Other people have a similar problem with iBooks (and I've only heard about it happening with iBooks) and it not appearing after they've download it, but it has then usually appeared after doing a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My Video Icon in Ipad went missing after latest software 4.3.1 upgrade, I can still find all the videos under sportlight search, however how can I restore the video icon?

Apparently Only 10 pages = 200 icons are allowed to be display, I deleted some of the unused Apps, reboot the Ipad and the Video Icon reappear again.

IPad 2 Video Icon missing

Hi guys. I just got this problem involving my video icon on my iPad 2. I did not do any upgrades or download anything unusual into my iPad. The problem is that the original icon should be a blue square and says: "Videos" underneath. At the moment, it's just a grey box. I need a way to revert this problem. I tried restarting and restarting my iPad, but to no avail. My version is iOS5. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The reset will delete all your apps and content but before you perform the reset sync all your photos and video and apps and then do it umm also if you delete and app that you have already paid for you do not have to pay to get it back

Videos icons missing after ios 8 update

Hi! So after the ios 8 update, the icons in the official video app have a computer with a house inside instead of the nice picture they had. Some still have the same icon.
How to fix this?

I have this same problem with a few home videos on both my iPhone and iPad. It's the same five videos on both. After upgrading to iOS 8 on both devices, the icons disappeared. I'm searching for a solution.

Video Icon missing. How do I get it back?

My Iphone 3g used to have the icon "videos". It is gone now. How do I get it back? I have sync'd and restored right back to factory to see if I can get it back.
It is the icon at the bottom betweem the "music" and "photos" icon.

Try updating your phone to the latest version... and check your restrictions.. Maybe you have it restricted.

Missing video icon on playbook screen

I have the camera and picture icon and can take videos with the camera but the video icon is missing ad I can't play the videos I've shot. I've checked all the folders-no video icon anywhere--HELP.

Swipe from screen to screen to see if you moved it elsewhere on another screen. Look in folders as well.
Do you have restrictions enabled? Settings>General>Restrictions>On. If you do, you may have age restricted content and that may have hidden the icon. I'm not real sure how that works because I don't use restrictions.
If you can't find it any other way you can reset the home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen layout. If you do this, you will return the home screen to the layout that it was when you first activated the iPad.

Check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that you didn't disable it.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.

You may have put it on another screen, so swipe from screen to screen and look for it.

Missing Video Icons

Recently I was forced into a complete restoral of My PowerMac G4 867, running OS X v. 10.4.6. I've essentially restored my system, however, in iTunes, I've lost the cover icons for my videos downloaded from the Music Store, all of them having been replaced by a generic QuickTime icon. I've looked into all my preferences and options but haven't been able to restore the video icons. Does anyone have any ideas on how to restore them?

if you can find it on the internet you can drop it back in.
and erase what was there before.

TS2972 I installed ios 7 today on my devices. Not all my devices are letting me view my purchaced movies under the videos icon. All are under the same apple ID.

Installed ios 7 on my iphone 5, my ipad 2, and my daughters iphone 4. Home sharing and icloud are turned on on all devices but the only one that is allowing me to see all of my purchases in the cloud is my iphone 5. It shows all my movies under the videos icon. My other devices say No Content when I open the video icon. Any one else having these issues.

This happened to me as well. All of our purchased(icloud) content shows up on my husbands iPhone 5 and he can stream it wihtout any problems, but not on my iPhone 4s. When first I installed it yesterday some of them showed up but it was missing most of our purchased content on my phone. I decided maybe it was a glitch that happened while updating so I did a soft reset holding my home and power button down. That did not fix it so I restored my phone from the computer hoping that reinstalling the software would fix it. When it was done I went in and there is no content now. Before I atleast had partial content now there is nothing. If I go to the itunes store it shows that I own them and if I click on a movie or tv episode the picture shows up in the left hand corner with a play icon on it but it will only let me play 1 episode and none of the others work. I am so frustrated! I hope someone figures this out:)

Viber video message missing in camera roll

i just noticed that the video messages i received via viber does not play anymore even i saved it into my camera roll. i'm really upset because i thought they are already saved locally on my phone.
i keep on getting this message "please see attached"
i thought that after saving to camera roll everything should be there locally...

The device has cellular connection.
Sends sms. Sends emails. Sends photos via email.
What it does not do is send photos by sms, either from photo share or from the sms function.
Photo share - the sms icon is missing, other icons (eg mail, twitter, FB, etc) are all there and work, just the sms icon missing.
SMS - the camera icon in the sms window is greyed out and cannot be selected.
These two things together mean photos cannot be sms'd.
Guessing it is a setting somewhere, I can't find where or what.

Nokia Maps Icon Missing?

i have just bought this new Nokia Asha 303 phone and i thought the software installed in the phone is incomplete because i cant seem to find the shortcut for nokia maps. I installed the nokia suite in my pc and check for software updates and it is up to date. I already tried factory reset, but nothing, still the same. Is it possible to restore the missing icon? thanks for any help.

Right after having my new phone I started exploring its possibilities testing applications from Ovi store. At some point I got some problems with an application so I decided it would be a good idea to try a reset... I first try with an app settings reset to defaults (from the s40 Configuration menu, not the Restoring Factory Defaults menu)... right after that I realized I didn't have Nokia Maps icon in any of the lists of installed applications, nor I could found any loader in both file units, phone and memory card, for it... I was not 100% sure the icon vanished after settings reset, but I supposed it, so I thought something went definitely wrong and I decided to try reset to factory defaults as I just started testing the phone so I hadn't any information saved there to lose... what I could not expect it's that a factory reset will not yield the software at the same very state as what I received short time before. In addition to not getting back the Nokia Maps icon, I noticed another difference in the system, I have an Introduction icon in the list of default applications, that triggers a video playback showing the phone basics... now when I push that button, the playback starts but only for the audio, and instead of the video I show a black screen with a NOKIA logo in the center, the same very screen I see when boot up the phone. Ios8 video tag missing action

Hi,
I have a problem with html5 video tag on ios8 inside mail,
the video box exist but play-video icon isn't clickable, tapping on the button has no effect, also no poster image shown.
I've looked for it on the web and found others with same issue.

I have done another test on two iPhones today.
One is running iOS7 WebApp works fine. Second with iOS8 has same problem as my iPad with iOS8.
I would like to hear from Apple that this problem is acknowledged.

Video + music missing after moving iphoto + itunes to external drive

There is probably a really obvious answer to this but I have tried searching without success. I have just moved my iphoto and itunes libraries to an external drive to free up space on my HD. Do I have to do the same with imovie in order for the music and iphoto video clips in my existing projects to work properly? Or can you redirect iMovie 09 to look for these files on the external drive (as you do with iphoto and itunes)?
At the moment in imovie the iphoto video icon still appears under my HD even though I have moved the library and the iphoto video clips and itunes tracks I've used in my projects are now labelled missing with yellow exclamation marks. How do I fix these broken links? I understand I can drag events over to the ext drive but my iphoto videos are not listed as an event.

UPDATE! According to Apple support, there is no way to re-link those assets. They suggested two options, 1) recreate the folder structure with the missing music on HD1. I tried that but was unsuccessful. 2) Place the music again into the project. I have a lot of music with edits and did not want to use this time consuming approach, but surprisingly after replacing the first song, all the songs updated. Unusual workaround. HTH, Scott
