HT201412 settings are not working and only searching showing on top left
my iphone 4s not working,i can't make a call and when i pressed the setting icon it's all come up all white screen.on top left side says only 'searching'
OK everyone - I think I figured it out!
I had the same problems:
- 'Searching' in upper left
- Inability to make/receive calls
- Inability to access the internet
- Inability to access mail
- Setup menu comes up blank
- Cannot shut down/reboot by holding down top right button
Here's what to do:
- Hold down both the top right button and the lower middle button at the same time for a few seconds and you should see the white Apple logo appear on the screen.
- Let go of the buttons at this point and the phone will reboot
- When it comes back, everything should be OK
Only other thing I notoced is that I actually watched the battery drain fromm 80% to 10% when it came back online! Very strange!

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

With 'Mail v8' and 'Yosemite' 'mail' "account settings" are not saved and I keep having to check the "SSL" box. This has only occurred since upgrade to Yosemite?

The Battery icon with the "X" indicates that your computer does not detect a battery and is operating on electrical power from AC since your computer is plugged in. If your battery is installed but not detected that indicates a problem: 1. the battery is dead; 2. the battery connector is not functioning properly. You mention that there is no response from the indicator lights so it could be either of the two possibilities. The noise is not a good sign. Best to shut it down safely while you can to prevent any possibility of damage and get it to an Apple Genius Bar or Authorized Apple Service Provider to discover the nature of the problem

my "go to in point" and "go to out point" keyboard shortcuts are not working, and the default keys aren't either? any help would be amazing! I use these keys a million times a hour and since I have switched to cc I cant get them to work. track selection makes no difference or if there are markers on the timeline or not.

I have to admit there are a lot of small moments like this that makes me miss Avid. Any other suggestions? I can't access Start neither by Windows Start Window Icon nor by the Key Board Windows Button.
I thought that the problem would be solved by the updates, but the windows updates is no longer in the control panel and the PC SETTINGS is not launching and the window opens only having the Settings enlarged icon.

This is a direct copy from Insider Hub regarding how to check for Windows Updates when Start Menu is not functioning. Hope it also applies to your issue.....
Start menu
When you boot Windows 10 Technical Preview, the Start menu may not appear. Checking for updates may fix this problem. To check for updates without the Start menu, do the following:
Select the Internet Explorer icon.
Type http://update.microsoft.com into the address bar and select
Enter.
If you are prompted to run a control, click
Yes.
This should bring up the Check for updates window. Install updates.
If no update is available, or the available updates don’t fix the issue, restart the device–this should make the Start menu appear. To reboot without using the Start menu:
Hold down the Windows key and select L to lock the device. Swipe up or select
Enter to open the sign in screen. Select the
Power icon on the log in screen to restart the computer.
OR
Hold down the Windows key and select R to bring up a command prompt. In the prompt, type

Tun miniport adapters are not working and the camera card reader is not working on a T61P.
The Microsoft tun miniport adapters #4,2, and 3 are not working. They display code 10 error message. Also the USB mass storage device (camera card reader) is not working.
I have tried to uninstall and update the drivers to no avail. I have used ThinkVantage Tool Box. It only lets me know that they are not working. It does say to reinstall them. I have tried. All effort has failed.
All was find until I ran several updates via ThinkVantage.
All suggestions would be appreciated.

Restore best as new since you have issues ,then you will know if it has started to function correctly ,if not .....

As PC Settings are not opening I'm not able to check for the newest build 9878 to download and upgrade. WHAT to do WHERE pls. ? WIN+C opens the charms bar where I'm still able to select Settings and then "Change PC Settings" BUT it only
docks on to the tool bar ....Had a similar issue, fixed by running Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
and reboot.

Windows Live Tiles are not working and refreshing

I have looked for an answer but can't seem to find one so this is honestly my last resort. For some reason my Windows live tiles are not working nor refreshing. When I open my Netflix app for instance I get a playback error N8102, but I am strangely connected
to the internet. Oddly, however, Netflix does work well using firefox on the desktop.
I tried to check if I needed an app update for Netflix, but the Windows app store is not loading as well. Internet explorer app is not working, and IE on the desktop is taking too long to load. But firefox and chrome work perfectly well on the desktop.
Other problems that I have encountered are:
Microsoft Office 2013 is taking too long to open, and when it does it often crashes
I can't view my Windows Updates
Can't view control panel. It also crashes.
