HT201412 My iPad turns on but it shows an iTunes logo with a USB, why?
I recently updated my iOS and when it finished, it turned back on, only to show the iTunes logo with a USB. I connected it to my computer and restored it still doesn't work and continues to show the image
Try forcing it into recovery mode if you can't restore the conventional way.

But this is how it goes ....
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore. -
Good day, please help do a manual reset on my iphone 4s. I was updating my itunes and all a sudden i discover the USB cord disconnected while updating which later show me itunes logo with the USB cord charger display since yesterday. I would connect it by microUSB cable to a computer and use itunes on the computer to restore the firmware of the appletv if that did not work then if I would return it under warrenty if it's under warrenty

My phone is not coming on except for the usb cord showing in the screen with an Itunes logo after doing an update that I received on line when putting my phone into the station for the night, I saw that there was an update so I said yes. Then this happen. Could someone please help me here, because I do not want to restore or I will lose everything I have with numbers and music in my library. Please advise and respond to me. I can't get my iphone 4s out of recovery mode. I have tried many things including: connecting it to iTunes and going through the recovery steps, holding down the home button and the lock button until the apple icon appears. Neither of these has worked.
Place the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore.

In need of some help, my Ipad turned off two days ago. I pushed the home button and the start to reset. Now it shows the Itunes logo with the connecter cord and an arrow. I plugged it into my PC, and there was an update for my Ipad. Waited the three hours for the update and disconnected hoping that everything was fixed. Would not turn on again so held the start/home and it still shows the Itunes logo, and when I plug it into my PC, Itunes will no longer open. I live three hours away from the nearest Apple store and would like to get it fixed at home if possible.
Did you expect iTunes to start automatically or did you start it yourself? Start iTunes and then connect the iPad.

Hi everyone! I tried to install the new iOs 7 on my iphone 4, but it wasn't completed (showing error 4005). Now, my iphone is stuck on the itunes' logo with the usb cord, and I can't use my phone. And itunes doesn't detect my iphone when I connect it on my computer, so I can't put it in recovery mode or someting like that... What can I do?? I tried everything they tell me to do in the apple support but nothing seems to work. Thank you!

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -

Tried to upgrading ipad 1 from itunes and l guess it did not complete the process because all I have showing on the ipad is the itunes logo with the usb cable. When l try to connect it to my system, it resquest that a driver be used to install the device. Please help! How do I restore?
Restoration is relatively simplistic. Here's whatcha do. Plug your ipad in, open itunes, now if itunes doesn't recognize it then you may have a problem, anywho, click on the ipad in the devices interface and go to the info tab, click restore, and it'll be just like it was when it left the factory. To get you data back, it should ask if you would like to use a backup, just select the backup you want and you'll be good to go. That is if you regularly backed up your iPad.
