    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Some glitch occured and you have to restore/erse the iPod. Y will have to restore from an existing backup if y ohave one.

    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

    You don't say what version of OS X you're running.  If you're trying to sync running iOS 6 you'll need OS X 10.5.8 or later and iTunes 10.6.3 or later.  There are other troubleshooting steps here: iPhone not recognized in iTunes for Mac.

    My daughters iPod is now disabled because of my youngest daughter trying to get on it while away. I tried to restore it as per instructions via support site. It took 5 hours to do the download. I left it over night and in the morning I found the iPod still disabled. I have a download on iTunes so I tried to click on that and it won't open. I have to admit, I am not a computer wizz here. Could someone possible direct me to what I should do now? Thank you.

    Error 1604
    This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
    If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
    Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
    Restore and wait for the error.
    When prompted, click OK.
    Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
    The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
    If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

    Basically, I had hooked up my iTouch one day to recharge it and suddenly an apple application attempted to install itself. I dont know the specifics on the installation just because I figured it wasn't anything special. Once it installed this application, I could no longer get my USB ports to detect USB connections anymore. Long story short, I started deleting the most recent iTunes and Apple programs to hopefully remove whatever could have disrupted the connections, but my father ended up fixing the USB detection and turns out my iTunes shows up with that error included in my subject for this message. Anyone know how to fix the issue because I have reinstalled and uninstalled iTunes and it just doesn't seem to be changing the situation for me. Any help would be much appreciated!

    When I installed the 8.0.1 patch on my iMac, I noticed that iTunes quit working correctly after importing some new tracks. It would not quit. I had to force quit but then it would not open correctly the next time and it would not quit. From that point on, my computer went down hill. When I installed the latest security patch and executed a reboot, the system would not come up. I used my 10.5 DVD and repaired permissions, etc. Nothing worked. I booted off my backup drive and everything works fine.
    Even on my backup drive iTunes will not come up. I don't get an error but the Dock icon says "Application Not Responding". I renamed the iTunes folder and it created a new one on initial startup but it just hangs. I deleted iTunes, rebooted, re-installed iTunes and have the same thing.
    Tonight I experienced the same issue with iTunes not quitting on my MacBook Pro !

    When I selected the Itunes store on my win PC today-the program was closed by windows with windows saying there was a problem. I tried a couple of times and then uninstalled the itunes software and reinstalled it with the same results. The program has always worked before but I have not used it recently since the Ipad now receives it's software updates right off the router. I am running Win 7 with IE10. Anyone with the same problem?

I have always like adobe products, however if this is the type of support they offer, I will never purchase another product of theirs.
