I tried syncing my new iphone5 to itunes. I tunes has been uninstalled and updated. It does not recognize the iphone. Drivers are there and up to date...help.
If the phone was no longer under warranty, regardless of the reason that the phone failed, you would have to pay the out-of-warranty replacement cost.

Hold down the Home button and the Power button simutaneously, until the screen goes black and the device turns off.
Now let go of the Power button, but continue to hold the Home button. Your iPod Touch/iPhone should have turned off and the screen should not be on.
After around ~10-20 seconds, you will hear a noise (beep/ding) from your CPU as if it had just recognized a new hardware device
and restore it to default settings, in order to remove your password (or just remove your password directly from the iPod touch, in order to sync with iTunes) -

If disabled because of a passcode, and you have not synced AFTER setting the passcode, you will have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it as a new device. All data on your phone will be erased:
Turn your phone off. Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. In your case, setup as "new" will be your ONLY option. -

The screen you're seeing on your iPhone indicates it is in recovery mode. Now since the device is not appearing in iTunes on your PC, first follow the steps in this article:

i bought a locked at&t phone....
i sent it to be unlocked... got back a dead iphone 5s...
plugged the charger in the wall, it gives me a black screen then the white screen with the apple logo, then repeat....
i tried the dfu thing and now the phone is saying connect to itunes, when i plug the phone outta the wall, the phone goes dead.....

How do I delete an iCloud ID from on my iPhone 5s, The phone only shows my old apple ID, not the new one?
Go to Settings -> icloud and then you should see your icloud id, scroll to the bottom and select delete account, you are then able to add your new one.

When I am abroad (living in Norway) the phone only temporarily (and seldom) connects to a network. Most of the time is says "no service" in top left corner...From advice I have tried to turn it on/off...with and without sim installed...roaming makes no diff. Can anyone help me?

If she has full reception and connection with the same cell phone carrier where you don't - with you both using a SIM card provided by the same carrier while in Norway with an unlocked iPhone, then make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby to have a diagnostic test run on your iPhone.
In the interim, I would contact this cell phone carrier in Norway to ensure your iPhone is provisioned properly. They can run a reset for your account that will require powering your iPhone off, so call them with your wife's iPhone for this. -
Hi. I would really appreciate if someone could help me find a way to solve my problem. I bought a second hand iphone4 from my friend's friend. I fully trust my friend coz she said this iphone is working but it was handed to her lowbat so i get home i recharge it immediately and after charging it, i open and it shows to select language and country and i did select. After this it shows on the screen "Connect to itunes". Then i plug it in to my laptop and connect to itunes. It shows in my itunes " There is a problem with your iphone". The wife tried to do an update on her new IPhone 5c now it is frozen at an ITunes screen, the screen has a pic of a cable and phone connector pointing to an ITunes symbol with the word ITunes under it. when it tries to do a restore the computer comes up with an error 21.

Against my better judgement, I let iTunes update my ipad with the 5.1.1 IOS. After the download was complete, the iPad showed the Connect to Itunes screen and the device wasn't showing in my iTunes so I unplugged the USB. Now the iPad is stuck on the Connect to iTunes screen. I have tried doing the system restore trick, and that looks like it works when the Apple logo shows up, but right after that it goes back to the Connect to iTunes screen. I tried just plugging it back into my computer and connecting it to iTunes but now neither iTunes nor my computer recognizes the device. The iPad will not go to any other screen and will not even power off, just stays on the Connect to iTunes screen. I live 300+ miles from the nearest Apple store so going in is not really an option. I would appreciate any help that would keep me from throwing this thing against the wall.

I have a similar issue, I tried doing the restore, but now the computer is unable to recognize the ipad. Itunes does not detect the ipad. The ipad works but not able to sync with the computer.
Checking on the device manager of windows 7, it shows that there is an unknown device with no driver for it. How to get a driver for the same? Any suggestions? -
IPhone4S: tried to update to iOS6 and now will only show "connect to iTunes" screen
I've got an iPhone4S and tried to update to iOS6 via iTunes. While installing, a message came up on my computer saying that "iOS6 could not be installed due to an unknown reason" (I'm paraphrasing b/c I didn't write it down, figuring that I could just re-do it). Ever since that message came up, neither iTunes or my computer recognizes that the phone is plugged in. Also the phone sceen is stuck on the "connect to iTunes" screen, which displays the USB cable with an arrow pointing to an iTunes logo. I've done the 10 seconds reset, updated iTunes, etc., and everything else that the iPhone troubleshooting suggests. Nothing is working, and my phone is totally un-usable. PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!
1)I tried tinyumbrella. But it stills stucks in Recorvery Loop.
2)Tried also using DFU mode buty tinyumbrella isn't detecting the device in DFU mode.
3)I also tried iRecovery and results are same.
4)Is there anyother way to break the recovery loop as i don't have any backup for my device. -

You must have the credentials that were used to turn on Find my iPhone on the device. Without them, you can not get past the activation lock.
