If you lose sound for games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.

Please try going to your settings area of your display. Click on General and go to 'reset all settings'

Apple, as I said, does not repair your iPhone. All hardware service issues are handled by replacing the unit. So they can't handle the home-button issue without also addressing the issue of the cracked screen, for which they'll almost certainly charge you. But you can make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple tech support and plead your case.

Most likely the LCD Display connector simply came loose from its logic board connector. Take iPhone back to where it was repaired, and ask them to simply press the connector back into its place. Ask them to apply a bit of foam material or several small pieces of tape on top so the pressure of the flex connector plate holds it properly in place for the future.

You shouldn't feel stupid, rather I think Apple should feel stupid. I swear I used to be able to simply select "Video" in the previous IOS version (rather than swipe). What value is there in having to have everyone relearn how to use their iPad?

Make sure the silent switch is not set to mute. If you can see the red dot, it is on mute.
It may think you have headphones plugged in, try plugging and unplugging a wired headset a few time.
The next step would be to restore as new.
If none of that works, a warranty exchange would be the resolution.

Water is generally fatal for iPads. You might take it to your Authorized Apple Service Center and see what they can do for you.

Zooming out in example "Simple Graph" does not work.

In Measurement Studio, VC++, the feature "Zooming out" does not work. I only can zoom in a graph by drawing a rectangle with the left mouse button.

There isn't a built in "zoom out" functionality with the graph. There are several zoom modes of the graph, but if you want to zoom out, say with a right click or a key press, you would have to implement it yourself as it is not built-in.

and scroll down until you see

drag the one you can (may see two) to the Trash, reboot, reset your System Preferences again.

You said the 3G is not working. How do you know it is not working? Are there any bars? Is there a 3G icon? Did you set up a 3G plan with your provider?
