I have a text file which has many sentences and there are number of newlines between these sentences are they are not unique some times they are 3 or 5 or 1
How can I make all the space just one??

He is playing with his friend each SundayRead the file skipping blank lines and storing the sentences in some type of array. Write the sentences back out, adding one blank line between each one.
Do you have any more specific questions about parts of that? -
my track pad will sudenly start jumping around the screen and clicking very rapidly, since te problem began it operates diferently from normal when ever it apears to be working correctly, specificly i can no longer grab items without removing the tracking finger from the pad before clicking to grab an item, if i do not it will procede as if i double cliked somthing, conversly if i disable the two finger tap double click i am unable to double click anything, sometimes whilst apearing to funtion normally it will scroll from side to side if i do not remove my thumb from the bottom of the pad, again these are during the rare instances its not jumping about the screen cliking, and reaking havoc on what ever im working on any help would be apreciated thanks.
You have some type of hardware problem. More then likely the battery is swelling and putting presure on the trackpad. The only thing to do is take to Apple and have them check it all out, replacing any parts that are needed.

I can't get my MacBook Air 13in that I bought used, to register with Apple. How can I do it?
A guy was selling this Mac used so I got it. The only thing was after he had cleaned the hardrive he had put it in his name again, and sold it like that. I later figured this out and reset the hardrive and, what I thought, put it back to factory setting. The only problem is that i tried to get iLife from the app store and it said that these apps are associated with a different Apple ID and then it was trying to charge me $15 dollars for each. So i went to the Apple website to register this one with Apple. When I typed in the seriel number though, it said this product is associated with a different Apple ID. iTunes also, when I looked at my puchased movies through the cloud it asked if I wanted to tranfer these purchases and if so it would lock my account for 90 days. Can someone please help me fingure out what I have to do to fix this? I have been using this computer for some time now so it would be nice if I didn't have to set it back to factory setting, but if I must I don't mind doing it.
The person that sold you the MBA has to delete the serial number from his profile on the Apple web site before you will be able to register it. He also needs to delete it as one of the 5 computers on his iTunes account. Since you reloaded it the only way he can do that is to do a total delete of all computers on his account.
All progerams and apps that he purchased are not available to you.

One layer style changing all the other layer styles? Turn this off?
I'm sure there is an easy answer to this but I cannot seem to find it. When I am applying a style to one layer in CS2, and lets say I give it a drop shadow that is different (say it's at 110degrees rather than 90degrees) compared with the other drop shadows in my other layers, the curent layer style will change all the other layer styles across the board. I've looked all over for some setting to change so each individual layer keeps its own style but I can't seem to find this. I want each layer to have its own style attribute and not change the rest, how do I correct this?

I have made a beatifull website, and upload it with filezilla to a server, and also I upload it to a local map.
Everthing was going very well, but i don't get my website on the internet, because one page will not be uploaded (again) and that is my first page, the home page (and for as far I understand also my index.html)
I web telling all the time: can not publish this page because there is an unknown error.
The strange thing is, that I can see, even on the local map as on the online server, that my home page is still there!
the size of the index.html is 303 kb (and when I open it, it is empty, but maybe thats normal?)
And yes, I did a lot of stupide things, by accident I deleted a lot of files and documents on my computer :-((
I reinstall Iweb (3.04) but the error is still there.
So, do I have to reinstall OS lion totaly? But them I i'm afraid that I lost all my webpages (even they are on the server now)
(can I put all on a USB stick, and make later again a new homepage?)
I hope one of you recognize this problem and have a more simpeler solution than my story here above.

And offcourse that I delete my files and documents is not an Iweb problem, but because my English is not that good, that I thougt I try to tell the whole story, and hope people can read trough the lines.
Why I didn't use Iweb to upload to the server is because the server company recommanded to use file zilla. And I am a nobody with this kind of things, so I did exactly what they tell me to do.
No, i did not make a backup of Iweb and the domain file, but reading other messages on this forum showed me that I can maybe try to make empty the cashfile (?)
and otherwise I have bad luck and have to make my website again. Offcourse I have a lot of examples from all the pages (copied from the local map to my USB stick) and my website is aprox. 15 Mb, (not so big) so it will cost me a few nigths.
But I'm still hoping on a miracle :-)

My I3GS is jumping between all the functions by itself and won't switch off
About an hour ago my phone started to jump to voice control automatically and calling random numbers. It then started to take images of itself then proceeded to play music and what appears to be like a demo. I tried to switch it off but it won't even let me do this.

If you see this, then fixing it is very easy. You will just need to connect the phone to your computer with itunes and follow the prompts from itunes. -

warrenty is a legal thing not set by apple but by the politicians of your country
most places it covers defects that was not caused by you but was caused during the production and only discovered later on

In a PDF you can´t change single letter.
You can only try to convert the PDF document into a Word document.
Now you can search and replace a letter. -

You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC. -
Only one of my earbuds on my bose headphones works with my ipad, iphone and macbook- if I hold them there the right earbud will work, but for the life of me, I can't get them to both work. Why is this? And is Apple doing anything about this? While Apple's headphones have (finally) admittedly gotten better of late, I still prefer the much more comfortable headphones & sound quality that Bose makes and that I spent the money for.

Apple Mac mini g4 with Apple Pro Keyboard shift key stuck on
Hey guys,
My mac mini g4 with Apple Pro keyboard has it's shift key stuck on and will not disable, this happened after I cleaned the keys with a "magic eraser" and is probably water damage, but when it is plugged into a PC the shift key is off and can be toggled as should be. Any help will be appericiated and if I can fix this it will save the faithful keyboard. Thanks in advance!Thank you chorleyman! I upload a podcast each week using Podcast Maker. When I search the iTunes Store to determine if the most recent one is listed all the podcasts are in random order. This week's is #14; last week's is #1. Any ideas how to correct this? The odd thing is that when you try to subscribe to the podcasts, they are listed in the proper order.
