Mikey, I have the exact same problem. Dropped my 3gs on Thanksgiving, phone was not responsive, plugged into the wall charger, went to grey iPhone restore screen, then said to connect to itunes. So I plugged it into itunes but itunes wont recognize it nor will my computer. I searched the internet for hours with no success. I tried to change USB ports and cords, tired removing the SIM card, reinstalled itunes, everything. When I put it in DFU mode itunes recognizes an iphone in recovery mode, so I click restore and update, then I get error 1602 every time. My iPhone also loses power when I unplug it from the wall. I do not know what to try next. You are the only person I have found with the same exact problem I have. I will update you if I find a way to get my phone working again and I hope you will do the same. I'm very frustrated

The only reason you use bluetooth between iPad/iPhone its to share the internet from iPhone to wifi only iPad.
In order to see the bluetooth connection, you must first enable the Personal Hotspot on the iPhone.
Then on the iPhone, open Setting s> Bluetooth.
Then open the Bluetooth on the iPad adn pair teh devices.

If the previous owner bought the apps then they would have to be updated using his/her account. The apps are not yours. You would need to buy your own.

HT1212 My fully charged iPhone screen is black and not responding. what can I do to get it to work again? I have never syncd on iTunes. I connected to my laptop and iTunes app displays error msg saying phone is locked and unlock phone to connect.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Iphone 5 being dead and not charging

iv had my white iphone5 since this past christmas and just recently my charger broke so my phone stayed dead for 24 hours i went and bought a cheap charger it didnt work so after 48 i went and bought a more expensive one at walmart got it home and its been charging for about 30 or 40 mintues now and still nothing iv even tried the hard restart and nada is there something wrong ? HELP!!!

No matter how expensive it is if it isn't a compatible charger it won't work. Charge it with a USB port on your computer, or get a real Apple charger. After charging for at least 30 minutes hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until something happens. Hold for up to a minute if necessary. If nothing happens after a minute your phone is broken. If an Apple logo appears let go of the buttons and the phone will reset. In any other message appears follow the instructions.

WHY IS 'SHARE' IN LIGHT GRAY AND NOT RESPONDING FOR EXPORT??

When I attempt to export my file......via SHARE then export media onto external hard drive OR Youtube.....the whole of the SHARE column is pale Gray, so i cannot export my work.
I have been exporting for months........Someone suggested MacKeeper is to blame....I have recently taken a subscription to MacKeeper....Any thoughts greatfully recieved.

Tom, instead of trolling either be helpful and post the most relevant posts that worked or don't post at all.
So far most of those posts had no viable solution except remove prefs and reinstall.. which mainly get, that didn't work. It's like we've gone back to windows and asking for a reboot as first level tech support.
Why is it happening, what has changed, and what can be done to diagnostically look into this further?

I have turned on my iPod Touch 2nd Generation and i wanted to slide the unlock and the touchscreen didnt responded. I then did several restarts and also restored the device after reading some forums and help platforms and still it the screen doesnt react to touch at all. It can be conected to iTunes and i can sync, but not use the device. Any additional help to revive this great device? Or is the Genius Bar and another investment my only option?

If you restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and still have the problem then you likely have an hardware problem and the Genius Bar is a good option.

It is working except when I am receiving a new email ; and in the process of clicking on the new email ; Thunderbird initially is not responding for 20 to 30 sec; then starts working again . Any recommendations ?

Are you currently plugging it into a computer? If so, try plugging it into a USB power adapter. It's possible that you're trying to charge it from a low-power USB port, and that's not enough to sustain your phone and get it charging.
If you're still unable to get it to charge, schedule a visit with your local genius bar at apple.com/retail

Hi, my iPhone 3GS Camera Application and the Photo Application (Base Apple Photo-related apps "Photos", "Camera") will not open. When I tap either of them, it takes me back to the Home Screen and for a brief moment says "Library Updating", I have been waiting over a day for this to work and it still wont open.

ok seems you have to do a restore...but in the process your photos might be not backed up so i suggest you download this
