I can't use my screen any more as everything is over-magnified. I can't even type in my security code to get started. How do I shrink it back to a functional size?

I believe I am having the same issue. Here is a screenshot of what my font list looks like. When highlighting over the fonts the names will show. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

When a html coded page requires the Windows Symbol font, Firefox does not call it, and the English alphabet characters display instead. How can I get the Symbol font to work when the page is loaded in Firefox??

This site shows Greek letters and Greek words by calling for the Windows Symbol font. The page(s) involved display correctly in Internet Explorer, but not in Firefox 3.6.1 or 8.1. In Firefox, the Greek letter does not appear, it is just replaced with the English letter for the equivalent keystroke. Here is a html line that ought to cause Symbol's Greek letter lowercase alpha to be displayed, but all you get is an "a" :

Reemphasizing, the page code works on Internet Explorer. It does _not_ work with Firefox ver 3.6.1 nor ver 8.0.1 (which I upgraded to, to see if that would solve the problem). The MDC FAQ solution is not a solution, because it forces the html coder to change his language just to accommodate Firefox. Firefox needs to change to conform to standards.

I think Firefox wants you to use _its_ font faces, not the standard Windows fonts. They do not have a Symbol font to replace the Windows TTF, I guess.

The fonts are not displaying correctly

When I open a text box and type all of the fonts are all basically the same. They donot display correctly. I uninstalled and re-installed photoshop elements 11 and they still do not work.

Have you tried resetting the Type tool?
Click on the icon ...
...... select Reset Tool from the drop down list.
If that doesn't work, please let know which operating system you are running on.

I have this problem where the font that displays on my browser has changed to an unknown f0nt. It is still an English alphabet compatible font, so I can read what is written, but its harder to tell what it says compared to other more fundamental/basic fonts.
I'm not too sure what font it is, but regardless I would like it not to show up. I've tried to change some of the settings, but nothing has worked so far.
I work on a MACOSX system.

The font for Mozilla has changed. How do I get it back to what it was?

Tonight I changed the AOL display page. After that the font had changed to all of Mazilla. I want it back the way it was. This new one is very hard to read. How can I get it changed back?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
If fonts are messed up or look blurry then try to set the gfx.content.azure.enabled pref to false or if this didn't help disable Direct2D by setting the gfx.direct2d.disabled pref to true on the about:config page and leave hardware acceleration otherwise enabled.

So, you do not see any fonts bold that shouldn't be bold?
What are your current default font settings?
If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a (too) high value can cause issues.

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

It is better not to increase the minimum font size in case you need a larger font, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.

Is there a way to change the font in iTunes 10 back to how it used to be?

I'm not sure, but I think the change was using the font "Segoe UI" instead of "Tahoma", and maybe, Lucida Grande.
I haven't tried it, but I assume you can edit the fonts, which are specified in (basically) a text file (at least, for iTunes 10).
Make a backup of the file before you edit anything (or you can repair/reinstall if you mess it up). See the following post for some more info:

You'll want to edit the "font", not the "xp-font". I can't tell you what fonts will work.

Why are the fonts displayed larger in Mountain Lion?

Hi,
I have upgrade a 4 year old (ish) iMac from Snow Lepoard to Mountain Lion, and all my documents now seem to be display the fonts larger post upgrade then they did before the upgrade.
For example I have a spread sheet with an Arial 10 font, the font actully is displaying as something that looks closer to 14 point font.
Any ideas how I get to display the fonts at a normal level?
Oh and whats up with the brightness? I have it set to zero for the display to be usable :s

I dont think it is, thats the first thing I checked. The Resolution is set at, best for builtin display, Ihave tried sitting to the highest setting and to the one below that just to make sure it was actually picking the best resoloution, I might try that again, and load the offending documents and see what happens.
On the other hand the menu, and applications seem to render correctly, the only place I am currenlly sure I am seeing this is at shut down, and with open office.
I will check for an update to open office.
Currently repairing permissions to see if that helps.

Display font is huge, how do i resize back to normal?!

the font on my screen is huge! i already tried "system preferences, universal access, zoom off" and it hasn't changed back, and the zoom IS off.
does anyone know how i can change it back to normal??

Hey, ive been on mac since the 8 systems i think, and i remember there being an option on font size, can you tell me if its your folders and icons that have the large text, everything you see, or just your internet browser? Also, i'm assuming you have a macbook pro, and depending on the size of the screen, (im guessing 15.4), your resolution should be set to 1440 x 900, that is the standard resolution that comes on your computer. again, assuming that its a 15.4 inch macbook pro, but either way 700x480 is very small for the screen size. And i just tried setting my resolution to what yours is, and it does make it look like everything is zoomed in. So try setting your resolution to 1440 x 900, and if that doesnt work get back to here, and ill tell you what to do if its just the fonts.

Fonts don't display correctly

I opened a site to make some updates, and several of my fonts are not displaying correctly in the Design window. When I click on Preview the fonts are correctly displayed, but some graphics and text move position. Is anyone else having these problems?

I followed the feedback provided at http://forums.adobe.com/message/6273605#6273605 and renamed the folders tk1 and tk2. This seems to resolve the font rendering issue for Bebas Neue and Rosario, but the Preview page still does not match the Design page with 100% accuracy.
It is at least usable now to make edits.
