I am having problems with my updates button for apps - I just get a blank screen when I press the update button and no icons appear
The update server is down; try this temporary workaround
App Store>Purchased>Select "All"
Note: Look out for apps that have the word "Update"

I have been trying to update apps on my iPad for the last week. I get a blank screen under updates. However the other App Store functions work. Not sure how to fix this. iPad updates are up to date.

When I usually go into yahoo mail, there is an icon at the top left hand side to access my calendar and notepad. They are both gone, but there is a field in the bottom left corner that has the buttons. When I click on either one, I just get a blank screen. I've not updated by Firefox to a new version and can't imagine what happened overnight.
This sounds more like it's a temporary problem with Yahoo's mail website. My advice at this point is to see if this fixes itself within a few hours. If not, please come back (actually, do come back regardless and let us know if your problem is solved).

My e-mail isn't working on my iPad2 I just get a blank screen when I tap the mail icon. I had e-mail for the first 2 days I had my iPad then it disappeared I don't know what happened.
try to quit the mail application in the multitasking feature. if this does not work try to reset the device manualy by pressing the home and power button until it powers off and restarts with the apple logo.

Have just updated to the latest version of ios6 on my iPhone 4Sand now I can't see the apps that need updating. Is showing 8 but just left with blank screen- how do I fix this?

My IPAD 2 got a virus in my email. The date of the email was from 1969. It started mulltipling and just wiped out all my email accounts. I just get a blank screen in email and it apears to be locked. What can I do?
It's not a virus.
Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

My iPad will not charge and will not switch on, blank screen.....Have you tried a soft-reset to see if that gets the iPad to turn on and/or to charge ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo will hopefully appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

3rd gen iPod touch. I just get a blank screen (after a few secs of the apple symbol) when it is switched on or when connected for charging. I know the connections are OK. Suggestions/help please
I took the iPod to the local Apple shop. The guy put the iPod onto a docking station and checked it - answer "connections are OK". I have used the link before but have not gone through all its suggestions (although picked on the most relevant ones). I may have to go back. Thanks again for your suggestions

I can't get updates on my iPad 2 all I get is a blank screen.
Try rebooting your router first. Unplug it for 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Reboot your iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you still can't connect to the iTunes store, look here for help.

Hi, my iPad 2 keeps dropping out and going back to a blank screen. I have to again enter my password and go back to what I was doing and then it happens again, I have tried resetting and nothing has changed.

RonFirst, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -
App Store updates gives a blank screen
Opened App Store app and selected update. Alligator is blank screen. The other choices, featured, etc seem to being fine. I tried a shutdown, restart. Problem continues. Notei have same problem on iPad and iPad mini. Don' t dare try on iPhone

After I did the newest update ios7 on my iPhone 4 now it just gives the iTunes screen
Since I updated my iPhone 4 there has been a terrible lag in the voicemail especially when deleting voicemail. So as soon as I saw there was a new update I downloaded it. Now my phone won't do anything it just gives me the iTunes picture on the phone.
Your phone is in recovery mode. You must restore it on your computer via USB
