Are other people having dificulty with AT&T switching their service over to the new iPhone 5?
We got two new Iphone 5's yesterday. Mine was set up with no problems but my husbands got set up but won't activate...says no service. spent 2 hours on with att tech support Friday night and went to the store today. Its been over 24 hours now and it is still not working. Worst part--it also deactivated his iphone 4 so he has no phone now!!! We have reset the network and soft and hard booted it over 100 times now. This is crazy! ATT is sending me to apple tomorrow to get it fixed but that is going to be 48 hours with no service at all. Epic fail aT&T!

YES many thousands will have that sort of symptom. Not surprising with a user base approaching 1/2 Billion Firefox users.
As for your own problem try these suggestions in this order and checking after each step.
# Try Firefox in its own safemode. e.g. hold the shift key whilst starting

# Disable all plugins, and restart in safe mode again.
# Try the firefox reset but read the article first. Bookmark any important open tabs, and the home websites of any Firefox extensons you have installed

Hi, are other people still experiencing chipped scuffed iphone 5 brand new just out of box?
Im an old apple user who likes keeping all his devices up to date. I ordered and iPhone 5 white and unfortunately it was chipped from 3 different places right out of the box. Now come my replacement white iphone 5 which is supposed to be fine. It has barely been a few hours i took it out of the box and there is a small chip on the screen. Note: chips on the first phone were on the aluminium frame where the screen seem is. Im writing this review just disappointed in my trust for the company thinking i will let it slide and keep using my chipped phone till a better android phone comes in and this one breaks properly. Any other people having this issue? I know getting two defective devices is beyond bad luck. I have pictures of the damages along with the imei if anybody wants to see?

Take the device to an Apple store and exchange it or contact Apple Customer support to arrnage an exchange.

Sept 4, 2014 My iPhone is not connecting to the Hotmail servers. Hotmail comes up with "The connection to the server failed". Are other people experiencing the same issues? From: gnof51
If your Hotmail account worked previously and it suddenly stopped and gave you that message, then it is likely a problem at th Hotmail end. Did you check the Hotmail website or contact Hotmail directly to see if they are experiencing problems?

Anyone else having issues with location services since the 7.1 update? Ever since I updated i’ve been seeing the location services icon on my status bar at all times. I noticed that google was the app that was using it a lot, but after I turned the feature off for google my phone started using the “traffic”, “frequent locations” and “cell network search”. When I turn the feature off for all of those things it’s no longer a problem. So just wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if anyone has a solution?
The "solution" is probably to increase your knowledge. You've done good things. Perhaps this article will educate you a bit more about location services.
Basically, they can be very useful, but can cause a lot of iPhone use. A major example is "Remind me to ... when I leave home."

iPhone 4 won't slide to unlock . I tried everything possible and even got my phone replaced fora new one costing me 10,282 Rupees . The new phone is again having the same problem even without adding any apps or taking data backup

Last time was yesterday... I posted this here because I came from Apple and with a new iPhone 5, although I didn't restore anything from iCloud, I hadn't even logged in to iCloud / AppStore, and without any event on the lockscreen my iPhone 5 was already "locked" on the unlock screen... after a mere 45m after I used it without a single App!! Just a couple of SMS / 1 or 2 calls... I'm going to Apple again on monday, but tried to post here to see if this has happened before to anyone with 3 new iPhones!!! -
I decided to change my apple id on my iphone 5 to have a seperate account from the other people in my family. I changed all of the settings to the new id and I can't sync new apps or music to my phone and apps on my phone will not sync to my computer. Please help!!!
If you didn't already do so, authorize your computer for the new ID by opening iTunes and going to Store>Authorize This Computer. Then sync your phone with iTunes.

hi, I have 2 iPhone 4 and i would like to transfer all of my documents and data, contacts, apps ect ect from my old phone to my new iPhone 4.
Essentialy I would like to recreate my old phone on the new one. (older phone is scratched). I have a different phone number, and different i tunes account associated with each phone but I have no problem with changing the i tunes account on the new phone back to the account I had on the old one.
I have done back ups in the past of my old phone, using i tunes and I would like to apply the backed up information to my new phone. How would I do this?
Can I restore device A onto device B? Also wondering what sort of information or files might not transfer?

Me and my partner are currently using the same apple id and have no space left on our devices. We are currently waiting on the iphone 6 plus to arrive and don't know how to transfer all data to the new phones.?

What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? I'm sincerely trying to get this cleared up once and for all----just need guidance from someone who has a true understanding of the whole Apple iCloud/Itunes system!

how do i get my contacts back? they are backed up by i cloud but when I "MERGE" only the new ones are there and not the old ones

You need to check iCloud to see if they are actually there. Go to iCloud.com and sign in and then look at your Contacts there to see if the old ones are still showing on iCloud.
If they are not, then you can either re-enter them while you are on iCloud.com, or you can restore your device from the backup where you saved them:

My wife switched from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5. Everything transferred over and service is on the new phone. However, texts are going to her old phone still. Any idea what the problem is?
As long as iMessage is enabled and the old phone is connected to a WiFi access point, it will continue to receive iMessage texts. It won't receive non-iMessage texts nor will it receive any calls.

HT201269 will a restore delete apps that are on the new phone
I just got an iphone 5 and they lady turned it on and synced my contacts. My question is, will the backup saved from my iphone 3 delete the new apps that come with the 5? Will it delete these or will it add my old apps to the new one?
It wont delete the preinstalled Apps of the iPhone 5 if that's what you are wondering.
You can safely restore from the 3G backup and get all your apps onto the new phone.
Alternatively, assuming you use the same apple Id you can simply redownload them form them from the purchased tab in iTunes on the new phone. -

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing and follow the instructions.
