Have you created a backup recently? If its not powering on at all then we might need to try and get it into recovery mode and restore the phone. However if you don't have a back up you will lose all your data. But this might be our only option since it wont power up..
1. Connect one end of your use charger to the computer, but do not plug the phone in yet
2. Press and hold the Home Button and plug the phone into the computer. Keep holding the Home Button till you see "Connect to iTunes"

Try different USB Cable, try different Charger. Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. If still problem and you have Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, most likely it could be battery or charging port assembly that need replacement.

If the phone shows the "connect to iTunes" screen, the data on the phone is most likely lost.
Connecting in recovery mode is your only chance to use the phone again, besides getting it serviced by Apple.

IPhone 3GS suddenly stopped working with wifi in only one location

This is the situation. I have an iPhone 3GS and it the wifi suddenly stopped working at my house (just with the iPhone).
I have an Airport express (latest generation) and a time capsule (1st generation). All of my devices (except a PC laptop which isn't much of an issue, and the iPhone) cannot connect to it. The devices I have are as follows: Apple TV, iPod Touch, iPad 2, the "new" iPad, a macintosh computer.
However, when I move the Airport express to my work location, and plug it into the ethernet there, the iPhone works totally fine. It seems like the issue is just at my house. The Time Capsule works intermittently sometimes; random devices cannot connect to the network sometimes. The airport express seemed to fix this problem. I have read that this problem is related to the operating system "Lion" but the network was working fine for months and months after I have upgraded to lion. Sometimes both devices cease to work, and there is no internet to any devices in my home.
The network is password protected, so that removes the possibility of neighbors connecting to the network. The name of the network contains spaces and "symbols" which I have heard is an issue for PC's trying to connect to networks. Both my home and my workplace are on the same internet provider.
My questions are:
Why does the airport express work with the iPhone at my workplace and not at my house?
How many devices can a 1st gen Time Capsule handle at once?
If I buy an airport extreme, will it fix this issue?
How can I fix this?

Using the delete all content and settings option is not restoring the iPhone. Using the delete all content and settings option does exactly that - all content and settings are securely deleted except for the firmware, which is not a restore.
If you do this followed by re-installing an app via the iTunes sync process, the app settings and any data created and stored by the app will be lost. 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app is not stored with the app on your iPhone and is not stored with the app or synced with the app in your iTunes library on your computer.
3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app is stored separately from the app on your iPhone and is included with your iPhone's backup which is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
Restoring an iPhone with iTunes completely erases the iPhone first followed by the firmware being re-installed. After the firmware is re-installed, you are prompted to restore your iPhone from your iPhone's backup, which is the default selection. The other selection available is as a new iPhone. After either one, this must be followed by a sync with iTunes. If you restore from your iPhone's backup followed by re-installing an app that stores data you need to access, the data will be restored with the app. If you restore as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup followed by re-installng an app, the app settings and any data created and stored by the app will not be restored with the app since you didn't restore your iPhone from your iPhone's backup where this data is stored.
If you restore your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup with no change, you can follow this by restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup to recover the 3rd party app settings and the data created and stored by the app along with all other data included with your iPhone's backup.

You can try Restoring it in iTunes. If that doesn't work you will need to get it serviced.

None of these methods worked, so I just took a very thin paintbrush and dampened it using a Clorox wipe. Then, I just wiggled it around in the charging port. The sound worked for like 3 seconds then it stopped again. So I continued to clean it and it worked! After I listened to my music for about 30 minutes until it stopped again. I just blew hard into the port and it started working again. I think the problem was that the phone thought it was docked into speakers because it was so dirty. I think I'm going to get an Otterbox so this doesn't happen again. I hope I helped.

Does it not work either way? Sending and receiving? Did you check the settings and make sure that nothing has changed? If you can receive email, but not send it, check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

I had been listening to a podcast and stopped to take a picture, when I discovered my iPhone 5 not responding to anything (the camera screen had opened but could not be operated) and my podcast had stopped. The screen went back to the "closed" position ("world globe and time) and I could not get the "slide to unlock," camera, or slide up mini menu to function. I tried to power off, but the phone would not respond to the "slide to power off" function, nor would holding down the power button for any length of time do anything. I plugged it into the computer and tried to do a reset, but it would not allow it until I turned off the "Find my iPhone" function, which I couldn't do since I couldn't get into the phone. I did an "unistall" of the aforementioned app from my computer, but I still got the same message that I had to turn that function off on my phone.
Finally, I had my wife call my phone to see if the phone would work. Sure enough, the phone rang and I was able to answer it; and from there I everything else seemed to restore to normal. Strange, that all the other advice on the support website had failed, but the phone did the trick. Saved a trip to the Apple Store.

I was texting my friends as usual today when suddenly my iMessage just completely stopped working. All of my contacts turned to green except for one but whenever I sent a text to her, it would fail to send. I tried turning off iMessage and returning it back on but it remained at "waiting for activation" for hours. I tried resetting the Network but that did not work either. I'm getting pretty annoyed at this problem since all my group chats and other iMessage chats will not be working for me. Solutions anyone?

My Mom and I have had iPhone 4s for almost a year. They are up to date. Yesterday and Today, however, the 3G no longer works. It has always worked up to this point. Does anybody have any ideas as to why or how to fix this? Thanks

try a reset you won't lose any data. hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release. wait for the phone to boot back up. see if that helps.

Hulu, Netflix and my personal videos have been working fairly well on appletv. Suddenly, without warning, they have all failed. My subscription via my apple ID is on automatic renewal, so the issue of non-paid services does not arise. On the other hand, YouTube is working perfectly well on appleTV.
Several solutions offered in the discussion group such as setting the appletv on sleep mode are not technical solutions. Rather, these solutions offered remind me of analogue age, when one had to hit the side of a TV set when reception failed.
In my case, I am using the same HD TV set that has been working all along. A new cable has failed, but if I am told to pay for an advice related to a fault that is not mine, I would rather buy a set box that is void of appletv or apple.
Apple please give a clear, well defined technical solution on the problem with your device, and to be specific on the following error:
"This content requires HDCP for playback"
I know what HDCP is, and one cannot say that this is related to a dynamic code that evolves with time, failing at a time of its convinience.

Themes suddenly stopped working after trying new theme

I installed a theme in TB and it looked nice, so I decided to try it in FF36.04. It worked, but when I tried to go back to my old theme (Same author), it didn't work and the area at the top went black with just the usual text. I tried to go back to my old theme (same Author) which has worked fine for years. When I went to Add-ons | themes it lists the various themes, but doesn't display pics. If you go to the specific page of the theme (via add-ons) it only shows the author and theme name along with the disable/remove button, no picture or any other details. This is the same for all themes.
I tried adding a new theme at random and it worked and displayed the picture in the themes tab, but the others still don't work. They show different colours if I enable different themes, which I assume is the background. I've tried all the usual things, going back to default (seems OK), tried restarting FF, Rebooting laptop, etc. but nothing gets my old theme back that I've had for years.
Because a new theme worked, I could presumably remove all my old themes and go and download them and install them again, but something went wrong and I'd like to fix whatever it is, rather than perhaps leave a hidden problem.
Any suggestions?
***Edit - Just updated to FF37.0.1 and no change. I have noticed though that the theme I tried to add originally (the one when the problem started) is not actually in the list of themes! It did work at first, it was when I went to change back to my old theme that the problem started.

A bit more information.
I found the lightweighttheme-header and lightweighttheme-footer would change to HTML files if I set the default FF theme. I renamed those for safe keeping and copied the picture files of the same name from TB, which I confirmed were the correct pictures.
Restarted FF and no change (tried changing personas, etc). It did not create a lwthemes directory. I copied the 2 files from the lwthemes directory of TB over to a new lwthemes under FF's xxxxx.default and started FF again, but still no change.
I checked the prefs.js and found the 'A Tropical State of Mind' referenced in numerous places, along with other personas. Also found these settings -

I changed the '''lightweightThemes.persisted.footerURL''' and headerURL to true and I now have the correct pictures back in FF - However when I go to the ad-ons | Appearance, the list of personas still has no pictures and the individual pages for those personas are the same (blank other than the name and buttons), even the 'A tropical state of mind' one that is now showing correctly at the top of FF. It has updated the files in the lwthemes directory.
I then tried to select another persona with no picture and it's now back to the same problem with just the background (presumably) up, even when changing back to the tropical one that was just working.
