Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone
If you can’t turn off Find My iPhone on the device, turn off the device so it goes offline, then remove it from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.

Turn off the device.

To make sure your device doesn’t reappear, turn off Find My iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above to remove an iOS device or Mac), or if you have an iOS device, you can erase it, then remove it (follow the instructions below to remove an iOS device you no longer have). -

Photos that were synced from a computer won't show for copying to a computer. If you want to copy them back then you will need a third-party app on your phone such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to a device, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer (e.g. their dimensions might be different and their colours may look a bit different).

Here's an interesting bit: iTunes will let me restore my iPod touch from backup: it's still running iOS 4.3.3. I figured as much... there's backups showing in the Preferences -> Devices list for both devices (and even my old, long gone iPod touch 2G), but my iPhone (on iOS5) isn't giving me any such option. I remember I had to downgrade before to get the backup restored (something went haywire in the setup assistant, and I couldn't restore a backup from iTunes there)... If it was possible to go to iOS 5.0 rather than 5.0.1 I would just do the same thing again, but iOS 5.0.1 isn't an option. I attached a screenshot. Hopefully Apple can get this nonsense sorted out; I think iOS 5 might be the root of this, somehow.

Short version: iTunes will transfer the purchases made from the iTunes Store on your iPhoneh to your computer. It treats all other music and video syncing as a one-way street, to comply with copyright laws (wont sync stuff not purchased through iTunes from your iPhone to your computer). -

Yes. You might be able to follow the steps listed and do it on your own (just make sure when it gets to the point in iTunes to add your info you add your phone number). If you run into trouble or would rather make sure it is done right you can contact Verizon or go to the store and have them activate it on your line. -

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

Check in iTunes:

You mean update your iPhone software? Yes, you can do that on any computer, but it REQUIRES an internet connection & yes the software needs to be downloaded unless already on the computer and the exact version for your model iPhone.
