sounds like your phone needs to be restored with itunes, what where you doing before this started happening

Sync them as you do wverything else.

My computer restarted while I was updating software from OS4.1 to OS 5. Now my Ipod touch is just frozen. All it shows is the usb connection to itune symbol. Itune does not recognise. See if placing the Ipod in recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so yu can restore the iPOd.. For recovery mode:

I wanted to update the ios on my iphone yesterday- biggest mistake ever. FOr hours it was stuck with the word searching on the top lest hand were the carrier name should be. At night I finally got the time to connect the **** phone to wifi and tried to update the idiot software again while the phone was charging. Woke up and the phone was on a black screen that asked me to connect the phone to itunes, so i did. Now it tells me to update it through itunes or it will restore the phone to factory settings which is something that I absolutely can not do because itunes has not let me back up my phone for over more that half a year.
Your iPhone is in recovery mode and any data that was not backed up is already gone. You have no choice but to restore the phone and restore from your last backup.

it was saying error code 1, i tried the things it said but none of it worked. now it is not showing an error code at all, it just keeps saying it needs to be restored.

Hey, just bought an iPhone 3GS off a friend an am looking to sync it to iTunes The version is 4.3.3. Is this normal ?. The device fails to appear in Itunes however. I have checked my USB ports under device manager and there is an 'Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller'. Does this mean all my ports are 2.0? When I connect my device it says ' This device Can perform faster' if connected to a USB port. Need Advice.

Since yours says, "enhanced" .. it should be 2.0
Try disabling a/v software and turning off the Firewall then sync.
Disable antivirus software
Turn Windows Firewall on or off

IPhone 3GS is showing no service
My iPhone 3GS is showing no service, I have reset the network settings but that didn't seem to work. I then restored the phone iteself but it still shows no service.
The phone is on O2 and I have tried a few other sims, but it still doesnt seem to work. The iOS is 6.1.3, I have been told this may be the problem but it was working a couple of days ago.
I was also told to try these steps which didn't seem to work:
1. Disable 3G in Settings/General/Network
2. Power off the iPhone by holding the top lock button down then sliding to power off, leave the phone off for 30 seconds
3. Power on the iPhone
4. Reset network settings in Settings/General/Reset
5. Turn on 3G
6. You should be able to find the network now

Reset the iPhone by Holding both Power and Home Buttons together till Apple logo appears.
Restore to a backup.

I have no idea why this has happend ive been using the phone for 2years bought it on pay as you go and now all of a sudden its stating the above error i have never come across this problem before and currently im using 3GS and Iphone 4SSounds like it's been blacklisted.
Even if it hasn't, downgrading voids any warranty and forfeits all rights to support. You hacked your phone. You can't get help here. -

This didn't happen all by itself or without user interaction.This means you connected your iPhone to your friend's Mac followed by selecting sync via wif-fi with your friend's Mac under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your friend's Mac.
