to do differently? Anyone have an idea?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
I’ve got the new version of Itunes (7.6.1) but I still get the error where it tells me to download and install a 64-bit version of Itunes. This is just ridiculous!!! I bought my IPOD touch before Christmas and i still haven’t been able to use it!
I've uninstalled and installed itunes and all that rubbish about 5-6 times now, i've deleted everything to do with Apple from my machine and also nearly killed my machine because i messed around with the registry (that's my fault :P)
NOTE: I used IE 64-bit version to download the installer.
Anyone have a solution to the problem?

  • Ipod touch 5 won't work

I dropped my ipod touch 5th gen on the floor and it shut down. i tried the recovery mode by pluggin it in the computer and itunes and even though it find it and shows me to restore it, it won't work all the way and on the screen there is the empty battery amd even though it's plugged in, it's not charging. and itunes says that can't find the software or device and can't do the restore. i asked somebody and they said that there musy be something broken inside, most likely something with the battery...what should i do? are there any chances for my ipod to be fixed?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Ipod touch 5 won't work after installing IOS 8.2

I had gotten my Ipod in February from my boyfriend (he bought it brand new from Amazon). Recently, I had tried to install IOS 8.0.2 (the newest one) and I had accidentally shut it down, thinking it would stop the update. Boyfriend told me nothing about not updating it and just waiting. But now it refuses to turn on. there are times when it has the apple logo and it stays for a good 15 seconds but sometimes it will fade away completely. We have tried everything. The Itunes will do the restore thing but then at the end, it will say it can't finish. Help!

  • New iPod touch 4 won't work or restore after update

I got an iPod touch 4 in January. (I am using an H-P desktop, 3.0Ghz, 2.5 GB RAM, 250 GB HD, mostly empty, with Win XP home.) The first time there was an iOS software update available, it didn't work after the update and would not restore. After many tries, I finally got it working by restoring it on our macbook. At the time I figured it was just a fluke that it didn't work.
Now, with the latest iOS update, the same thing is happening. I have tried all the troubleshooting things on the dialog box that is linked to the iTunes box that comes up (several times). I also tried deleting the ipsw files that was suggested in a similar problem found in this forum. Nothing works! Unfortunately, the one year old macbook is now in the shop with problems so that route is nil. (Besides, it is supposed to work with this system!)
I really miss having my iPod! Anyone have any other suggestions?

  • IPod is trying to turn on but the apple fades out in a few seconds. Tried resetting, iPod is trying to turn on but the apple fades ou in a few seconds. Tried resetting.

    Any help

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.
